My Dad use to say-

Put your kids in schools you can afford (expensive schools doesn’t guarantee good results) Just ensure they attend a good affordable school.

Rent apartments you can pay for conveniently, don’t live in a house you struggle to pay yearly.

A man whose wife is pregnant has good 9 months to prepare, so also is the pregnant woman in question. They should even plan for the worse and only seek help when they can’t meet up.

Some problems in our lives don’t just pop up, 12 months ago, we knew we would pay rents... So its not an emergency...

Let’s plan our lives and live within our means.Save more and spend less, some women buy food for their children every morning before going to school, do you know it’s cheaper to cook at home? Some buy every a*o ebi and also buy shoe and bag to match

Some people who don’t earn much, but have DSTV at home, go for GOTV and upgrade when your income upgrades. It’s still the same CNN.

Eat healthy meals and protect your family from mosquitoes to avoid going to the hospital always. Take advantage of food and fruits in sea*on, its cheaper and you can be creative to create amazing meals.

Don’t copy Mama Emeka’s style of cooking soup, she earns well and her husband is a ‘big man’

Don’t follow trends, wear clean well ironed clothes and keep your hair neat. You would still slay.

*Keep your circle small, keep only friends that are productive and profiting. Friends with good sense of rea*oning.

Planning is key, "if we fail to plan, we plan to fail" if we plan properly we might not need to ask anyone for anything.

Above all things, have the fear of God, have integrity, don’t be lazy and be prayerful.

God bless us all and provide all our needs.

Your fellow Southerner is in a position to give you employment.

You go to him for employment.

You speak good English and write an excellent application letter to impress him.

He tells you to bring your qualifications.

You bring your First Degree (First Class or second class).

He tells you to go and do your Masters and even PhD for you to get the job.

ON THE OTHER HAND

A Northerner is in a position to give employment.

An Hausa Man goes to him.

He speaks Hausa to him.

He tells him to bring his qualifications.

He brings a third class degree or an SSCE with two Credits.

He gets the job and saves money to further his education.

He gets a Masters Degree while doing the job.

Tomorrow, he is appointed as Executive Director.

Ten years Later, he becomes Chairman or DG of the Agency.

The Southerner sees this and hates on the Hausa Man.

He accuses him of nepotism.

But that's not nepotism.

That's communalism.

Southerners must understand the difference between nepotism and communalism.

Helping your Brother to succeed is not nepotism.

Southerners just need to learn how to love one another like Northerners do.

Stop hiding opportunities from your people.

Northerners do not hide opportunities from their people.

*Obaseki meets Edo youths, says Nigeria in dire need of strong institutions not strongmen*

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has identified weak institutions as a bane of Nigeria’s underdevelopment, hinting on the need for leaders across the country to build strong institutions to achieve sustainable development.

Obaseki made the call while addressing youths in the state during a stakeholders’ engagement of the Edo State Transition Committee with youths and student groups at the New Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City.

According to Obaseki, “Let us hold our political leaders to account; people will come and go, but institutions will remain. Let us build strong institutions and not individuals. The buildings are there; people have come and gone.

“Let us begin to think of government that way. We must now begin to think of government differently. This is because institutions will take care of us; we also need to start to change the mentality that all arms of government go to collect allocation from Abuja. There is nothing to take. We all have to come together and create the things we need.”

Obaseki further reiterated his administration's commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, in its efforts at making Edo great again.

“My message to you is one of hope. As young people, you must have hope; the fact that our oil revenue is falling on a daily basis should not bother us. Nigeria was a better country when we didn't have crude oil.

"It will continue to be a better country when crude oil is no longer a factor in our lives and it's only you that can make it happen. The only way this will happen is when we realize that the government is about you and when you participate in governance.

"The structure of government that we run needs to change; it has to be more localized; it has to be more inclusive. You need to participate - not just sit down and participate on social media - in your community; speak up,” the governor charged.

Earlier, the State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, while giving his opening remarks, said that the state civil and public service has been the focal point of government's attention.

Also, a participant, Alhaji Evbareke Ahmed, urged the governor to ensure the completion of the Benin River Port, adding that it would further create job opportunities for youths.

What make the Christmas food Haram?
Is it because it was cooked on the 25th of December or because it was cooked by a Christian?

I want to officially join the agitations and I must commend all the brave youths who defile all odds to fight for their stolen rights by the Men and Officers of the Nigeria Police Force under the umbrella known as SARS.

I must commend the efforts of the Inspector General of the Nigeria Police for His swift response in deleting the monstrous SARS and replacing it with SWAT.

I now want to join the Youths to say No to SWAT because it’s just a change of name. I also believe that the same officers that were in SARS formation will also be deployed to SWAT unless the IGP will say otherwise.

All we need now is a total reform of the entire police force.

The NPF should know that we suppose to have more than 101% confidence in them. They need to build our trust in them by first dressing smart and looking presentable. They should also under go courses on best global practices on how to police.

I want the IGP to reform the entire police force and not just only the SARS/SWAT formation only.

Thank you all Youths
Thank you IGP
Thank God

Freedom does not come so easily, Everybody wants freedom but few desire responsibility. Little do they know this two things go hand in hand. We are indebted to our National Hereos both dead and alive, who show some sense of responsibility to make this country gain freedom.

As patriotic citizens, let us put extra effort to perform our own civic rights and responsibilities.

Our diversities should not be seen as a weakness but as our strength. It is only by working together that we can build a resilient Nation.

Let us think of something we can do for our Nation to make it a place of wealth, Peace and happiness.

We should not also forget that Nigeria is 60 today, a child of 60 is no longer an adult rather it’s old.

In the civil service rule, when you are 60 years old of age, you retire from the service.

Nigeria is 60 and it’s due to retire from bad leadership, ethnic bigotry, religious bigotry, corruptions, sub-standard projects, electoral Malpractices, power failures etc.

We wish to beg the good Lord to please retire all the bad leaders and bad followers both at the Public and Private sectors.

We also beg the good Lord to show our leaders that our roads are dead trap and we can’t praise 6hours electricity light a day and that our leaders should please return Discos back to PHCN, return refinery from Europe back to Nigeria and return our senses from back to front.

I am wishing you all a Happy Diamond Independence Day both Nigerians home and abroad.

Assalamualaykum Brethen,

I want to congratulate you all for witnessing another new Hijra (Islamic Year) 1442AH. Happy new year.

Before we celebrate we need to think about the last year that just passed. What was our relationship with our creator? Were we able to attain those things we planned attaining?

Now we are in another new year, we should endeavor to renew our relationship with Allah, let’s drop some bad habit and pick up a new one.

Let’s not also forget again that as a year passes by so we are also drawing closer to our grave, as we celebrate we should remember that we are a year closer to our grave and may this new year bring us joy.

Election of Edo State is right close to us, I beg all youths to shun violence and embrace peace, “election no be war”, it is only when you are alive you will enjoy the good Governance you are fighting for.

Thank you all and stay connected with your creator.

Happy new year.
