Since last December they stopped coming out...
So when I saw them again this morning I had to pour them water.
I've been seeing these black little ants in my kitchen...
They usually come to pick the leftovers in my plates whenever I left them unwashed.
They're always very annoying so whenever I saw them, I'll turn on my lighter and burn them up as they move in their long queues from the ceiling to my sink in the kitchen.
They went through such wickedness in my hands.
Sometimes I'd use water and wash them off.
Then I stopped seeing them towards the end of last year.
I've seen them around a few times these past days...
But I wasn't expecting them so early before 6am when I went to clean up my kitchen.
Before 6am!
The physical dexterity of these very little creatures is just so amazing.
All round the year, they're up and gathering, and with their little muscles they can bring down a mountain.
..their strength, consistency, focus and drive.
No wonder the Bible says in Proverbs 6:7-9...
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander, no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?
Well, God uses the little and foolish things of this world to teach the wise.

It's like cooking afang soup...
I remember when I began to live alone here in Port Harcourt.
For sometime, I really wanted to cook afang soup. I had been longing for it. My friend that used to prepare it for us, had just travelled...
There was no other option, but to prepare it myself.
So I went on Google, and searched "how to cook afang soup".
I stumbled on a site that guided me to cook egusi soup back then in school.
I checked the site out and they had steps on how to cook afang soup.
I immediately wrote some things down and reached out to my friend to find out how much afang he used to buy to make the soup for both of us.
That way I'd know how much I'd to buy for me alone.
Then, I went to market that evening and got every other thing I needed.
I followed the exact same steps on that site...
And guess what...
My afang soup came out perfect.
I remember bragging to one of my friends about my afang soup.
And that's exactly how life is.
If there's something you want to achieve
Find out if there's somebody that has achieved that already, reach out to them, and find out how they did it.
And follow suit.
Stop trying to figure everything out on your own. There will always be time for that.
Personally, I've stopped stressing out my head cause it's meaningless and time-wasting.
I simply find somebody that has achieved it and I chase them.
That way, achieving success becomes easy.
Now, did I say you should not learn to figure things out?
Of course not.
But there's always time for everything. It's even easier to figure things out when there's somebody to guide.
This is 2023. Wise up!
I wish you a most glorious Sunday

Let me share a story with you...
Last year a company in Nigeria opened a branch in a certain region of the country. The new branch needed somebody to fill in a vacant role at manager level in one the departments
So, the branch manager reached out to some senior staffs in the company for recommendation. Two of the senior staffs, one a very senior staff, in the company recommended somebody they had known in the past to come in and fill the role.
It would have made sense to just reach out to the person recommended to come in and fill the role without an interview. But for whatever reason they just decided to invite her for an interview.
She was asked some questions...
Guess what...
She fumbled.
Quite disappointedly, she even fumbled on very simple questions.
Imagine how the two top people that recommended her would feel...
Very disappointed
You see, 2023 is going to be an awesome year...
Opportunities will show up from everywhere, and infact we have always had job opportunities in this country. Just that those
So, don't only reach out to people to recommend you for jobs or recommend jobs to you...
Develop yourself, know what you should know so when the opportunity shows up, you don't disappoint yourself and those that recommended you.
Have you heard this before...
The money you are looking for is also looking for you, just that it has not seen the right version of you that will manage it, spend it and invest it well.
Let's develop ourselves!

Being a child of God...
Being a follower of Jesus is supposed to be a 💯% lifestyle.
It should reflect in every aspect of our lives.
Not just when we go to church or when we wakeup in the morning for morning devotion.
It should reflect...
In the way we do our business...
In the way we discharge our responsibilities at work
In the way we handle our studies as students.
In the way we communicate
The results we produce should be dynamic...
People should look and be lost in admiration.
Let's take a peep into the lives of Daniel and his three friends...
The Bible says in the book of Dan.1:20...
Whenever the king consulted them on anything, on books or on life, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom put together. (MSB)
These four guys were way more smarter than all their contemporaries in all matters of learning.
As followers of Jesus we ought to be exceptional. We should produce the kind of results that the world and everyone in our field should only marvel at.
That's what it really means to be a follower of Jesus.
I'm a proud follower of Jesus...
Seek to be one too.
Do have a most beautiful day!

