Drinking the recommended amount of water per day will ensure that you stay hydrated throughout your pregnancy. It also prevent the risk of dehydration and fatigue that can affect your baby’s health.
📍It helps in flushing out toxins from your kidneys, keeping you and your baby protected from any bacteria, infections and illnesses down the line.
📍Hydration is also good for regulating your body temperature, especially during the early and late stages of pregnancy as you adapt to the sudden changes in your body.
📍 Drinking enough water during pregnancy helps form and maintain the amniotic fluid that surrounds your baby.
📍It helps your body absorb all the essential nutrients into the cells and delivers all the vitamins, minerals and hormones to the blood cells and of which gets to your baby through the placenta.

Now you know, ensure you take enough water during pregnancy.

Go for your postpartum checkups, even if you’re feeling fine. It's best to be certified fit by your health provider than assuming you are.

Colic is frequent, prolonged and intense crying or fussiness in a healthy infant.(crying for three or more hours a day, three or more days a week, for three or more weeks). It can be frustrating for parents because the baby's distress occurs for no apparent reason and no amount of consoling seems to bring any relief.
If your baby is colicky, try this measures ⬇️ one or two will work for you.
📍You can massage your baby.
📍Give him a warm bath and feed him very well at night.
📍Let your baby lie on his or her belly on your lap, and softly rub your baby’s back.
📍Try using something in your child's room that makes a soothing sound, such as a fan.
📍Hold and cuddle your baby. You can sing while cuddling him.
📍Change your baby's body position from time to time.
📍Hold them with bare skin against your own, let him feel the warmth of your body.
📍Carry him and walk around your house.
📍Rock your baby in your arms or by using an infant swing.
📍Go for a walk with your baby in their stroller. Or go for a drive with your baby in their car seat.

I don't encourage using drugs to treat colic. Your baby will outgrow it soon. He's only trying to adapt to an environment he's not used to.

The biggest factor that affects your first period after having a baby is whether or not you are breastfeeding. "If a woman is not breastfeeding well, or not breastfeeding at all, then the first me**es usually returns at six weeks postpartum to three months postpartum.
For exclusive breastfeeding mothers, It's rare for your period to return until at least six months postpartum (at which point you've probably introduced some solid food to the baby's diet), but it may not return at all until you're done with exclusive breastfeeding often a year or more postpartum. The timing can differ from person to person.

Circumcising your girl child has no health benefits, it harms our girls in many ways. This procedure is illegal and it involves removing and damaging healthy and normal female ge***al tissue, and interferes with the natural functions of girls' and women's bodies. Pls don't allow your daughter to be a victim of this.
Run away from anyone encouraging you to practice it.

It's nearly impossible to determine your personal odds of getting pregnant after giving birth. That's because every woman’s body is different, and the timetable for first postpartum ovulation is unpredictable due to hormonal changes. To be on a safe side, use some form of contraception.

You can say the something from there🤣🤣😃
Even after 6weeks postpartum, some women are not ready to resume s*x and that's fine. You can always take your time for both recovery and getting yourself ready.

Early antenatal care(ANC) booking will help your health team identify any underlying health conditions that may pose a threat to you and your baby.
Do not listen to anyone telling you to wait for some time. Please book for ANC once your pregnancy is confirmed and keep to your appointments.

When bathing a baby especially newborn, you need to be extremely careful on how you pour water and soap. Inhaling water or soapy water into the lungs may make the child susceptible to bacterial infections and pneumonia.

If you're planning to conceive or you're already pregnant, pls avoid these harmful practices. They're not healthy for you and your baby. You can resume your drinking and smoking when you've weaned your baby off breast milk. Remember these habits are not good for you too.

When visiting a newborn, Please don’t ever show up unannounced. Call and find out when you can visit. And when you do, just meet the baby, congratulate the parents, have a chat, offer to help in any way you can and then be on your way. Be very careful not to overstay your welcome.
