It happened that my roommate travelled with the blender.
Yes. You read that right. The blender!
Who does that??!

Although, I would state the fact that our common affinity for the taste of fresh pepper in foods has seen the destruction of a dozen blenders.

Still that does not justify her action. Or does it?

I derail.

It happened on Monday morning.
I had just woken up. Yawning, I lazily rubbed my eyes.

That was when I felt the sting!
I had forgotten to wash my hands properly after cutting fresh pepper to cook my 'sapalized' concoction rice yesterday!!

"Ha!!! Somebody shuu comman help me ooo!!" I shouted running outside.

My eyes were on fire. Even when closed the pain was intense.

"My daddy oo! My daddy oo!!! I haff die oo!!!"
Situations like this would inspire you to remember the existence of your paternal figure.

My neighbors rushed at me. "Peace wetin happen? Wetin dey do you??"

" Ye!! I haff die! My eyes! Get me my daddy!! Baba Peace oo!! Where are you??!"

Exaperated, my neighbors asked. " Talk naw! Wetin do you for eyes?! Wetin you talk say dey do you for eyes??"

" My eyes!! My eyes haff catch fire!!! My daddy oo!"

They kept pouring water over my face. The sting was still there, I could not open my eyes.
It even seemed as if calling my father would not work. I changed tactics.

I started calling my ancestors instead!

"Mazi Okeke!"

"Mazi Okenwa!!"

"Mazi Whitemoney!!!"

" You people shuu comman help your daughter oo!!!"

Guys, that day was not funny. I could not see for seven days and seven nights!

So you see the reason why I have been offline for so long.
If you think that it is a lie, come lemme put small 'tatashe' in your eye.

Moral of the story:
Do not slice your fresh pepper to cook your meals.
Like me, put it whole, to cook with your food.
Then you eat it as you are eating your food,
Two spoons of rice, one ball of pepper!