Management is everything...
If you can't manage the 10k well, the 100k will not come.
If you can't manage the 100k well, 1M will not come.
There's 100k inside the 10k, and there's 1M inside the 100k...
But you gotta implement effective management.
So, you don't buy that pair of black dressing shoes that has a red sole just because your money can pay for it...
Expenses should be based on I REALLY NEED THIS instead of I JUST WANT IT
And this doesn't have to do with money alone.
It's even more important with time... Cause time is life.
That's why it's called LIFETIME.
So, manage your time and manage your life...
Manage your time well, and manage your life well.
Let me go to work.
Have a most beautiful day.
- Abas Udoh
One of the signs of maturity and responsibility is when you reach a point in your life where you say, "I no dey do again"
Dey pursue woman - I no dey do again
Dey do hookup - I no dey do again
Tear lie to use collect money - I no dey do again
Dey watch p**n - I no dey do again
Spend excessively till you go broke - I no dey do again.
Dey make promise wey you no ft fulfill - I no dey do again.
When you can finally make these decisions and follow them through - Two things will happen...
You'll have peace of mind, and a blossoming health.
You'll now sleep well at night without having to worry over unnecessary debts, and an empty pocket or bank account.
I'll never forget these words from my teacher in primary school,
"A word is enough for the wise".
Next year is not so far, it's less than 24 hours from now...
So, today is a good day to say to that bad habit, "I no dey do again".
Happy new year in advance.

Let me share with you the story of this man that went into a forest to commit su***de. Right inside the forest while trying to hang himself, another man that was naked and had no clothes walked up to him from behind and said, "You want to kill yourself?
Please give me your clothes before you kill yourself".
The man trying to hang himself looked down and wondered,
"Ah! My own problem is not even as bad as not having clothes to wear, yet this man has not killed himself".
The su***de mission was aborted immediately.
Friend, things are not as bad as they seem. Certainly, you are in a better place than most people.
And tomorrow will be the last day of this year.
Like my Pastor said, this is not the time to take count of people that didn't call you this year, this is not the time to count the number of people that you called and they refused to respond...
This is not the time to take count of those who just stopped reaching out to you for no reason, this is not the time to bother over people who refused to reply to your messages.
This is not the time to be worried over how bad things have turned out. You will only be leading yourself to ruin. That's what the devil wants you to do.
But you can be wiser...
The year has been good... Or the year has not been so good, it doesn't even matter now.
This is the when you express gratitude for everything, and it should become a lifestyle.
Because you didn't wear a new Christmas dress doesn't make the year a bad one.
Because you didn't eat your preferred Christmas dish doesn't make the year a bad year.
Maybe the dress you wore on Christmas day just hadn't been worn long enough so it had to be worn again.
See the bright side in all situations. Be grateful!
You have a roof over your head, be grateful.
You have life and a hope, be grateful.
Everything is going on well, be grateful.
You just bought a new car, be grateful.
In all things, be most grateful.
Since you are not in the grave, be most grateful...
Cause it is your praise that leads to your raise.
Life will only get better and better and better.
Gratefulness is one of the keys to unlocking your greatness.
2023 is going to be a most glorious year.
Have a beautiful day

Whenever I want to write a post, like this one...
First I come up with an idea, a goal...
What am I trying to share with the world?
What am I trying to say?
Once I decide on that, I pick up my phone, open my wps and begin to type the words.
When I am done, I go over what I have written and do some editing...
At my scheduled time to make the post...
I show up online on my social media profiles one after the other - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter - and I share my idea with the world.
In the same way, everything you need to achieve your goal in life is already available...
All you have to do is reach, take it and use it.
So, you see you have no reason to wonder whether you're gonna be successful or not...
The universe already has in stock everything you need to be successful... I mean everything.
All you've got to do now is...
Believe in yourself enough to take what is available to you, and achieve the success that you want.
God said to Moses, "what do you have in your hands?"
God used what Moses had in his hands (just a rod) and turned him into a saviour to a whole generation.
Dear, stop whining and making excuses...
You're not without nothing.
Use what you have and make the most out of yourself.
Have a blessed day ahead.
- Abas Udoh.
You can have it...
Yeah, anything you want in this world
You see the universe is structured to deliver to you whatever you want...
If and only if you want it hard enough.
And that's the condition... "If and only if you want it hard enough"
Yeah, because certain things are not going to come cheap.
Most, like the level of success you want to achieve, will only come through hard work, and a daring, never-relenting spirit...
Cause you sacrifice something to get something. That's just how things work.
So what are you willing to sacrifice today to have the kind of life that you want?
Yes, the economy of Nigeria is bad...
Naira is losing value...
But is that even worth stopping you?
Are you like every other person that gives up at the face of a challenge?
So, I ask you again, what are you willing to give up to achieve the kind of success you want.
You want a more comfortable life? You want to make a lot of money so you never have to worry about money again?
All of these come at a price.
So, what are you willing to sacrifice...
You may have to give up some hours of sleep to learn a skill that will keep you ahead of the crowd.
You may have to cut down on your expenses just to save up money to start a business or make an investment...
You may have to give up some fun time just to study harder so you get what you want.
Whatever it is, there is a price to pay to get a much better life than this.
Decide today on what you must sacrifice, the price you must pay...
And begin paying that price today.
Have a blessed day.
- Abas Udoh.
Look no further...
What you're searching for is right there within you.
Stop trying to be like everyone else.
Right within is gold...
Search within you, dig it out and present it to the world
The people you're looking to be like are not better than you.
No one is better than you.
Everyone is unique in their own way
Search out yourself and be unique in your own way.
The world is waiting for you.
Have a great day ahead!

