Necessity for HUMILITY

I watched a YouTube video this morning that inspired this message. It was a detailed video of the life and ministry of a woman of God whom I have ended up watching it with prayer for her soul. What happened to her can happen to anybody. (I am not going to mention her name because that is not what matters).

The Psalmist said in Psalm 60:12 KJV "THROUGH GOD WE SHALL DO VALIANTLY: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies."

The emphasis of this ☝🏿verse is "THROUGH GOD." There are a lot of things that we can accomplish in life through personal efforts and divine assistance. So it is very important that we continually give all the glory and praise to God Almighty and not accept people's praises and adoration...

You could have achieved what some called GAMBIT in any field of good endeavours, learn and be humble enough to give God the glory. You may have exhibited a lot of skills in achieving some good and great things in this life. Give God the glory!

The Scriptures says:

Acts 19:11 KJV
11 AND GOD WROUGHT SPECIAL MIRACLES by the hands of Paul...

GOD USED PAUL, not the other way around. Paul was just the vessel. The Lord Jesus rode on a donkey into Jerusalem while people were praising Him. But it would've been strange if the donkey thought the praises were for him and so began to flaunt himself all over the places because the Saviour rode on him.

Learn humility and God will support you. I am not getting into details of what the woman of God did which has landed her into 50 years imprisonment. But what I don't know is the point at which pride got into her.

She began well. She did well UNTILL ...

1 Peter 5:5-6 KJV
5 ... GOD RESISTETH THE PROUD, and GIVETH GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.
6 HUMBLE YOURSELVES therefore under the mighty hand

Humility requires your decision, not GOD'S! You have to humble yourself at all times and maintain humility and God will exalt you in due time.

The RANSOM!

The word "RANSOM" means "payment for the release of someone; the act of freeing from captivity or punishment." Does this sound familiar? It does! It happens all over the world!

Many people have experienced moments of been held as hostages and captives to some wicked people – very fearful and frightening situations!

Some people have found freedom after demanded ransoms are paid and some others have suffered death at the hands of their very wicked abductors who received the ransoms and yet killed their captives. Very wicked activity!

What Adam and Eve did in the garden of Eden plunged all of humanity into deep trouble and darkness when they ate from that actual tree of the knowledge of good and evil that Satan tempted them with... They (we) lost our with God and became bound under satanic authority.

The Word of God says:

Romans 5:16-18 KJV
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was BY ONE to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if BY ONE MAN'S OFFENCE death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness SHALL REIGN IN LIFE BY ONE, JESUS CHRIST.)
18 Therefore as by THE OFFENCE OF ONE judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so BY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF ONE the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Understand this that Adam is held responsible for the sinful act that included his wife. He was the primary receiver of God's commandment. Obviously he told his wife, but untill he ate his portion of the fruit nothing happened to the two of them:

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and GAVE ALSO UNTO HER HUSBAND WITH HER; and he did eat.

This act ☝🏿 throw the whole of mankind into bad trouble. But thanks be to God that Jesus paid the ransom for all of our lives with HIS BLOOD on the cross at Calvary!

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

24 Who HIS OWN SELF BARE OUR SINS in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

To enjoy the benefit of the ransom Jesus paid with His blood for all our sins, accept Him right now with all of your heart! People will only escape going to hell by repenting from sin and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

Just say this: Jesus I repent from sin and accept you into my heart now. Thank YOU!

Unknown tongues Part 12

1 Corinthians 14:4 KJV
4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue EDIFIETH HIMSELF...

There are a lot of great benefits available for all Holy Ghost baptized believers in Christ Jesus other than the ability to instantly supernaturally speak and pray in a new tongue without schooling in any language school of linguistics!

This phrase "EDIFIETH HIMSELF" is very significant in that it carries deep insights. The very activity of speaking and praying in other tongues supernaturally equips divine knowledge and enhancements that has only limited to how much time to it. Your human is actively alive spiritually when you speak and pray in tongues!

As part of mine supernatural encounters in this regard, I have experienced impartation of divine ideas that works for me in life and ministry!

We have a very great example of someone like the Apostle Paul who wrote most of the Epistles of the New Testament – ⅔! At one time in his Christian life he was able to pray in tongues far more than all believers in Corinth!

18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all...

Revelation knowledge of the Word came to him through these benefits from the Holy Ghost! I encourage you to give adequate attention to this wonderful benefit and you will have abundant testimonies to the glory of God!

