Deuteronomy 7:22; 1 Peter 5:10; Romans 8:1; Psalm 42:5.

Is your progress seems slow? Don't be discouraged. Keep your heart with all diligence. You become what you think most of the time. Choose right thoughts and reject wrong ones, you will have victory over the devil.

Do you have set back or bad days? Just get back up, dust yourself off and start again. Don't allow the devil to stop you through discouragement and condemnation of any kind.

One of the ways the devil robbed the people of God is condemnation. Overcome condemnation by reminding Satan and yourself that you do not walk after the flesh but after the spirit. To walk after the spirit is to depend on God. To walk after the flesh is to depend on yourself. Allow the peace of God to coordinate your soul spirit and body.

No one can enjoy lasting peace who has not successfully and triumphantly dealt with the devil by Jesus blood and the Word of God.

Discouragement destroys hope and without hope you will give up. Give no place to the devil for discouragement. He wants you to give up.

Rather, believe the report of the Lord. God wants you to be encouraged. He constantly and repeatedly admonishing us never to be discouraged or dismayed. Don't get discouraged.

Wait on God to do the things you cannot do on your own strength. He takes pleasure in showing Himself strong and mighty on behalf of those who trust Him to help them. He will rise to help you do things you cannot do on your own strength.

That you fail in that endeavour does not make you a failure, it simply means you don't do everything right. Make Christ your strengths. He will ensure your success.

Don't entertain condemnation, your total victory will come, it will take time, it will come little by little. It may come in a way you least expected. Dont get discouraged Everything great starts small. A little drop of water makes an ocean. God's time is the best. His timing is perfect. He is never late. Be patient with yourself. Let patience have its entire work.

DARE TO DREAM.

It is not a crime to dream. It is right to dream. To dream is divine. You dreamt of a better tomorrow? You dreamt of your own home where God is worshipped and glorified? You dreamt of being mightily used of God? You dreamt of world evangelization? You dreamt of becoming the head of a Nation, University, or business organization? You dreamt of owing your business? Excellent.

Dreams do come true. God planted them there. He wired you from heaven with a special skill, talent, or gifting to fit into the mould cast for you before the foundation of the world. He is the original owner of your dream. He sold the dream to your parents, hence your conception. He put the dream in you, hence, your purpose. Dream and fulfill the dream God planted in you.

If you don't dream you are not living the purpose. If you stop dreaming, you will start dying. You have everything to gain and nothing to loose when you dream. The opposite is equally true when you don't dream.

God is expecting you to dream. That which you did not dream of will never come to pass. The events of your life gravitates towards the fulfillment of the object of your dream.

Look up to God to give you His dream for your life. He is the original owner of your dream. God will only acts on your dream not on your fantasies. If you have forgotten your life's dream, go back to God. He will reveal it to you. Jeremiah 33:3.

The dream of Joseph came to pass. Your dream will come to pass too. Joseph got his dream from God. He stood his ground in God and got hold of God until his dream came to pass.

The creations are earnestly waiting and expecting the manifestations of the sons of God. They are those who are ready to run with the vision God shows them. They are world changers.

The successfuls were once nobody, but they believed in their dreams and in God's ability to see them through. They pursue on their dreams and they endured all the hardships and arrive where they are today.

Bare all the odds and move on with your dreams. There will be obstacles, hurdles, bends and detours along your dream path. Don't be deterred, with God on your side you will scale through all of them and land in your own palace of fulfillment, just like Joseph did. The vision is for an appointed time, wait for it, though it tarries, it will surely come to pass.

WHAT I HAVE - JESUS
ACTS 3:6-8

There is something that is more important than gold and silver, much more important than money, houses, cars, more important than any valuable things of this life you can ever think of. That thing is the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is higher than every other names. Through the name of Jesus, everything: both visible and invisible, known and known, physical/material and spiritual was created. There is nothing created that was not created by this name. Everything owes its existence to this name.

Some people say, I have gold and silver. I have, money. Other say, I have a large expanse of land and, well connected etc. But "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."

Apostle Peter knew quite very well that the spiritual controls the physical and that unseen things are more important than what we see. The substance is much more important than the shadow. Jesus is the real substance every other thing else is but a shadow.

Although the lame man was expecting either silver or gold, (the modern day's dollar and pounds sterling). Apostle Peter knew better. He knew that the lameman needs Jesus. He gave him Jesus.
Jesus came to set the captive free. Whatever the Son of God has set free shall be free indeed.

The best gift you can give to anybody in this world is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Living God.

Acts 3:7:

"And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength."

