When love leads, amazing and beautiful things happen(though not on a silver platter). That’s why at YOUNG at HEART, we believe we can adapt to unfamiliar environment, empower the less privileged and measure progress in a society where there is love.
Love should be the foundation of every well-meaning volunteering endeavour. We live in a world where there is a lot of talk about Love. We read about Love in many books today. We watch and listen to movies and music respectively about so-called love stories.
Love seems to be one of the most abused words in our daily speech. Now day in day out people are attempting to define what true love is. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder if there is anything like “false love”. I beg to differ.
Love is Love and must be true. If it’s not, then it wasnt Love in the first place.
I’m saying this because as far as I know, “Love is(or at least supposed to be) patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
LOVE NEVER FAILS…”
1 Corithians 13:4-8

As stated explicitly above, Love never fails. If indeed, that is the case, then a sure solution to the problems we’re facing as individuals and as a society is to let Love lead.

So how do we give Love the chance to lead. If we are to let Love lead, it behoves you and I to be more sensitive to the needs of others. Love is a call to selflessness and sacrifice. Love is beautiful but not always comfortable. In fact, the greatest Love story ever told was when our Lord “adapted” to life on earth which was climaxed with a public ex*****on on the cross. This was anything but comfortable. I believe the lesson here is that sometimes Love will mean sacrificing our own pleasure and comfort for the good of others.
Where there is Love, there is hope
Where there is love, there is joy
Where there is love, there is peace
No need to sit and wait for someone to show you love so you can respond positively. There’s an unlimited measure of love in you waiting to be unleashed. The world need it. “Show your love…”

One practical way to show your love is to volunteer for a good cause. Let Love lead you to start, join or support a well-meaning volunteering initiative in your community. You may consider joining YOUNG at HEART on our mission “To champion Computer Literacy among children in Africa with special focus on Rural Africa via Computers and other E-learning platforms”

Premarital s*x is now the main prove of love... Can you see how they have upgraded human killings to be politics? Most of these evil acts are done because of a so-called grace message.

Virginity that was the most expensive asset is now cheaper than a plate of food. I have seen ladies who denial guys access to their ATM pin, account balance, their birth certificate, but yet give them easy access to their private parts. Among all these things which one are we suppose to protect from a second party?

Haven't you seen where someone will abandon the good news of the Bible just to get news from yabaleft, operamini, Lynda ikeji's blog? People are ready to die for their political parties rather than the gospel... Where the youth pay more respect to the voice of celebrities than the voice of God's ordained prophets... They even monitor and follow up ballot boxes why the new converts in their churches are perishing because of lack of follow up...

This is the generation where ladies are now scheduled for hibs surgery, b***s sugery... guys are now going for penni's enlargement... All these are just to satisfy their s*xual urge and boost their fornication spirit...

The devil makes work for idle hands.
A saying goes that " an idle man is the devil's workshop" This means that anyone who is jobless will definitely be used by the devil to commit grevious offense. This makes me remember what happened to a lady called Mrs. Esther Odusanya.

Mrs. Esther Odusanya was a woman in her thirties. She was a proud and arrogant woman. Even with the fact that she was as poor as a church rat, she still insulted people who were more better off than she was. She was one of those who were always avoided in the neighborhood because of her sharp tongue. Whenever there were exchange of abusive words,they arouse her pleasure. In fact she got the reputation of foul mouthed and ugly words. Her dirty manners and rude behaviours made her husband divorce her. Her husband opened a supermarket for her owing to the fact that he was a bank manager. But her bad mouth made her loose customers. Eventually , the supermarket closed down after her husband left her for another woman. This left her jobless.
Whenever her neighbours were leaving for work/office, they always left her in the care of their children and that made people disrespect her.
But she wasn't bother because she had little education. One day , she stormed upon one of her friends called Deborah who was a university graduate. Deborah was a very wealthy woman. They exchanged contact and either paid her a visit. She asked her friend to assist her start a business but her friend had no money on her due to the dept she paid off. She got angry and left her friend's place thinking her friend didn't want to help her. When she got home, she started cursing and raining abuses on her friend....

