THE DISILLUSION HOUR IN MY LAND

In the land of hope and dreams,
Nigeria they call it,
A nation once filled with promise, now shrouded in disillusion.

Oh Nigeria, how you’ve fallen from grace,
From the dreams of independence to a broken embrace.
Corruption and greed, the rulers’ creed,
Leaving the people in despair, their hopes recede.

The oil-rich land, a curse in disguise,
As the wealth flows into the hands of the few,
The people cries.
Infrastructure crumbling, poverty rising,
While the leaders live in opulence, their pockets fattening.

Injustice prevails,
The rule of law a myth,
As the powerful evade consequences,
Their sins they shift.
The masses suffer, their voices silenced,
As the government turns a blind eye, their pleas dismissed.

Ethnic tensions simmer, tearing the nation apart,
Divided by tribes, tearing at the heart.
Religion used as a weapon, to stoke the flames,
While unity and peace become distant aims.

Education neglected, minds left unenlightened,
As the youth struggle, their potential tightened.
Unemployment rampant, dreams left unfulfilled,
As the future remains uncertain, hope slowly killed.

But amidst the disillusion, a glimmer of light,
The resilience of the people, their spirit shining bright.
The artists, the activists, the everyday heroes,
Fighting for change, refusing to be zeroes.

Nigeria, my beloved, I weep for your plight,
But I still hold on to the flicker of hope, burning bright.
For in the hearts of the people, the power lies,
To rise above disillusion, to reclaim the skies.

Let us unite, hand in hand,
To rebuild our nation,
To make a stand.
To break the chains of disillusion,
To forge a new way,For Nigeria, our home,
Let hope lead the way.

On the Right Path to World War’s Dread

As twilight falls upon this troubled land,Where shadows lengthen, whispers fill the air,I tremble, gripped by fear’s relentless hand,For World War’s specter looms, a nightmare’s snare.

Oh, my Chi, lend me thy mournful lyre,That I may sing of woe and tragic plight,Of nations torn asunder by fire,And souls consumed by darkness and by blight.

In distant lands(Russia, Ukrain, Niger), the drums of war resound,As leaders dance with power, blind and deaf,Their thirst for dominance, a deadly mound,That threatens to unleash a storm of death.

The cannons roar, the bombs rain from the sky,And innocence is lost amidst the fray,As mothers weep, and children ask not why,Their futures stolen in this dire ballet.

Oh, Nature’s beauty, once so pure and bright,Now marred by scars of man’s relentless greed,The rivers poisoned, forests set alight,A world in chaos, crying out in need.

Yet, in this darkness, a flicker of hope,A call for peace, a plea to cease the fight,For in our hearts, compassion’s flame may cope,And guide us to a path bathed in love’s light.

Let not the drums of war drown out our pleas,But let compassion’s voice be heard instead,For in unity lies our chance of peace,To turn away from the path of World War’s dread.

Oh, my Chi, I beg thee, lend thy grace,That through this verse, the world may see the way,To mend the wounds, to heal and to embrace,And avert the horrors of that fateful day.

On the right path, let us strive to be,And banish thoughts of war eternally.

Ebonyi state international airport to be ready by May 2022, that is next month.

_His Excellency Governor David Nweze Umahi

Something miraculous and tremendous has happened in Ebonyi State over the past 6,7 years. The people of Nigeria have seen the transformation ongoing, they have seen the exceptional infrastructure development, 23 flyovers in less than 7 years. Nigerians have seen the unparalleled capacity development of Ebonyi people, they have seen security of lives and properties in the state, constant light, investments in education, healthcare and youth empowerment.

They have seen all of these and have asked what's happening? Who is responsible?

They have been clearly told that Umahi is responsible.

The man David Nweze Umahi caught the Goliath of maladministration and defeated it in one swift move in Ebonyi State.

And Nigerians have seen all of these. They're jealous of Ebonyi. They are asking who can do same for Nigeria? We need roads, jobs, electricity, good hospitals, good schools, an end to incessant labour strikes.

Who can help Nigeria?

And many Nigerians have begun to concur.

They have started to see the truth.

They know that Umahi is the answer.
