*Noiler Production*

Noilers are cross breeds of broiler and rooster,

The objective of the breeding is to obtain a fast growing meat bird and medium egg producing bird just in one breed (2 in 1).

Noilers are very strong breed of chicken, very rugged and eat alot like broilers.

It takes 3-4 months for Noilers to reach market weight of about 2.6kg for the males and 2.2kg for the females but If you rear them using special concentrates like KBC, Hendrix etc, at 12 weeks, you have your table-sized birds

The females will start laying from 18-20 weeks with an average of about 200eggs or more per year (though with a small-sized egg in the first week) compared with commercial layers of 260-300eggs or more.

Noilers have higher resistance to disease than our conventional layers and broilers.
They perform considerably well on free range and less quality feeds and even on traditional kitchen waste and agro industrial wastes.

They are beautiful multi-coloured birds and you can never believe the scenery of your poultry farm until they are about 3weeks upwards.
They love sunbathing and are very active birds.
They also would start flying up and down around the second week.

Noilers generally are terrible mothers; the females don't brood their eggs except for those that roam about so if you want to hatch then you need an incubator.🤓

Both appear to look alike at day old
At 5-6wks, the comb or crown tend to be more pronounced, larger and red, in the males. They normally come in a ratio of 50:50, 60:40, 65:35 etc in a carton.

NOiler eat whatever you have in your menu including human beings (smiles)

Something you must not fail to understand is this; Noilers are extremely susceptible to coccidiosis so you have to handle them with care
Your litter management has to be on point and top notch. Most farmers always complain of coccidiosis. I didn't lose birds to coccidiosis because I know how to manage it real well.
Remember it is not all about coccidiosis treatment, it starts with you, your pen management as well as your litter management.
