Heat protectants are usually liquid substances that work to shield hair strands from damage by creating a barrier that protects hair strands from extreme heat from styling tools like curling irons, straighteners and blow dryers.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN STYLING HAIR WITHOUT HEAT PROTECTANT.
When one styles hair without heat protectants,
▫️As a result of the exposure to excessive heat, the colors on the hair strands begin to fade quickly.
▫️The heat causes the protein found in hair to break down, thus causing the hair cuticles to open up and eventually, the hair starts to frizz up.
▫️As a result of the excessive heat, the moisture in hair is lost and this leads to dry and brittle hair strands.
Therefore, it is important that You never use a flat iron or any heat styling tool without a heat protectant otherwise, you're in for a hair disaster.