It was another awesome time in class yesterday on HubSpot Digital Marketing certification course.
I learnt how to create a successful video marketing strategy. I learnt that adding a video to your website can increase the chance of a front page result by 53 times.
And there are 3 C's to consider when getting started with video marketing...
1. Commitment: You must plan on getting committed to a certain number of videos over a certain timeframe. Say, 100 videos over 6 months. The goal of this is to get comfortable making videos.
2. Calendar: I learned that there should be days every week blocked out for making videos.
3. Content: There should be key things that form the basis of the video.
And to achieve all of this, you must know your audience, so you know the kind of videos you put out to them at each stage of the buyer's journey.
All thanks to Justin Champion for all the knowledge acquired yesterday.
Motivation is good...
Writing down your goals and dreams is a powerful thing to do...
Having the right mindset is super amazing
But you must understand this...
No success can be achieved without taking the right kind of actions.
You see it is not enough to have a bag of rice at home...
If you don't go ahead to get the rice out of the bag, and into a pot. And set the pot on fire, you may never have the plate of fried rice and chicken that you so long for.
Actions are powerful. Taking massive action is even more powerful.
The success you desire will never come to you, if you don't step out with the right mindset and go after it by taking the right kind of actions today.
Remember, a little sleep and a little slumber... that's how your poverty will come to you like an armed man.
Have a blessed Tuesday.

Today in the digital marketing course on HubSpot Academy I learned...
How search engines rank content
I discovered that search engines do this in three steps -
Building discovery (crawling)
Relevance (indexing)
Building authority (ranking).
Also, I discovered the importance of website performance. I learnt that a slow website equals less traffic as a result of increased bounce rate.
And the best in-class web pages should be interactive within 5.3 seconds.
I just thought to share a bit of my learning experience with you!
Failure or success...
It all begins in your heart.
You see the difference between success and failure often times is what goes on in the heart.
Cause success begins in the heart. Failure too.
It's a matter of what you think about... what you entertain in your heart most of the time.
When you give room to thoughts of failure, then failure is evitable...
However, today as a new week begins,
Choose to entertain only thoughts of success.
Cause as you think in your heart, so are you.

Freedom!
The freedom to choose a path for yourself is an amazing gift.
I've chosen to go into digital marketing, and the internet has been so helpful by making available avenues to learn the skill of digital marketing right from the comfort of my home.
I'm currently on the journey to earn a certificate in digital marketing through the platform of HubSpot Academy.
So, far the journey is amazing.
Today, among other things, I've learned the steps I should take to implement a digital marketing strategy.
Thank you Jorie Munroe.
I have an exam to write tomorrow.
It's HubSpot's Certification Examination on Inbound Sales.
I am business oriented, and I know that besides good management, the one thing that keeps a business running is Sales.
So, I am big on sales. No sales no business.
So, for the past few weeks I've been taking classes on Inbound Sales on HubSpot, and tomorrow is my final examination.
I know I am going to make a great score at one sitting cause I have a smart brain 🧠.
I just wanted to share with you what I've been up to lately.
As a kids whenever our mom returned from work, market or anywhere we used to run out and sing "mummy o yo-yo mummy o yo-yo" in excitement to welcome her to the house. We did the same thing for our dad too.
You must have had a similar experience as a kid.
Over the years we've outgrown that habit, until I heard a little girl sing the same welcome song to her mom this morning.
Back in those years, I cannot remember vividly when we sat down in a class in school, church or anywhere and we were taught that song.
So, I wonder how it has been passed down from generation to generation. I think it comes naturally.
It's just the way kids respond to their parents when they return home.
But how do you respond to problems?
When you are faced with disappointments, when things don't work out as you expected, when the people you had hoped 🙏 on don't respond like you want them to...
How do you respond?
When you've tried all you could, yet it seems all hell is set loose on you.... How do you respond?
There is need to take this to heart cause it doesn't really matter what happens to you, it's how you respond that makes the difference.
You could conclude that things are not going to work out fine, you could conclude that you're a failure...or you could show some gratitude!
Often times, things may not go in our direction immediately, but showing gratitude will give the energy, and focus to keep pushing and never give up.
Learn to show gratitude in every situation.
In all things let's give thanks.