I guess this is interesting ???

Later on, she stopped and started thinking of how to pay her friend back in her own coin. Due to the many thoughts that ran through her mind, she decided that she would cut her friend's life short and see how her friend's business would continue flourishing. She arranged for hired killers to murder her friend by giving them her address.
About 10:00a.m ,when Deborah was leaving for her business place, she was strangled to death right in her car. Luckily , Mrs. Deborah's maid Abigail knew when an argument ensued between her madam and Mrs. Odusanya. While the policemen were investigating the incident, Abigail told them all that happened. Mrs. Esther Odusanya was charged to court with accomplices. She was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour.
Had it been she had a pretty job she was doing, she would not even have gone to her friend for assistance. That's why i say The devil makes out work for an idle hand.

I Need to go back to those days when salvation Message was More important than Prophecy.
Take Me back to those days when S*x Out of Wedlock was seen as a taboo not now when S*x is an Appreciation gift.
Can i go back to those days when pregnancy Outside Marriage was a shame to Families not now that it is a way of life.
Is there Anybody who know the Road to those Days? When descent dressing was the identity of responsibility not now when there is no difference between a Lunatic, a Mechanic and a Sane Man.
Where are those days when the beauty of a Woman was Found to proper dressing first, not now when an Average woman want to appear naked.
Please Can we find those days, when Divorce was a derogatory Language among Christians, not today when broken Marriages are now Celebrated.
i wish i Can go back to those days when true love was build on Sacrifice and trust not now when love is hanging on S*xual Capability and Money.
Where are those days when Men of God we're afraid of God and live by the word not now when they teach a different thing and live a different life style of their Choice.
Please wake Me up from this Sleep when we arrive at that world where Rapture and Resurrection was the Major Focus of the Church not now that Materialism is the Center Focus.
Have we really forgotten those days when if a Member of a Church fall into temptation, the Church will Cry and pray for his/her Restoration, not today when a Member will Commit a sin and the Church will give such one a position in the Church as long as he/she has Money.
Where are those days when Men will pray until they get Results, not now when all they want is Prophecy even when the said Prophecy has no Solution Or Mandate to Redeem .
Am looking for those days when so many Girls were Rejected and beaten up by their Parent's, some lost their Education while others were Cajoled by their Mates because they refuse to Compromise and they gave up all for Christ, not this days when Man's way of life is More important than God's way, and going to heaven is a dream for the lost.
I just remember those days when parents wanted their Children to Marry born again Christians, not today when parents want their daughter to marry Money bags even if they are Ritualists.
i weep and pray that the Owner of the Church will not Come and Meet his Church like this because Many Saints who has gone will feel disappointed and the Church itself May not Make the Rapture.

It's my joy to see youth out there protesting against the brutality of SARS and police... But am very sure that's not the problem of the country... If only we can come out in numbers like this to protest against SARS after enjoying the season of BBNaija while we forget the problem we have in the nation, we should have the efficacy or strength to come out in multitudes to end the brutality of the so called leaders in the country....

Trust me, if we end SARS, they are still coming back in another foes, why not vote out the criminals in the Labour world...

And to the non celebrity... We all have to be wise in everything we do.. The celebrity are using youth as instrument to stop the brutality of SARS cuz many of them are not pure in their ways... Have you forgotten the season of book haram,chibok girls and the likes, no one protest against all of this, am very sure those seasons are so terrific more than now... Let's bring the bad eggs out of governance..

BLOOD OATH BETWEEN LOVERS, IS IT RIGHT OR WRONG?

OUR talk for today is about lovers involving in taking blood oath. In Africa, this is very common among young unmarried lovers, I don't know about the western world.

Before I start with my story, let me first define what blood covenant means;

Blood covenant can be defined as a blood promise between two individuals, whereby both individual pierce their thumb to bring out blood they their by either join their bleeding thumbs together or lick the blood from the other partners thumb, making a promise(in most cases male and female who are lovers) to always be together and not getting involved with any other individual and if any of the individual involved derails then they place a particular curse on themselves like the failing party runs mad, impotency, barrenness and the rest.

