Dear Soaring Youth 🦅,

We all have ugly, gloomy and bad days. We can't escape it.

However, here's what you can do in those moments and moments after to maintain your sanity.

This is a quick routine

1. Speak with a Professional Counsellor. Seeking therapy is always the key to healing.

2. Speak with a friend when you can't reach a Professional Counselor immediately as you would need to vent, rant to feel better.

3. Journalise. Keep a record of the day and other good days. Memories help your mind and helps maintain sanity.

4. Take a break and breathe. It'll help reduce palpitations when you are faking sad, anxious or worried. It helps you keep calm.

5. Do some light exercise. It'll help your mind and body feel lighter and more relaxed.

6. Art therapy: draw, paint or scribble. It helps you lift the weight from your shoulders and mind into art.

7. Spend time with nature: Enjoy fresh air and take a walk.

Dear Soaring Youth ⭐,

Please:

1. Know when to leave
2. Know when to stay
3. Know when you're overstaying
4. Know when you're understaying .

Know when you're not and no longer needed in a space.

Knowing in this case is either done directly whereby, you are being told either verbally or in written form to leave.

It can also be done nonverbally whereby it is being communicated that you're no longer needed with gestures, actions and behaviours of the people in the said space.

The space could be within family members, colleagues at work, church members, relationship between spouses, business partnership etc.

Not everyone has the courage to be confrontational to directly tell you to leave and so they do so indirectly.

Be vigilant and know what your space is communicating to you.

Also, do not over process and overreact as you do so.

Be wise!

Don't sull about the things you couldn't achieve or the mistakes you made yesterday. Yesterday is gone.
