Devotional

November 17: Finding Comfort in God's Compassion
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
Devotional
In this passage, we're reminded of the incredible source of comfort in our lives: God Himself. He's not just a distant figure in the sky; He's described as our Father, full of compassion and overflowing with comfort. When we face troubles - big or small - He doesn't abandon us. Instead, He wraps us in His love, offering solace and strength.
God's comfort isn't just for our benefit; it's a transformative experience. It's meant to equip us to be a source of comfort for others. When we receive this divine comfort during our own struggles, we're being prepared to extend the same compassion to those around us who are going through their own difficulties.
Let's pray together:
Dear God, thank You for being the Father of compassion and the source of all comfort. In moments of trouble, help us to lean on Your strength and find solace in Your presence. Teach us to be vessels of Your comfort, sharing the same love and compassion You pour out on us with those who need it most. In Jesus' name, Amen.
I WILL ALWAYS BE HAPPY FOR YOU. THEREFORE:
I pray you WIN
I pray you MAKE IT
I pray you SUCCEED
I pray you OVERCOME
I pray you find FAVOUR
I pray you get APPOINTED
I pray you get PROMOTED
I pray you meet your GOALS
I pray you get all-around BLESSINGS.
All these I pray through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

November 16: Confident in His Work
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:16 (NIV)
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Devotional:
In Philippians 1:6, Paul shares a reassuring truth: "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
God doesn't leave projects UNFINISHED. He started a good work in you, and He's not going to stop until it's complete. Life may throw challenges your way, but take heart in knowing that God is at work in your life, shaping you into the person He designed you to be.
Prayer:
Dear Father, thank You for the confidence we can have in Your work in our lives. Even when we face uncertainties and challenges, help us trust that You are continually shaping and moulding us. Strengthen our faith to believe that the good work You began will be completed, and may we yield to Your transformative power with gratitude. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
And you shall decree a thing... (Job 22:28). What a merverlous power? Use your mouth to frame your world. You can be the best.
I decree that today will favour you, things will fall unto you in pleasant places. I degree no weapon fashion against you shall prosper.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.

November 15: Dwelling in God's Love
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: 1 John 4:16 (NIV)
"So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and anyone who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in them."
Devotional
In the midst of life's chaos, it's easy to overlook the profound truth that God is love. Let's pause and absorb this powerful reality: God's very essence is love. When we embrace this truth with unwavering belief, we establish a beautiful connection where love becomes our home, and God takes residence within us.
Facing life's challenges and uncertainties, it's vital to reflect on the simplicity of these words. God isn't a distant force but a tender, caring presence in our daily encounters. As we internalize this truth, we discover comfort and security in the gentle embrace of divine love.

PILLS OF HOPE
November 14: The Unwavering Anchor.
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Devotional
Trusting God is like letting go of trying to figure everything out on our own. In a world where we often have more questions than answers, we can find peace by putting our trust in God. It's like handing over the steering wheel to someone who knows the way better than we do. As we give up the need to control everything, something special happens – our worries find a safe place in God's unchanging nature.
Not relying on our own understanding is like admitting that we don't have all the answers. It's recognizing that God's wisdom is way bigger and better than what we can grasp. When we trust God, it's like having a reliable guide through life's ups and downs, and that gives us a deep and secure feeling.
The promise that God will make our paths straight is like knowing we have a trustworthy GPS for our journey. In the confusing twists and turns of life, God's guidance is like a clear light showing us the way. Every decision, every challenge, and every moment finds its purpose in the hands of the Master Designer.
Prayer
Dear Father in heaven, help us let go of trying to figure everything out on our own. We admit that we don't have all the answers, but we trust that You do. Guide us through life's twists and turns, and may we find peace in knowing that our path is in Your capable hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.
PILLS OF HOPE
November 13: The Pill of Graciousness
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Devotional
In simple terms, this passage is like a friendly reminder from a friend, encouraging us to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving. It's saying that just being polite isn't enough – we should really embrace a caring attitude that reflects the love we've experienced through Christ.
Think of kindness as the music that makes our relationships sound beautiful and compassion as the gentle wind carrying the sweet smell of Christ's love. Compassion isn't just understanding; it's actively stepping into the good times and the tough times with others. And forgiveness, well, that's like a healing ointment for our hurts and fixes what's been broken. We're supposed to forgive others just as God forgave us – that's the big idea.
So, as we go through our everyday lives, let's make sure our actions and words are filled with the warmth of kindness. Look for chances to lift up and support those around you. Remember how God, in His endless compassion, reached out to us when we were struggling? We're asked to do the same for others – be understanding and helpful, showing them the life-changing power of Christ's love.
Action Point:
Take a moment today to intentionally show kindness to someone, be there for them in a tough time, and consider forgiving someone who may have hurt you. In these simple actions, we mirror the gracious love and compassion we've received, making our world a bit brighter.
PILLS OF HOPE
November 12: Guided By His Word.
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Devotional
In life, we often face tough times and uncertainties. It's like walking in a dark forest at night, not sure where to step. That's when the words from Psalm 119:105 are like a comforting flashlight.
Picture this: you're in a dense, dark forest, and you can't see where you're going. A lamp would be so helpful, right? Well, the Bible is like that lamp for our lives, shining light on our path. It doesn't promise an easy journey, but it assures us that we're not alone.
When we read the Bible, it's like getting advice and wisdom for our journey, and it reminds us of God's promises. His Word is like a hopeful guide, helping us see clearly and showing us the way, even in life's complicated moments. Let's not just see the Bible as words on a page; let's think of it as a light that not only warns us of problems but also shows us the beauty and purpose of where we're headed.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us understand Your teachings and find strength in them every day. Let Your words give us hope and show us the way forward. When we're confused, be our guide, and in times of doubt, be our rock. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