The Anointing & the Mantle

9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, ASK WHAT I SHALL DO FOR THEE, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, LET A DOUBLE PORTION OF THY SPIRIT be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, IF THOU SEE ME WHEN I AM TAKEN FROM THEE, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and ELIJAH WENT UP BY A WHIRLWIND into heaven.
12 AND ELISHA SAW IT, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
13 He took up also THE MANTLE OF ELIJAH THAT FELL FROM HIM, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took THE MANTLE OF ELIJAH that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

I want you to note that both Elisha and the sons of the prophets were not enthralled by the mantle that fell from Elijah. No, they weren't! Their attention were caught with the fact that Elisha caught the anointing that was upon Elijah, which Elisha desired to have!

What Elisha asked for was, "LET A DOUBLE PORTION OF THY SPIRIT BE UPON ME" and that's what he got by keeping his eyes focussed on his master, Elijah. The mantle was a piece of clothing that Elijah had on and used to smack and crossed Jordan (2 Kings 2:7-8).

It's obvious that up till the time of their parting, they never had this☝🏿 discussion, not even once with all the cordiality that they had.

Moses had his rod with which he performed signs and wonders in Egypt. But the anointing was upon him and not on the rod. Notice that the anointing on Joshua came through Moses, but Joshua didn't ask for the rod of Moses.

As an anointed fellow I used an Encyclopedia to perform signs and wonders once in the past as I felt led and I've also used several handkerchiefs at different times with the same effects to the glory of God! I even used wooden benches! It is not the physical materials that matters, but the ANOINTING OF GOD upon one!

The Excellent Treasure

My main duty as a minister of the Gospel is to bring God's people into the knowledge of the Holy Ghost and I've been doing this for more than 3 decades now with astonishing results to the glory of God!

Many lives have been impacted by the Holy Ghost as He granted them different mighty encounters!

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 KJV
6 For God, who commanded THE LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS, hath shined in our hearts, to give the LIGHT of the knowledge of THE GLORY OF GOD in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have THIS TREASURE in earthen vessels, that the excellency of THE POWER may be of God, and not of us.

Light stands for enlightenment and the power here in the above ☝🏿verses is referring to the Spirit of God who is the treasure in earthen vessels!

As I was rounding off the Word portion about the Holy Ghost in a church early last year, this song just popped up spontaneously in my heart, "Way maker, miracle worker..." and I didn't know the lyrics much at the time. So I called out members of the choir to lead us in the song. As they did, the Holy Ghost moved powerfully in the Holy Ghost Meeting in Lagos!

One of the ministries of the Holy Ghost is to impart God's children with knowledge through the teaching of the Word. Jesus said in

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Any work of God that has to be accomplished by any human being, must be done or achieved through the power of the Holy Ghost!

6 ...This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Unknown tongues Part 11

There's a deposit of supernatural love (agape: God's kind of love) in every born again child of God, deposited there by the Holy Ghost at the time and moment when he/she got saved (John 3:3; Romans 5:5).

The Holy Ghost baptism enhances this love and powers all spiritual gifts! Again, the Apostle Paul instructs us:

1 Corinthians 14:1 KJV
1 FOLLOW AFTER CHARITY, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy...

What are the traits and characteristics of this love? I will use the Classic Amplified Bible to spell it out:

1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬8 AMPC
4 Love ENDURES LONG and IS PATIENT and KIND; love NEVER IS ENVIOUS nor BOILS OVER WITH JEALOUSY, is NOT BOASTFUL or VAINGLORIOUS, DOES NOT DISPLAY ITSELF HAUGHTILY.

5 It is NOT CONCEITED (ARROGANT AND INFLATED WITH PRIDE); it IS NOT RUDE (UNMANNERLY) and DOES NOT ACT UNBECOMINGLY.

6 Love (God's love in us) DOES NOT INSIST ON ITS OWN RIGHTS or its OWN WAY, for it IS NOT SELF-SEEKING; it IS NOT TOUCHY OR FRETFUL OR RESENTFUL; it TAKES NO ACCOUNT OF THE EVIL DONE to it [it pays no attention to A SUFFERED WRONG]. It DOES NOT REJOICE AT INJUSTICE and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, but rejoices WHEN RIGHT AND TRUTH PREVAIL.

7 Love BEARS UP UNDER ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING that comes, is EVER READY TO BELIEVE THE BEST OF EVERY PERSON, its hopes ARE FADELESS UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, and it ENDURES EVERYTHING [WITHOUT WEAKENING].

8 Love NEVER FAILS [NEVER FADES OUT OR BECOMES OBSOLETE OR COMES TO AN END]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].

Certain traits convicted me right now as I went down the passage telling me that in those regards I haven't been doing enough!

These☝🏿 traits is the love thermometer by which we are to measure and gauge the quality of our love and must be the primary influence of operating all the spiritual gifts that we desire!

His titles

There is only one Person who has certain titles in the Godhead, such as: King of kings, Lord of lords; the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world; the Lion of the tribe of Judah; the Son of God; the only begotten Son; the First begotten from the dead; the Deliverer; the Redeemer; the Saviour; the Healer; Baptizer in the Holy Ghost; the Shepherd; the Almighty God.