"I am not rich because I come from a poor background"
"I didn't attend a university cause no one was willing to sponsor"
"I don't have a better life because no one is willing to support me"
You can go on and on and give all the excuses you want...
But listen,
No one and I mean no one owes you anything.
Not your friends, not your uncles, your aunts, not the universe and not even your parents.
Yes, even your parents owe you nothing.
You are... you alone are totally responsible for the kind of life you want to live. You want a great life, it's your responsibility, you want a normal life it's entirely your responsibility.
You want to be rich and famous, you owe it to yourself.
Nobody owes you any damn thing.
Love and celebrate the people that are supporting you. Be excited about their assistance. Show appreciation.
But throw the entitlement mindset out of the window cause nobody owes you a dime.
Be responsible for your life, and choose your path.
You may not like this post... But like and share it.

1 + 1 = 2
Success is a result just as failure is.
None of them happens by luck.
If you believe you can be successful, you think thoughts of success, and you take successful actions, you will be successful.
That is,
Successful beliefs + Successful thoughts + Successful actions = Success.
The opposite is the case for failure.
I believe you get my point?
I used to be very shy as a kid. I still remember when I peed into my school uniform in nursery school cause I couldn't walk up to my teacher to tell her I was pressed. I think that happened twice.
It was a terrible experience. These days when that incidence comes to mind, I just laugh over it.
But that's not what I wanted to talk about.
If you have seen any of James Bond's movies (and I believe you have), besides the action, the fights, the way he drives cars and all of that... there is one domineering character he likes to pose.
It's the character of "Confidence". He is always confident in himself, and all of his moves, he always believes he can take on anything and anyone.
That's the same thing you can apply in your own life today.
You can set massive goals, and achieve them. It doesn't matter your age, your financial status, or your background, if you are confident enough, you can take on anything.
I didn't like physics... in fact, I hated it. But I made up my mind to make first class in University. The school, Akwa Ibom State University gave me physics to study, as against Computer Science that I applied for, but my mind was made... I went in and I made a CGPA of almost 5.00. That's confidence.
I didn't know anyone in Port Harcourt, but I made up my mind that after national service I was going to be based in Port Harcourt. Currently, I am writing this post from my apartment in Port Harcourt, and I will be heading out to work in a few minutes.
I have a number of other goals I have set for myself, and I know I will achieve all of them because my confidence is high.
You can do same in your own life.
Set goals that are bigger than you, find a path that will lead you to those goals, and head in that direction with boldness and blaring confidence. You will have obstacles, but you will only be amazed at how things will work out for you.
I wish you a great week ahead.
My name is Abas Udoh
Two weeks ago, one of my colleagues lost something dear to him, and lately he has been fond of reciting this quote "the love you give will always get back to you..."
And whenever he recites those lines, he's always so excited like one that has not won a lottery or a million dollars.
He's complete, happy, and very excited. You will almost wonder where the excitement is coming from.
You see, it doesn't matter what happens to you. What matters most is what you make out of what has happened to you... how you deal with it. How you react.
Often times we have very sad experiences... things that will make you feel down and behind. Some things will happen, and will push you 10 steps behind in life.
But what do you make out of them?
You could choose to be pained and completely withdrawn in those moments. You could decide to throw the blame around.
You could even decide to herald the regret, and the guilt of whatever has happened.
Or you could choose to recover quickly, and get happy like nothing has happened. You may choose to take your mind off what has happened, and focus staying happy.
You may say, this is not easy most especially when you have lost something or somebody very dear to you.
But you must know that your true happiness can only come from within you. Your happiness must never come from people or the things you posses. This could be so fleeting.
You must make your happiness your responsibility, so when life throws lemons 🍋 at you, you can most definitely make lemonades out of them.
My name is Abas Udoh.
You can send a direct message if you want to talk.
While still serving as a corps member in Port Harcourt, River State last year, I decided that I was going to start back in Port Harcourt after national service cause I'm of the opinion that as a young graduate, you should seek to be independent after national service especially if you're a male. That's my opinion though.
So, for everyone that asked me what my plan was, I always told them I'd stay back in PH.
I didn't really know how that was going to work out, but it was what I wanted, and I was going to get it.
At first, my parents were not in support of it. So, this was entirely my responsibility to make it happen or not.
Seven months after completing national service, I got a job, and I am living in my own apartment in Port Harcourt.
You see you can achieve any goal... small or great.
It may not happen immediately, it may not happen as you want it... But it will definitely come through if you hold on.
It may be daunting it first, it may even be taking longer than you anticipated, but if you can just hold on and keep pushing, you'll most definitely get what you want.
You could set one major goal for the rest of this year, and see what you can do beginning from today to achieve it.
Have a great day ahead.

