Qatar Airways announce resumption of flights to Saudi Arabia, starting with services to Riyadh on Monday 11 January 2021, followed by Jeddah on Thursday 14 and Dammam on Saturday 16 January.


Qatar Airways flights will start with a daily service to Riyadh, four flights a week to Jeddah and daily flights to Dammam.

All Qatar Airways flights to KSA will be operated exclusively by wide body aircraft including the Boeing 777-300, Boeing 787-8 and Airbus A350


Flights will connect through Hamad International Airport, voted by Skytrax as the best airport in the Middle East for six consecutive years.

Passengers in KSA will have the ability to connect to the largest network in the region with over 800 weekly frequencies to more than 110 destinations, more than any airline in the Middle East

UK Mandatory COVID-19 testing requirements

International arrivals required to prove negative COVID-19 test result before departure for England.

• all international arrivals to England, including UK nationals, required to present a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours prior to departure

• passengers will be subject to an immediate fine of £500 if they fail to comply with the new regulations on pre-departure testing

• all passengers arriving from countries not on the government’s travel corridor list will still be required to self-isolate for 10 days, regardless of test result

• passengers will still be required to fill in a passenger locator form and be subject to national lockdown restrictions

This is to inform you that the Federal Government of Nigeria has rolled out new containment measures against the importation of C-19 into the country. With effect from Monday the 28th of December all international travellers must register with the Nigeria International Travel Portal – nitp.ncdc.gov.ng.

When returning to Nigeria all travellers must present two documents to the airlines in order to board. The first document is a negative COVID-19 PCR result and the second document is a permit to travel.

To get a permit to travel on the travel portal, the customer must have done the following
1. Completed the health questionnaire electronically
2. Uploaded a COVID-19 PCR result
3. Paid for a repeat test that would be done 7 days after arrival in Nigeria.

Passengers who do not present a permit to travel would not be accepted for flights to Nigeria from the 28th of December 2020.