He is also the only Member of the Godhead with a physical, human body that the Others does not have.

He is the only One that has the name: Jesus! Christ is His title that indicates that He is anointed by the Heavenly Father (Acts 10:38). The Heavenly Father also calls Him God because that is Who He is supernaturally like the Two Others: the Heavenly Father Himself and the third Person: the Holy Ghost!

Hebrews 1:1-5,8-9 KJV
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Jesus told us, His people NOT TO PRAY TO HIM, BUT TO THE HEAVENLY FATHER:

23 And in that day YE SHALL ASK ME NOTHING". Verily, verily, I say unto you, WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK THE FATHER in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ASK, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE, THAT your joy may be full.

When Jesus said that "in that day YE SHALL ASK ME NOTHING" what day was He speaking about? He was speaking about the days after His ascension when He would have returned go be with His Father who is in heaven.

Steadfast faith Part 8

It is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that we are able to establish a relationship with the Almighty God. There is no other way.

It is by faith, based on the Word of God, that we can live the Kingdom and Christian life effectively.

It is only by faith that we can possibly appropriate all the provisions of God through prayers based on the Word of God.

It is only by faith that our lives will be pleasing to God! Faith in the Word of God is very vital to our very existence and survival in this life!

We can not do without the Word of faith! We can not lead a holy life without faith in the Word of His grace.

Faith and anxiety can not work together at all. But you can deal with anxiety by exercising your faith in the Word of God!

Philippians 4:6 KJV
6 Be CAREFUL FOR NOTHING; but in every thing BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known unto God.

In the mid-90s while I was meditating on this verse of scripture, my mother told me, "Remi, water did not come at night. That meant I have to go and fetch water from the nearby well or stream not far from our house and I didn't want to. I replied by acting on the above verse, "Mummy, don't worry, water will come." As I said that, water spouted out of our pump! We fetch the water from home!

Steadfast faith Part 7

"...faith which worketh by love" (Galatians 5:6). That's exactly right! Faith works by love. This is one of the important elements that causes the prayer of faith to work.

I closed my last post on this☝🏿topic with the quotation of the passage of scripture from:

6 BE CAREFUL FOR NOTHING; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

We are instructed to not be careful about anything, which means, do not fret or have any worries or anxiety about anything! Isn't that wonderful? But why?

There's a slogan that says, "Why worry when you can pray." It came from the above ☝🏿 verses of scripture.

We are not supposed to worry about anything, but pray about everything with THANKSGIVING!

We are a people that have a prayer-answering-God! So we can afford not to worry. We can pray in faith and receive answers to all our prayer requests!

So I'm suggesting to you that you take sometime out to spend it studying upon the 3 verses of Philippians 4:6-8. Don't rush into prayer. Find out the things that you're supposed to do.

Unknown tongues Part 10

Love/charity has easily recognizable traits, and all of us, believers in Jesus Christ, have been commanded to live a life of love:

Matthew 22:37-40 KJV
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

We have no choice but to obey God's commandments because it affects a lot of things in our lives.

Let's examine the different traits that characterizes the love that we are to live by:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 KJV
4 Charity SUFFERETH LONG, and is KIND; charity ENVIETH NOT; charity VAUNTETH NOT ITSELF, is not PUFFED UP,
5 DOTH NOT BEHAVE ITSELF UNSEEMLY, SEEKETH NOT HER OWN, is NOT EASILY PROVOKED, THINKETH NO EVIL;
6 Rejoiceth not IN INIQUITY, but REJOICETH IN THE TRUTH;
7 BEARETH ALL THINGS, BELIEVETH ALL THINGS, HOPETH ALL THINGS, ENDURETH ALL THINGS.

Our love (God's love in us) is pure and holy by nature and it is practicable. I'll want us to see it from the perspective of the Classic Amplified Bible:

1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬8 AMPC
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].

If the kind of love you have lack all these different traits, IT IS NOT REAL, but FAKE! So speaking in tongues without walking and living in love will make you a useless nobody. Love is our Hallmark, not tongues!

Jesus said in John 13:35 KJV "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, IF YE HAVE LOVE ONE TO ANOTHER."

Unknown tongues Part 9

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and HAVE NOT CHARITY, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, AND HAVE NOT CHARITY, I am nothing.

Even though unknown tongues has a lot of benefits attached to the subject, it is not the most important one. It is just a little thing where the Holy Ghost is concerned. There are still many important things to get to know and focus on in relation to the Holy Ghost.