Personally, I have witnessed a situation like this, among two lovers who use to attend the same school with me.

Read their story....

Priscilla and Stanley met in high school and fell in love with each other. They were so much in love that is, they were inseparable. Their relationship blossomed by the day. Then we their classmate go green with envy whenever they were around us. Their love as we believed then was made in heaven...

But they had one obstacle. Priscilla came from a wealthy, powerful influential home. Her parents were well known in the society because of their political influence in the country. While, Stanley is from a poor home, his parents just manage to send him to school and luckily for him he got a scholarship from the government to continue his education.

Now the issue was, Priscilla parents didn't approved of their relationship because according to them, Stanley is not worthy of their daughter.Also Stanley's parents disapprove of the relationship, knowing their background so well. The lovers refuse to be separated by their parents, even after graduating from high school, they continued. Both of them left high school for the university. After graduating, Stanley managed to secure a meager job in a small private firm, he still went ahead to Priscilla parents to seek for her hand in marriage. Her parents drove him out of the house. Priscilla was unhappy about her parents action. So they both decided to partake in blood covenant that no matter the obstacles, they will never separate, and as long as both of them are alive they will never get married or sleep with any body else,if they do otherwise, they will run mad.

After taking the oath, they continued their relationship secretly. Unknown to both of them, Priscilla parents were planning to send her overseas to further her studies,they made all the necessary arrangement without informing her, when they were through, they told her their intention. She was happy at the same time sad because she will leave her sweet heart Stanley. She decided to go and complete her studies with the intention of coming back to home to marry her lover. When it was time for the lovers to part,they cried and vowed to continue their love even from a distance.

"Readers I guess me and you know that, their wish won't come to pass" .........................

Back to the story, After Priscilla left for overseas, days turned into months, months turn into years, before they knew it 5 years had passed. Their communicating rate was not as constant as it use to be.

Then the worst happened,Priscilla found a new lover overseas, she got carried away,she forgot all about her old flame, the vows she took, the blood oath and all the promises she made to Stanley her lover. Meanwhile, Stanley was here in Nigeria waiting for his lover to return home, he knew something was wrong, because his calls were no longer answered, his mails were never replied. Also, he stuck to the vows he made and stayed completely from all other women.

Two years later, Priscilla got married to her new found lover. And readers guess what happened.... nature took its cause... she ran mad immediately after the ceremony due to the fact that she violated the blood oath she took with her ex lover...

Then as for Stanley, he remain unmarried even till date.,,,,, So sad....

Welcome back readers, after reading this story, you can see that blood oath is not advisable at all in any relationship, although people don't practice it much these days, but some still do. It's a year we all have been expecting good things and fortune but unfortunately we never enjoy what we think it will be of benefit to us all, we are suffering from what we don't even know about....

We have been in the occasion of lockdown for the past 3 month hoping that it will be lifted soon but here we are today they keep procrastinating because the happiness of the citizen is none of their own concern.......

Youth out there, am sure of what we all call RIGHT and CHOICE,with the aid of all this corrupt leader we can't hit our target or point.. Let's wake up and take a bold step, enough of the destroyers...

THE MENACE OF R**E IN NIGERIA.

One of the greatest ills plaguing our society today is r**e with violence. Indeed, the menace of r**e is seriously and dangerously threatening the very existence of our own society. The wave of r**e is sweeping through the country in a terrifying manner with terrific frequency, our newspaper, in screaming headlines, report almost daily of incidence of bad influence and attitude here and there all over the country.
Lives are no more safe. There is general feeling of insecurity all around. As the rate of violent r**e and robbery increases, people have continued to put across series of suggestions concerning how cases of r**e can be checked. But do we tackle something that the causes have not been identified? My view, therefore, is that causes of violent robbery be traced before it can be checked....