Since it's a new month, last night I made a list of things I want to accomplish this month, and I came up with only 5 things.
Yes, just 5. I know 5 is small.
But over the years I have learned that less is more.
And on my to do list for today, I have already started working on one of those things.
But come to think of it... making a list of 10 to 15 things that can get you overwhelmed, and you never get to accomplish them, or a list of only 3 or 5 things that you can accomplish within record time. Which one is better?
You see, that is one of the reasons some people go month after month without achieving success in any project.
But it'a not supposed to be so.
Maybe you are one of such persons, this is what you MUST do now...
Grab a note and pen now. In the next 25 — 30 minutes, write down only 3 important things you must accomplish before the end of this month.
Write them down... By 8pm today, in another post, I tell you what to do with that list.
(If you don't want to miss out on that post, comment 8pm, and I will tag you when the post comes up by 8pm this evening.)
I've been lazy lately, and losing out on my level of discipline. So, I picked up this book, and I've learned a lot in the past two days.
Discipline doesn't happen in a moment. It's a life long process.
At my devotion today, I read the book of Joshua chapter 17 verse 16 to 18. The children of Joseph complained to Joshua that the hill they occupied was too small for them, and they could not drive out their enemies because their enemies had iron chariots and were too strong for them.
But Joshua told them "you are a strong people, and you have great power. You will not only occupy a small plot. You will chase out your enemies, even though they are strong, and you will occupy their mountain".
It's a new month, it does not matter what the previous months have been like. You can still beat your opposition, and achieve your goals this year.
Have the right mindset, and don't deal with a slack hand.
Happy new month!
Nigerians don't read a lot. So, if you want to write for Nigerians, go straight to the point.
Everyone...
I mean every single one of us has a turning point moment in our lives.
This is one thing that is common to all.
But one little sad 😩 problem persists...
Not every one of us is always ready for that moment.
And that's not anyone's fault because that moment doesn't always announce itself before showing up... We cannot control it.
But what we do control is our preparation for that moment.
So, you should be concerned... How prepared are you for your next level?
If your life changing moment should happen now... Do you have what it takes to take it and turn things around for yourself?
You should really think about this... Cause one of these days what you've been dreaming, hoping and praying for may just show up.
If you need to get that CV ready, please do?
If there's a skill you should hone, please do?
If there's a relationship you should strengthen, please do?
If there you need a change of mindset, please work on it?
Whatever you must do now to get yourself ready... Go on with it immediately.
Cause the kind of life you're looking for is also looking for you too, but it turns out you're not ready for it just yet.
So, friend do some soul-searching, and take some real personal actions
This is critical. It's a matter of destiny.

So, as long as you're awake this morning it means God ain't through with you yet.
That's why you have to watch out and keep hoping. It's possible that the events of life have taken turns on you, and you are probably not strong enough to believe but you just have to keep hoping.
Cause now, faith is the substance of things hoped for...
So you have to strive to keep hope alive...
You just have to hope that God is going to work out something for you.
Hope that everything will turn around for good real soon.
Hope that today is going to be brighter and better...
Hope that your best days are going to happen real soon
And this is very important cause whether you've eaten or not...
Whether you have money in your pocket or not... the devil has only one mission: to rob you of your destiny.
No, he doesn't want you to have what God has for you. He wants to keep you down, crushed and forgotten... But c'mon you're better than that.
So, friend all you gotta do is keep hoping...
Help is on the way, and your life is several million times better than this.
Have a beautiful day ahead.
Till I write you again, I am

I like to read my the Bible on my phone, so every morning the first thing my hand gets to is my phone...
After my morning devotion, I turn on the data to receive unread messages and updates. And I believe it's same for all of us. But what if that new message, that seemingly friendly message from an unknown number is geared towards scamming you? Or may be the number is familiar...
Or it's a message on Facebook from a friend you're conversant with... But the face and the hand that sent the message are unfriendly. They just want to scam you.
Have you ever been scammed online before? What was the experience like? Do you mind to share?
In this online space...
It is your results that will give you credibility
It is your results that will give your followership
It is your results that will give you a teeming audience
It is your results that will give you money.
Produce more results for yourself and for others.