The world today is lame at its feet and is in dire needs of the likes of apostle Peter who will hold it by the right hand, lift it up to its his feet for its ankle bones to garner strength.

Acts 3:8:

"And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God."

The lame, the blind, the deaf, the dumb, the cripple, the spiritually sick, the prisoners, the oppressed, the exploited etc., all want to be released to their destinies. They also want to praise God and fulfill their divine purposes.

They are waiting for you and I to give them Jesus. Let us sit up and get busy with the business of giving Jesus to people. He Jesus Christ still remains the answer the world needs today.

Let those who have silver and gold (money/materials) give it that Jesus Christ might be preached and that the work might be done. Silver and gold are means to an end, never an end itself.
Let those who have Jesus Christ freely give Him to the world without string or attachment added.

What do you have? As for me, I have Jesus and like apostle Peter said in the above Bible text, "Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have, give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."

Yes, I mean it. It is you I am talking to, rise up and walk! Why sit ye in sin, dust yourself from the dirt of sin and adorn yourself with the righteousness of God which is in Christ Jesus.

Jesus is all you need for your joy to be full. You can not get it from anywhere what Jesus could not give you. Stop chasing shadow, go for the substance. Wise men seek for Jesus!

Repent from your sins, confess and forsake them. Invite Jesus into your life to be your Lord and personal Saviour. He will not refuse you. Get yourself a copy of the Bible. Study it. Believe it and do it.

Attend Church services where you will be nourished with the Word of God for your spiritual growth and edification.

Do not postpone your salvation, tomorrow may be too late. Delay it's dangerous. And remember, Jesus is coming very soon!

ON ATTITUDE:

Attitude is our reaction to things and events that happens around us. Someone said and I quote,

"We cannot choose how many years we will live, but we can choose how much life those years will have. We cannot control the beauty of our face, but we can control the expression of it. We cannot control life's difficult moments, but we can choose to make life less difficult. We cannot control the negative atmosphere of the world but we can control the atmosphere of our mind. Too often, we try to choose and control things we cannot. Too seldom, we chose and control what we can - our attitude."

WHY DO MEN PRAY AND NOT RECEIVE ANSWER TO THEIR PRAYERS?

Probably you have prayed, some of your prayers were answered and some weren't, you added fasting and you seem perturbed, do not despair, go through the following possible causes, and see the reasons why it may be so.

However, the factors are by no means exhaustive.

1. TALKATIVENESS:

Too much talk rather than taking action hinders answer to prayers. Action speaks louder than voice. God expects us to take prompt action after our prayers. He will always give instruction on what to do next. John 2:5 - "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it." Get up and get going!

2. LUST

If God sees that your motive for desiring is to consume the things you're asking for to satisfy your lusts, He will not grant it. Lust and lost sound alike. Most of the time what we asked for was what we want instead of what we need. God can only supply your needs and not your wants.

3. NOT ASKING.

If you don't ask you will not receive. Matthew 7:8a. 'For every one that asketh receiveth.' Dream does not come true to those who do not dream.

4. ASKING AMISS.

If you ask wrongly, you will not receive. James 4:3. 'Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.'

5. SELFISHNESS.

God loves a cheerful giver. God gives liberally. If your motive is to lavish whatever you're asking for on yourself, it is unlikely that you'll receive.

6. WORLDLINESS/FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD.

The Bible talks about the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and pride of life. Lust will pitch you against God because friendship with the world is enmity against God. God will not want to multiply His enemies.

7. PRIDE.

God resists the proud. He will not answer the proud. The proud will not even pray, it takes humility to pray. Prayer is begging. A proud person cannot beg. He is also unthankful. He cannot thank God even when God does it because he did not believe that God did it.

8. LACK OF SUBMISSION TO GOD.

Seeking the will of God in whatever we are asking for is our submission to Him. If you are not prepared to accept what God wants to give you but insisting on having your way, it will hinder the answer to your prayers. God answers according to His own will and purpose. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ exemplified this principle at the garden when He submitted to the will of His Father, God, by dying for us on the cross.

9. SPEAKING EVIL OF OTHERS:

Speaking evil of others turns the person speaking to a judge, usurping the authority that belongs to God. The Ultimate Judge. It hinders prayer.
James 4:11. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

10. PLANNING THAT LEAVES GOD OUT OF EQUATION.

This sounds like submission earlier discussed. Hanna, the mother of Prophet Samuel had God's purpose in her mind when she was making request for Samuel, she lent him to the Lord for Eli's replacement as prophet of God.
James 3:13. Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

11. KNOWING WHAT GOOD WANTS AND REFUSING TO DO IT.

If God sees that you have a knack for disobeying Him, He might not answer.
James 3:17:
"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

12. UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

God will not answer the prayer of sinners except his prayer for mercy. However, He will answer the prayers of the righteous, His ear is always attentive to their cries. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:6.

