Life
It's so funny, how we come back for holiday from school. And after a month or two we start to dislike the energy around. Maybe because of house chores, or some petty errands to run. And when we get back to school,we start missing home again.
Two months ago, I was on my Industrial training (IT). So I decided to visit home. While at it, I constantly go to the shop to help my mum. I remembered one day in the market, my mum sent me to buy something for her. On my way, a young girl that was mentally derange stopped me and insisted I buy orange for her. Ah.. I was so shocked the way she dragged me to the spot where the mallam was selling the orange. Me on the other end was shy because people where laughing at me seeing us together. And scared because I thought she wanted to harm me. Truly, I was with five hundred naira and what am buying for mumcy was that same amount. I just stood there without any idea in my head on what next to do. The feeling of her holding my hand alone was awful. After a few minutes an idea came in to my head... I told the mallam to give her the orange while i go get the money . Lie!! Lie!! The woman disagreed she said I must pay before leaving there. "Hmmm I don jam". The second idea that came to my mind was trying to release myself from her hands but no such luck. Infact, when she noticed I was trying to escape from her, she jacked me on my shirt. I immediately gave the mallam the five hundred naira I was holding and he gave her the orange then she freed me.
Last week, i came back to school. My IT is over. Normally the first week of resumption is always stress free but subsequently it becomes stressful and frustrating. I am now missing home again.😩

I woke up this morning, and was going through my phone and saw random post all over the social media about today been the "independent day".The one that earned my attention was " Pls no matter what you do today don't send me happy independence's day". I smiled, because I know why that energy flaunt all over the media.
Today is independent day, True. But are we the Nigerians really independent? Do we have freedom? Is our voices heard when we speak? Or our complaints attend to when we have pressing issues? Obviously not. All these boils down to why that caption flaunt all over the media today. It was this same October last year (10/2020)that, there was a massive massacre in lekki toll gate and in different states too. It's already a year now but, the memory is still fresh in our hearts.
It is no longer a rumour or had thing to say that the government has failed us woofly. The purposely denied us our rights as citizens of Nigerians. The practically enjoy seeing us suffer and die like animals because of selfish interest.
For Christ sake today is first October, we are meant to be celebrating our freedom, but no. You can imagine Anambra for now, For the past three days now blood has been shed and might still be shed today because of the upcoming election. Pls tell me, how do we celebrate today with this kind of energy around. Nigeria is now know for disunity, bad governance and also killers. Tasks given out are no longer accomplished without shedding innocent lives. What exactly is there to celebrate today?
Clearly in the east today is sit at home. All because of tension in the states. This is so disheartening and outrageous.but, in all of these I still pray we hold on to God because he is the greatest. I pray a better Nigeria.

Growing up in a family of six, normally the rate at which work is supposed to be done at home is less but in this case, it is the exact irony of it. Everyone in the house feels reluctant to do the chores because the feel the other person is supposed to do it.or you are the elderly one so it is your responsibility to work.
Adaeze is a good kid, who is fond of using her left hand to the right one. She has a very fine handwriting and among her peer's she's outspoken and smart. This made her unique and different. But some people don't seem to like her because of her constant use of the left hand. Her mum too, sometimes rebuke her from using the hand. But it didn't stop her from using it. It is inborn.
.
Last week Saturday, Adaeze was in her mum's shop helping her out in the business. When a man came in to buy. After buying his soup ingredients he asked she helped me slice the spinach he bought. Immediately, Adaeze brought out two and started slicing it. Few minutes into the process he said Wait !!!! Are you left handed? She smiled and said yes. He shook his head and said why didn't your mum train you well? Why will you be using left hand? I.... She tried saying something but he shut her up. Why talk when am talking? He continued. Hmmmm... "I don enter" she said quietly. You shouldn't be using your left hand and besides you are a girl that will get married one day. Will you be cooking food for your husband with your left hand? He further asked? She was dumbfounded and couldn't utter a word. But after digesting what he said and reviewing it in her mind. She was disturbed and couldn't contend her temperament she sighed... And later said I believed God created me to be this way and anyone who doesn't like it that way should just back off.

Don't you dare touch me. Was the statement I heard from the back sit in the class. Ngozi is a busy body fine girl in our department, girl is so full of herself and feels like everyone is supposed to worship at her feet. Luckily for her she has a boyfriend that is a yahoo guy in some other department. He visits her three times a week in our class. Reasons why she feels big cos she has an iPhone and wear different kinds of wigs and her dressing too is top notch.During exams period, she always try to act nice so as to get favor of whom she will sit with and copy from him or her.Over the previous semesters Kunle and grace helped her passed the exams.
One faithful day I was in the bus with her I was sitting at her back and her phone rang and she picked and said John, sorry i missed your miss call🙆.The way she said it in a phonetic way Drew more laughter. I laughed so hard and was almost at the verge of shedding tears when she turned and asked why I was laughing? I didn't reply her but the question made me laugh the more. The other passengers were laughing at her too. One guy said to her as you fine like this, with this your eye lashes like umbrella you still no Sabi speak English 😂😂. Everyone kept laughing at her and she felt ashamed....

Sometime last month, I was strolling to Nowas in Enugu state. That vicinity is a total blend of where you see different kinds of hustling like the Keke drivers, the shuttle drivers, the hawkers and even the less privileged that are seeking for alms. Most times whenever I come around I love the energy the youth put out but sometimes too it's rueful.
On a Sunday afternoon, after coming back from church, I was to go see my friend Chinwe in her shop, she sells provisions at IMT.so I got into a bus and we were seven inside.Five guys, the driver then I was the only girl sitting in there midst. There was a crazy and funny traffic jam on the road. Crazy because it is always a frustrating moment and Funny because the Keke drivers always have this vaguely ways of overtaking the shuttle drivers whenever there's hold up and it makes the shuttle drivers pi**ed off and sometimes the end up insulting them or even wishing them bad. Forty-five minutes later, still stuck in the traffic, a Keke driver was spotted by our driver coming. His face held frowns from the annoying traffic and was just so detached. Kriiiiiiiiiiiiii gbawaaaa😳,you know that sound coming from someone trying to hold his or brake from an accident.but unfortunately this fellow wasn't safe.it was the Keke man,he barged our drivers shuttle. Hmmm E don happened, Fast and furious mood was activated by our driver, he came down and didn't utter a word he went straight to where the Keke guy was trying to come out of his Keke and gave him two heavy knocks simultaneously. Apparently he was just a young guy and our driver was somewhat of age.At first the knock Drew laughter from the crowd, then it resulted to a fight.... People around rushed and came to separate the fight, but our driver was so mad and was complaining why the Keke drivers keep driving when there's hold up on the road. He further asked in Igbo language and said "Anyi a ga-agba oso hapu unu uzo" Are we going to run and leave the road for you guys?
