OSD1 Youth Fellowship The Praying Band C&S Church

The *Love of God* was greatly exposed to us at *Agapé 2021.* We went ahead with the consciousness of the extensive Love of God duly expressed in us.

The year after, God released His dews from above upon us as we celebrated 20 Years of the existence of our Fellowship. We gathered and God poured the *Heavens' Dews* upon us at *Iri Orun 2022.*

Now! God has beckoned on us to come up hither to meet him at His holy place.

In 2023, we are marching upwards unto *ZION; The Beautiful City of God;* where we will obtain *THE EVERLASTING JOY!*

It's not too early to start planning and praying for this great encounter God has promised.

GROWING IN CHRIST - Ephesians 4:13-15
According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, when we first acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we become a new creature: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (KJV)
As a new born, our desire for nourishment becomes fervent and frequent. An infant’s piercing cries display a hunger that must be immediately satisfied. As Christians, we also should desire God’s Word so that we may grow up.
According to Joshua's account
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8 KJV)

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2 KJV)
In growing, we learn that nothing is more agreeable to our soul and spirit than Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life. As we profess Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Saviour, we must take Him into every relationship and in every capacity in which we act, including our appetite for Him.
Remember we cannot produce the God’s kind of fruit without the life of God within us - The Holy Spirit. "The Holy Spirit was not given to us to speak in tongues or see vision only but to increase our knowledge of Christ, our love for Him, and in obedience to Him"
Growing in Christ reveals a maturity of a perfectly balanced character in Him. As believers we are the thriving growing body of Christ that is built up “till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” (Ephesians 4:13-15 KJV).
Spiritual growth results from trusting God, especially in times of adversity. A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly with every difficulty you encounter. With each faithful prayer we are drawn closer to the Source of spiritual joy and peace.
God wants to empower you through the Holy Spirit to live a Christ-directed life. Trusting him will bring an experience of a deepening fellowship with God enabling you to grow in Christian maturity.