13. IMPATIENCE.

It is not only wealth that grows on the tree of patience, prayer also thrives on patience. You don't reap crop in the day it is planted. There are some prayers that would take long before it is answered. Your patience will be tried. James 3:7 & ,8.
'Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.'

14. HOLDING GRUDGES AGAINST OTHERS.

15. INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

16. INCONSISTENT LIVING.

17. PRAYERLESSNESS.

18. NON CONFESSION OR COVERING OF ONE'S SIN.

19. NOT PRAYING THE PRAYER OF FAITH.

20. NOT TREATING ONE' SPOUSE WELL.

21. UNFORGIVENESS.

When you base your prayers on the will of God to be done on earth and for His Kingdom to be established according to His revealed will in the Bible, your prayer will not be hindered any longer.

However, don't forget that God will only supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Are you in Christ Jesus? If not, come to Him today. Confess your helplessness without Him to him and ask Him to come in and be your personal Lord and Saviour. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is God's greatest gift to you.

If you are already in Him, congratulations! Remain steadfast, unmovable, always abound in the works of the Lord, earnestly expect His returns. He will reward your labour of love which you have done in Him. Remain rapturable!

GOD STILL ANSWER PRAYERS

TEXT: MARK 11:24.

"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.'

The verse is full of action words such as 'desire', 'pray', 'believe', 'receive' and 'have.'



DESIRE:

God promises never to disappoint the desire of the righteous. "The expectations of the righteous shall be not be cut short."

PRAY:

However, the desire remains desire until the object of the desire is brought in prayer before God. The command is, "Ask, it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Mathew 7:7. God is still in the business of answering prayer. But you must ask.

FAITH:

Your object of desire must be presented to God in faith. Without faith, nothing will drop from God. You need faith both to believe and to receive what you desire. John 14:1; Hebrews 11:6.

Believe that God exists.

Believe that God is able to grant your requests.

Believe that God will not refuse you.

Believe that God rewards hard work, because prayer is hard-work.

RECEIVE

You must also have faith to receive. You can pray and not receive if you don't have faith to receive. Be unto you according to your faith. Except on few occasions, in his earthly ministry, Jesus healed based on the FAITH of the recipient.

HAVE

Many pray but they don't have. Why? Because they pray without faith to receive what they ask. They have alternatives. Some only succeeded in lodging complaints before God. Complaint cannot buy anything in the supermarket of heaven, faith is the legal tender. Pray to receive and to have that which you desired.

Right from the day Adam blamed God for giving him a wife he (Adam) did not ask Him for. God made it a principle never to give anything to any man except on request.

What do you desire to have? Go to God in prayer. Pray in faith. Believe God can do it. Believe you can receive it and you will have it.

However, God is talking to His children here. Are you a child of God? Are you born again? If you have not, then the first step is to become His child. John 1:12.

You need to give your life to God by confessing Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Believe Him in your heart that He came to die for your sin and save you from wrath to come. Matthew 1:21.

THE MEANING OF DENY SELF

BIBLE READING: LUKE 9:23.

" _And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me"._

MESSAGE:

We are going to look at some words for deny: forget, renounce, ignore, disown, leave self behind, give up the things you want, put aside his desire, give up all right to himself, refuse e.t.c.



So what does it means to deny himself:

-To put aside your feelings

-To take no cognisance of your worth

-To loose one's will

-To release the right you have by yourself

-Not to remember whom you used to be

-To joyfully consent when your personal dignity is been revoked for Jesus sake

-To disown authority of a lower nature

-To leave flesh far behind

-To be considered mad in the world system

-To disassociate oneself from self

-To overlook and refuse to acknowledge self

-For someone to violate what is legitimately is yours and you joyfully concede it as it's his right to do that to you

-To give up your right of occupancy



It is a great risk to do any transaction with Mr flesh, you will get to a point where you will see nothing good in the flesh as want to defend it. Self can never crucify himself finish, there will always be a part that remain to disqualify you from going anywhere, self doesn't operate by quantity. If you give up all right of occupancy to yourself to God, you are saying it is enough, from now on Your wish is my command, I have no right to myself again.

If you are thinking that nobody can make this type of condition, but with God it is possible and God will still get those that will follow Him in this way while you are still arguing that nobody can do it. When God has gotten those that will be following Him in this footstep you will be surprise. Self that we have been dealing with can become a major hindrance for following Jesus.