November 10: Finding Rest in Jesus.
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Devotional
In our busy lives, it's easy to feel stressed with all the things we have to do and the expectations others have for us. Instead of dealing with everything alone, Jesus invites us to let go of our worries and trust Him to handle them. He's not telling us to rely on our own strength for peace but to find it in Him. Picture Jesus reaching out to give us a comforting hug and a peace that's hard to explain.
Life can be tough, and when it gets too much, Jesus is there, calling us to come to Him. He gets what we're going through, cares about our tiredness, and provides a safe place from life's difficulties.
So, instead of carrying our burdens alone, let's take a moment today to give our worries to Jesus. In Him, we find a kind of rest that renews our spirits and gives us strength for the journey ahead.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I come to You, weary and burdened, seeking the rest only You can provide. You said if I come to You, You will give me rest. Grant me Your peace and refresh my soul. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Devotional
Life can be uncertain, and sometimes, we wonder what the future holds. In Jeremiah 29:11, God gives us a beautiful promise to hold onto.
God says that He knows the plans He has for us. This means that even when things seem unclear, God has a plan for our lives, and His plan is filled with love and purpose.
God's plan is to bring us good, not harm. He wants us to do well in all areas of life, not just financially but also in our hearts, relationships, and well-being. He is a loving God who desires to bless us.

Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: James 1:5 (NIV)

Devotional
We live in a world filled with complex decisions, challenging circumstances, and countless questions that require wisdom to navigate. In times of uncertainty, it's only natural to seek guidance and understanding. James encourages us to turn to God, the ultimate source of wisdom.
God's generosity shines through Scriptures. God is not judgemental, and He won't scold us for asking; instead, He willingly shares wisdom. But, it's crucial to approach Him with faith and humility. Trust that He will answer and acknowledge your need for His guidance.
Remember, God's wisdom can come from various sources, including His Word, wise people, or His guiding voice. Be open to His guidance.

November 5: The Blessings of Forgiveness
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: Psalm 103:12 (NIV)
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
Devotional
Imagine standing at a point on Earth and heading east. (Can you just close your eyes and imagine in your mind how far the East is from the West) You can keep going endlessly, with no final destination, as east stretches infinitely away. Similarly, God's forgiveness knows no bounds. When He forgives our sins, He removes them from us as far as the east is from the west. This thought is incredibly comforting. Our heavenly Father not only forgives but also forgets our transgressions. He doesn't hold our mistakes against us. Therefore, we should not dwell on our past sins, allowing them to define us. Instead, God's forgiveness should liberate us from guilt and shame.
Today, receive forgiveness and experience the cleansing power of His grace.
Prayer
Dear God, we thank You for Your abundant forgiveness that removes our transgressions as far as the east is from the west. May Your mercy continue to set us free from guilt and shame. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Jesus paid it ALL.
All to Him I owe.

We are reminded that we have been empowered with the strength to face challenges with courage, to love unconditionally, and to exercise self-discipline in our pursuits.
Today, let faith replace fear in your heart.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Spirit, which fills us with power, love, and self-discipline. Help us replace fear with faith as we trust in Your presence and Your power. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

November 3: Finding Peace in the Storm of Life.
Apostle Dr. Olu Jacobs
Scripture: Psalm 107:29 (NIV)
"He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed."
Devotional
When life's storms rage, peace is found in Christ. He has the power to still the storm and bring calm to our lives. You remember, when the wind was boisterous and the disciples thought they were going to die and cried out to Jesus? One word from Jesus calmed the sea. He is the Prince of Peace, and He gives peace that surpasses human understanding.
Jesus is speaking silently to your heart this day: “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous! John 14:27 TPT
Today, take refuge in the peace that only Jesus can provide. Call on Him and He will answer you.
Prayer
Dear Lord, when the storms of life surround me, I seek Your calming presence. Speak to the tempest within and bring peace to our souls, knowing that You are in control. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
This month of November, you will possess your possessions- healing possession, financial blessings, marital bliss, and peace of mind.

October 29: Encouragement in Fellowship
Scripture: Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
Devotional
Fellowship is a source of encouragement and growth. In Fellowship, unity is built. In Fellowship, the power of God is released as seen in Acts 2. When brethren come together either to pray, worship, or study, great grace is released.
Apostle John wrote, “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 KJV.
In the place of Fellowship, there is forgiveness of sins. The Christian race is a personal race, but you need co-runners and cheerleaders on the way to encourage you on, and this you find in the place of fellowship. Let us consider how to encourage one another toward love and good deeds. Together, we find strength for the journey. Find a place to Fellowship today.
Prayer
Lord, I thank You for the gift of Christian fellowship. Help us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds, and may our gatherings be times of encouragement and growth. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

PILLS OF HOPE
Apostle Dr Olu Jacobs
October 28: Blessings in Unity
Scripture: Psalm 133:1 (NIV)
"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in UNITY!"
Devotional
Unity among God's people brings goodness and pleasantness. It reflects God's heart and invites His blessings.
If people are united, whatever they imagined to do becomes easier. See how scriptures put it. “The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” Genesis 11:6-7 NIV.
There are blessings, power, and favour in unity. Jesus praying for the Church said “Make them one as We are One”. Unity attracts grace. It is like a sweet perfume that spread from the top downwards. (Psalm 133:2).
Just as there are power, blessings, and grace in unity, disunity breeds confusion, division, and weakness. Jesus admonished that a house divided against itself can not stand.
Today, seek unity in your relationships, families, and communities, knowing it pleases the Lord.
Prayer
Dear God, I join my brethren to pray for unity among Your people. Help us to live together in harmony, reflecting Your love and grace. May Your blessings flow abundantly as we seek to walk in unity. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
