Father, thank You for granting me the opportunity to see this month! Thank You for waking me up this morning. Thank You, Lord, for giving me life and strength! Thank You for watching over me and my family throughout April, for giving Your Angels charge over us.
I worship You and give You all the glory.

My Father, hear my voice this morning. Let the purposes for which You gave me these 31days be established in my life, in the mighty name of Jesus!

All glory, all honour, all adoration belongs to You. You are the Alpha and Omega, the great Oracle that I consult, You are the Pillar that holds my life, You are magnificent in holiness. You ordain the sun to rule by day and the moon and stars to rule the night. Father, receive all the glory! I salute Your excellency!

I thank You for making me see this wonderful new month of grace! I thank You, Lord, for what You did the previous months. I thank You for protecting and granting me victory over every seen and unseen battle throughout last month, for guiding me by day and by night.

I confess any sin of disobedience that I committed knowingly or unknowingly. I plead for mercy and forgiveness. My Lord, have mercy on me and forgive me. I receive power to overcome sin, aI declare that sin shall not have dominion over me.

This month, God's plans for me will surely come to pass because my future is in His hands. His divine purpose for me will stand, I declare that I am blessed and highly favoured. I am created in God’s likeliness. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

In May, I embrace all the good things God has prepared for me, and I am ready to receive every good and perfect gift from above. I open my mouth wide and will taste the goodness of God. I decree that Iam loved, accepted, and wanted; I am precious in God’s eye. My name is engrafted in the palm of God’s hand, and I am good enough.

This 5th month of grace and favour, my family and I are protected throughout the day because God watches over us and protects us. God’s glory covers us, and goodness and mercy shall follow us everywhere we go.

In the 31days of this month, I am strong because God renews my strength daily. With every breath that I am able, I will declare the goodness of God no matter what happens. God has blessed the work of my hands. He gave me the wisdom, stamina, and skills to do my job. I will excel in all I do at work and at home.

As we celebrate democracy day this month, I declare that I am a responsible citizen of of this nation, I will live true to the Christian core values and the principles of Christ! O Lord, heal our nation of unrest, hardship, inflation, kidnapping and bad governance, I decree that Nigeria is free from violence, and criminal activities, the atmosphere of my city is filled with God's glory, my city is conducive for my businesses to thrive, my ministry shall thrive, my relationships will flourish, my loved ones will excel, in the mighty name of Jesus!

In May we celebrate children, therefore, my children are blessed, they are oaks of righteousness, I will not cry over them, I destroy any satanic manipulation or plot designed to foil God's original purpose for their future, especially in their correct time and season, in the mighty name of Jesus!

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

*LET’S TALK*
“Mum, why do we always pray for leaders of the nations?” asked Helen.

“Well, the Bible tells us to pray for them. Also, remember that the devil tries to manipulate these well-meaning leaders to do evil things. It’s important we pray to stop his influence over them,” her mum explained.

In Acts 13:6–12, there’s an interesting story about Barnabas and Paul’s missionary work in Paphos. While spreading the word of God in the city, the deputy, Sergius Paulus, wanted to hear from them. However, one of his influential officials—a false prophet and sorcerer—tried to interfere with their mission. But Paul, recognising Elymas’ harmful intentions, confronted him and said, “At this very moment the hand of God’s judgment comes down upon you and you will be blind—so blind you won’t even be able to see the light of the sun” (Acts 13:11 TPT). Suddenly, the man went blind and backed off!

Sergius Paulus was wise, but he didn’t realise the negative influence Elymas would have on him, as he was planted by Satan. Therefore, in praying for the leaders of your city, state, or country, remember that there’re times Satan plants his own people among them to distract them from hearing the Word and from getting to know God. Therefore, using the Name of Jesus, break the power of Satan over those who work with leaders and seek to influence or counsel them to go against the will and purposes of God.

Furthermore, command the devil to lose his grip over their minds so the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ would shine unto them. Affirm that their hearts are open to receiving the Gospel willingly, and, as a result, righteousness springs up in their hearts and the wisdom of God guides their thoughts. Glory to God!

*PRAY*
Father, your desire is for the leaders and peoples of the nations to be saved and for your righteousness to rule their hearts and guide their thinking. I pray that your Word will have free course, be glorified, and have prevailing power in their lives, effectively cutting off every negative influence from among them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:30-31).

‭The term "wait upon" is translated from the Hebrew word 'qâvâh', signifying to "gather" or to "bind together" perhaps by twisting. It's comparable to twisting ropes together to form one braided rope. Contextually, therefore, "wait upon" might not be the most accurate choice of words in translating what the prophet Isaiah said in that verse.

For example, when you read the creation story in Genesis 1:9, the same Hebrew word 'qâvâh' is used when God commanded the water below the sky to come together in one place so that the land will appear: "And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be GATHERED TOGETHER unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so."

Also, in Jeremiah 3:17, where the Scriptures emphasized the idea of people being united or bonded together, the same word is used: "At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be GATHERED unto it...."

So, when Isaiah 40:31 speaks of those who "wait upon the LORD", a more accurate understanding would be those who are "gathered together" or those who are "bonded together" with the Lord; they shall renew their strength. What does this tell us in the light of the New Testament?

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:17, "...he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." Now, you can understand why the Holy Spirit has come to live in you; you and the Holy Spirit have become one in that rich fellowship. It's a "bonding together" as it were.