Self is the only reason why you are not like Jesus. Sometimes self will be ashamed to be itself, it enjoys hiding. Put both good and bad self aside and leave yourself to whatsoever God does to you.
The basic hindrance unto spirituality is self and Jesus asked us to deny it. Self can never kill itself but Someone is going to do it for us, but we must be ready to renounce self, to give it up, to say to Jesus today whatever You want to do to this man -self take him.

Lifted in John 12:32 and John 3:14 have the same root. All that have been said in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the things man must do for God to take over.
The man that is not willing to deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow Jesus, God cannot take up from his hand to give him victory over mr flesh. If God did not do something to Mr flesh, even if you ignore him and refuse to talk, it will pull you to talk.

God is going to do something in our lives for us to put up the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the window we are opening that will turn our lives around and be the image of Jesus and that man that has hindered us over the years might become a forgotten issue.



For God to take over from a man, he must be ready to fulfill the conditions. Jesus said if any man want to follow Him, let him give up all right to himself, let him deny himself, let him release himself, take up his cross daily and follow Him, three components.

The call now is who among us is ready to be a follower of Jesus, if you have agreed, are you ready to renounce self, give up all right to yourself so that whatever Jesus do to your life you will not query Him. If you have understood this message, agreed to the conditions and sincerely speaking, not that you want to be religious, let me remind you that this message is not meant to be popularly accepted, if it were popularly accepted many of His disciplines that turned back because of His message would not have turned back.

Jesus does not need quantity to do His work, He needs quality no matter how small they are. If you decide to go back because of what it entails to follow Jesus, He will not run after you.

The call today is specific, are you ready to be His true discipline, it doesn't matter what others claim to be or hearing, or they are Christians but are not following the pattern of Jesus, I don't care I have chosen the way of Calvary.

Hand over Mr flesh and tell God what I used to call myself I give it up today, even though I don't know how to sustain it yet I will follow You. Many may say I will follow Jesus when I have my first and second degrees, some sisters may say I want to give up the whole world but allow me to marry first after my wedding when I have done it the way the world does it, then I will become serious discipline. I want you to ask yourself did I actually want to embrace this matter Jesus spoke again and again about.

Peter told Jesus we have left all nowhere to go again. Ruth told Naomi, don't persuade me to return back, I will go with you even if I die. Don't be religious, Jesus is asking, will you also go away or follow me?.

Give up all right to yourself and allow Jesus to deal with it anyhow, don't have share in self again, live only to please Jesus. Be emptied of self for Christ to take over. Take decision not because of others but because you have seen the light. You are going to lose your identity in life, your way of dressing, your pursuit, ambition yield it and let it go. Make up your mind today, hand over yourself unto Jesus Christ, it may be drastic and rudeness when you stand to the call to give up yourself. Forsake all for the sake of knowing Christ, you have to come to a point where you will say no to yourself, personal instinct and comfort.

MEDITATION ON PSALM 1:1-3

THE TEXT: Psalm 1:1-3:

1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

CONDITIONS TO BEING TRULY BLESSED:

If you want to be truly blessed -

Do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly.

Do not stay in the way of sinners.

Do not sit in the seat of the scornful.

Rather, make the law of the LORD your delight.

Meditate on the law of the LORD day and night.

When you do, then, you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.

CONFESSION:

I want to be truly blessed. I refuse to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. I will not follow in the path of sinners, neither will I sit in the seat of the scornful. I will rather make the law of the LORD my delight, and meditate on His law day and night. By so doing, I will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, and bring forth fruit in season; my leaf will not wither and I will prosper in that which I lay my hands upon. So help me God. LET'S PRAY,

Dear Holy Spirit, I want to be truly blessed. Please help me never to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. Lead me away from the path of sinners, and never permit me to sit in the seat of the scornful. Lead me to delight myself in the law of the LORD my God and make meditation on His law my major preoccupation day and night. Holy Spirit make me fruitful like a tree planted by the rivers of water which brings forth fruit in its season and its leaf never wither. Thank you Holy Spirit. Psalm 1:1-3.

TEXT: PSALM 139.

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Verse 14.

You're uniquely designed for a specific purpose. Appreciate the gifts and abilities placed within you by God. Knowing and loving who you are gives you the ability to live freely.

DISCOVER AND DEVELOP THE THINGS YOU ARE GOOD AT

Take time to discover and develop the things you are good at and interested in. It will help you to nurture and cultivate your abilities.

YOU ARE DIVINELY EMPOWERED TO SUCCEED

Visualize yourself as unique individual empowered by God to succeed in every area of your life.

ACKNOWLEDGE GOD AS YOUR SOURCE

Acknowledge God as the source of your strength; AND

Believe you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