Walking in the God kind of love, agape, is very important to us all. See ☝🏿how the Apostle Paul spoke about it and pointed it out. Even though speaking in unknown tongues is supernatural and it achieves many wonderful results, walking in the solid character of the God kind of love is very important to your life.

You must operate in all gifts and ministries of the Spirit of God with agape in the foundation of love or else you are a clanging cymbal or a high sounding brass. Love is what Paul called charity.

To me, charity is active love. A practical action and it also comes with a lot of feelings for others. Every Christian has this divine love and must be living by it alongside manifesting all the gifts and speaking in tongues!

Speaking in tongues and exercising of spiritual powers (the gifts) is very good, love should characterize your life — the GOD-KIND OF LIFE. You will be a blessing in this life and in the body of Christ in general as all your lifestyle is characterized by the living love of God flowing out of you.

Love is a virtue that tongues isn't. The details here in 1 Corinthians 13 shows us the different ways that love can be exercised and practiced. Please, study this subject of divine love with all seriousness! If you miss love as a child of God, you've really missed everything!

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and HAVE NOT CHARITY, it profiteth me NOTHING.
4 CHARITY (God's love in us) SUFFERETH LONG, and IS KIND; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up...

An actual & real experience

Getting born again is an experience which occurs within a minute, actually in a moment. When the person who did it with the prayer of repentance from sin and confession of faith in Jesus Christ, accepting Him as Lord and Saviour, the miracle occur.

To the question: "Did you feel anything after that prayer?" The new believer replied, "No, I felt nothing." The Evangelist asked, "Nothing?" To which the new convert explained, "You don't understand. I used to feel something till I made that prayer. I used to have a bad feeling of some sort and guilt about sin. Now, I no longer feel the heavy burden of condemnation of sin. It evaporated!"

John 3:7 KJV
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN.

Romans 5:1 KJV
1 Therefore being justified by faith, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Getting born again is a spiritual experience which occurs within a moment, not gradually. It takes a moment of solemn prayer to get born again. It does not require a process of teachings and discipleship to experience the rebirth of the person's spirit on the 💠 inside!

When the experience actually happened, one of the observable changes the person will observe in their experience is that people around them will look different from his own perspective to prove that HE HAS CHANGED and now love those who have had the same experience. He now enjoys reading the Bible!

14 WE KNOW that we have PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE, because WE LOVE THE BRETHREN. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

The Source

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

There are only two sources of power in life. There is power from the Creator of life, the Lord God Almighty! The other source is satanic, the Devil, a fallen angel. The power from the Almighty God is called the anointing and it is indicative that God rubbed it or placed it upon a person or on objects of choice!

The power from the Devil is called by several names, namely, demonic, occultic, psychic, juju and diabolic. There are other names by which they are called that I am presently ignorant of. This satanic is the cause of illnesses, sicknesses, madness, diseases, poverty and death!

If pure magic has power, it is purely demonic in origin. But the anointing of the Holy Ghost is the power of the Almighty God! One is meant to achieve evil while the anointing is for good in all ramifications.

The anointing of the Holy Ghost is here to break and destroy demonic powers off of people under the Devil's oppression!

1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV
2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit IN THE SPIRIT HE SPEAKETH MYSTERIES.

The Law of First Mention operates in this first ☝🏿verse about the deep information regarding great things (the benefits) about the unknown tongues. You speak MYSTERIES which is otherwise known or called DIVINE SECRETS.

When you (and everytime) speak or pray in tongues you are speaking in divine secrets with God Almighty, He is bound to respond to you! There will be an exchange of divine ideas between God and you!

You see, praying in tongues is another way of yielding our lives to the Spirit of God. So when you give yourself to an extensive time of praying in the unknown tongues by the Holy Ghost, much (a lot of things) will be accomplished.

The divine secrets you speak with God touches very many areas of life, especially if you give yourself to lengthy periods of time to speak in tongues either known or unknown and you tend to enjoy many benefits for doing so.

Divine creativity will be inevitable and unleashed as you explore the divine secrets by speaking and praying in unknown tongues. Lots of those divine secrets would be exposed and deposited into the speaker or to someone else in this life, knowing about the possibilities that our God is more than capable of.

1 Corinthians 14:14‭-‬15 AMPC
14 For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays, but my mind is unproductive [it bears no fruit and helps nobody].
15 Then what am I to do? I will pray with my spirit [by the Holy Spirit that is within me], but I will also pray [intelligently] with my mind and understanding; I will sing with my spirit [by the Holy Spirit that is within me], but I will sing [intelligently] with my mind and understanding also.

You activate the functions of your human spirit as you give time to speak and to pray in tongues by the Spirit. Such an activity causes you to be very aware and alert spiritually!

That unproductivity of your mind while you are praying in an unknown tongue suddenly will begin to have resourceful thoughts and ideas!