We've been brought into oneness with divinity; it's an inseparable union. We're in Him, and He is in us. Glory to God! This is the reason we can enjoy rich fellowship with Him in prayer—praying in tongues—and be reinvigorated through and through. We've been brought into a communion, a place of relationship, a oneness of spirit. Hallelujah!

You ought to enjoy that fellowship every day; it's not something you go into and come out of, for you're in Him, and He's in you.

*PRAYER*
Dear Father, thank you for my inseparable oneness with you, which gives me the privilege and awesome blessing of constant fellowship with you. As a result of this deep communion, I'm strengthened, energized and continually afire to serve you, live for you and fulfil your purpose for my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

REPEL WORRY

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? (Matthew 6:25)

Today’s memory verse is one of my favourite scriptures. That’s because it’s exactly the way my life is: I don’t worry about anything!

God doesn’t want you to worry about anything too. That’s why He says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers” (Philippians 4:6 TLB). This is how to handle the worries that come to your heart.

So, don’t let anything make you worry or sad. What’s that thing you need, tell the Lord about it in prayer, and His peace will fill your heart! Hallelujah!

*LET’S TALK*
*“Lord Jesus, you’re my Rock, my refuge; in You, I find peace, strength, and protection. You are my wisdom and the source of my righteousness, the unshakeable foundation on which I stand,”* sang Audrey as she strolled home from church. These song lyrics flowed from her lips amid the tears streaming down her cheeks; in spite of her present troubles, she’d received empowering words in church to confront the challenges and emerge victorious.

Like Audrey, there are several young people today faced with situations and circumstances. However, the only hope that works is Christ—the Word of God—the rock of our salvation (1 Corinthians 10:4). Anything that’s founded on Him is eternally fortified and unshakable.

It brings to mind the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:24-27. He said, *“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it”* (ESV).

That’s how your life is when you live in the Word of God. This is your heritage as one in Christ. You’re unconquerable. All things work together to produce blessings for you! You’re divinely protected because Christ is your rock and your fortress. It doesn’t matter the fiery darts and tempest from Satan; you’re unflustered and unscathed. Build your life, ministry, finances, academics, your relationships—all your endeavours—on the Word, and they’ll never crumble. Hallelujah!

_*But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20 AMPC).*_

What the Bible says in Isaiah 40:31 needs to be properly understood. It says, _*"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength..."*_ Some have read this and ran off with the notion that to be constantly energized, strengthened or invigorated spiritually, you have to "wait on the Lord"; in other words, fast for a protracted period.

Well, fasting is an important spiritual exercise, but someone can fast for 40 days and 40 nights and still not have their strength renewed. In the New Testament, the Lord provides us a sure and effective means to be constantly rejuvenated and invigorated spiritually: being filled with the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:18-20 says, _*"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."*_ This is the answer. Stay perpetually filled with the Spirit, studying and speaking the Word, and praying in tongues. When you do this, you're constantly energized.

Paul tells us, _*"He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself..."*_ (1 Corinthians 14:4). In other words, when you speak in tongues, you're invigorated, revitalized, refreshed, energized and edified. There's a transformation in your life, and your spirit is conditioned for success, excellence, prosperity and victory.

When you speak in tongues a lot, the words of Jesus in John 7:38 become your everyday reality: _*"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."*_ What a blessing it is to be able to build up yourself like an edifice, formidable and able to withstand anything and win always as you pray in tongues.

*I'm invigorated, vitalized, refreshed, energized and edified even now by the Spirit as I speak in tongues. My inner man is built up strong, and I constantly walk in dominion over all adversities and the adversary; out of my belly flow gushers of living waters, words of salvation, healing, power and strength, in Jesus' Name. I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency. I do not tire or wear out. I do not get weak and I don’t faint because I wait on the Lord daily. My strength is renewed daily by the Holy Spirit and I am vitalized, invigorated, energized, and refreshed for all things. I live in unending peace, prosperity, health, success, and greatness because I live in the Name of the Lord Jesus. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is preserved and sanctified; separated from sickness and death. My blood, organs, tissues, tendons, ligaments, and joints are functioning perfectly. There is no abnormality in me because I manifest God’s perfection. I am the crowning beauty of all God’s creation; the consummate perfection of His works! My life is full of loveliness and excellence because the Holy Spirit beautifies me.

I am immune to satanic attacks. I’m disease-proof! I am without blemish. There is no room in my life for anything that is not of God. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all the hardships, troubles, perils, and corrupting influences of the world. No infirmity can pe*****te my environment, for I am divinely protected from every fiery dart of the devil and his cohorts. I have a life that cannot be tainted by sickness, infirmity, or affliction. I cannot be poisoned, I cannot be destroyed. I’m a partaker of God’s divine nature and nothing has the power to hurt me because every weapon of the adversary against me is designed to fail. Wholeness, perfection, success, and prosperity are constant with me because Christ is in me.

I refuse to subject myself to circumstances and situations that are contrary to the Word of God concerning me. I have eternal life. I am a testimony and the inheritor of the blessings of Abraham through my association with Christ. I’m Abraham’s seed. I’m an heir according to the promise and a joint-heir with Jesus. I’m blessed in the city; I am blessed in the field, and in my going out and in my coming in! There’re no accidents or mishaps on my path, for I walk in preordained pathways of blessings! Goodness and mercy follow me everywhere I go, and I have the supernatural grace to excel in all my endeavors. I refuse to be a victim but a victor, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
