How do you know if you have a cyst in your o***y? Let me give you some tips to help you identify if you have a cyst..

Often times, ovarian cysts do not cause any symptoms. However you can have these signs has the cyst grows...
These signs includes

1. Abdominal bloating or swelling
2. Painful bowel movements
3 Pelvic pain before or during the menstrual cycle
4. Painful in*******se
5. Pain in the lower back or thighs
6. breast tenderness
7. Nausea and vomiting.

We have some sever symptoms that may indicate immediate medical attention.

1. Severe or sharp pelvic pain
2. Fever
3. Faintness or dizziness
4. Rapid breathing.

The symptoms above can indicate a ruptured cyst or an ovarian torsion.

My next post will address what Ovarian Torsion is and what it means for a cyst to be ruptured.

Ovarian cyst can be caused by 2 different condition.

It can either be
1. Endometriosis Or
2. Polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS).

Endometriosis is an underlying condition that occurs when pieces of the tissue that line the womb (endometrium) are found outside the womb in the fallopian tubes, ovaries, bladder, bowel, va**na or re**um. Blood-filled cysts can sometimes form in this tissue.

2. Polycystic o***y syndrome also called (PCOS) is a condition that causes lots of small, harmless cysts to develop on your ovaries.

The cysts are small egg follicles that do not grow to ovulation and are caused by altered hormone levels.

These are the 2major causes of Ovarian Cyst.

Today I promised to take through the types and kinds of ovarian cysts.

Majorly, ovarian cysts are classified according to their relation to a womanโ€™s menstrual cycle. While some develop as a result of your monthly blood flow, others donโ€™t really have anything to do with it.

So these are the two broad classifications.
The first type of ovarian cyst is the functional or ovulatory cyst which I discussed briefly in the last post. It is completely normal for every woman so long you menstruates. These kind of cysts arenโ€™t harmful, have no symptoms, and go and on their own within a few weeks.

Normally, your ovaries grow cyst like structures each month called follicles. These follicles produce two powerful female hormones in estrogen and progesterone and release an egg when you ovulate. In a particular month, if a normal follicle keeps growing, it is known as a functional cyst.

Functional cysts have two different kinds: the follicular and the Corpus luteum.

Follicular cyst occurs when a follicle, a small sac that stores an egg and produces female hormone estrogen, doesnโ€™t release the egg during ovulation, but instead continue to grow.
As for corpus luteum, after every release of the follicle during ovulation, the empty sac shrinks.

However, when the sac does not shrink, Corpus luteum cyst forms in the O***y. Corpus luteum cysts can form when the empty follicle sac doesnโ€™t shrink after ovulation. The sac becomes sealed off and starts to get filled with fluid.

Generally, most functional cysts are 2 to 5 centimeters which is about 3/4 of an inch to 2 inches in size. Ovulation happens when these cysts are around 2 to 3 cm in size. However, some may reach sizes of 8 to 12 cm (around 3 to 5 inches).

There are other kind of cysts not related to the womanโ€™s menstrual cycle. They include dermoid, cystademonas, and endometriomas.

Dermoid cycsts are also called teratomas.
They are saclike growths on the ovaries that can contain different types of tissue, such as skin, hair, and fat. These kind of cysts are often asymptomatic, although they may cause symptoms and complications if they become large. They are actually a kind of ovarian tumor. They are almost benign and are often present from birth but can grow during a womanโ€™s reproductive years.

Dermoid cyst grows slowly, progressing at a rate of about 0.07 inches per year, though it has the potential to become large. In rare cases, we can have giant dermoid cysts which can be over 15 cm (about 6 inches) in diameter.

Another one is cystadenomas. They are noncancerous and develops right on the surface of the ovaries. They can be filled with a watery or mucus-like liquid. When viewed from an ultrasound, a cystadenomas often look like a functional cyst but however, while functional cysts typically go away after several menstrual cycles, a cystadenoma will continue to get bigger. They can become quite large (up to 30cm), while some can be around 1 to 3 cm (roughly half an inch to 1 inch).

The last one is the endometriomas which is a condition where the cells of the uterine lining grow outside of the uterus. These grows into tissues which can attach to the surface of your o***y and form a cyst. This type of cyst is formed due to endometriosis. According to studies, between 17 and 44 percent of women with endometriosis will have an endometrioma. These cysts are sometimes called chocolate cysts because they can contain thick, dark blood that gives them a brownish color.

Endometriomas are typically small, but like other cysts, they can come in a range of sizes.

Now that you are fully aware of the types and kinds of ovarian cysts out there, let us proceed further and understand the causes, what the symptoms are usually like (so you can take swift action), among many other things.

At No More Cysts, our commitment remains helping as many women as possible eradicate ovarian cysts through organic solutions.

Few months ago I was having a conversation with some friends, and being a victim of a cruel ovarian cyst before, I sought to educate them on the dangers so that they can continually look out for themselves.

To my surprise they took it as though I was just sharing my ugly experiences all over again. I was surprised, but we all laughed on. Just few weeks ago, one of them reached out to me. She complained of lightheadedness, rapid breathing, and abdominal pain that somehow sync with vomiting.

To be sincere, ovarian cyst wasnโ€™t the number thing that came to my mind. Many other things came across my mind.
Pregnancy.
Abortion.
Peak stress.
And others.
To our rude shock, less than twenty minutes with the gynecologist and sheโ€™d been schedule for an ultrasound same day. The result came out and both ovaries had been enraptured with cysts. The doctor explained to her that the chronic, one-off lower abdominal pain is as a result of โ€œtorsionโ€ meaning the twisting of the ovaries as a result of the cysts (Iโ€™ll explain later).

Well, you could tell that all my friends started to take ovarian cysts serious starting from that day. I use to tell those close to me, โ€œYou are only permitted not to take ovarian cysts serious if you donโ€™t have ovaries.โ€

Do you have ovaries? Of course, Iโ€™m sure you have. (Lol)
If youโ€™re reading this right now as a woman or a man who loves the women in his life, you have to take this ovarian cysts of a thing very serious. The case is becoming rampant these days. Ask any medical professional close to you and theyโ€™ll confirm it.

If you really care about your wellness, please pay attention to it.
You see, eggs (ova), which develops and mature in the ovaries, are released in monthly cycles during childbearing years. Thatโ€™s what you and I calls menstruation. Most ovarian cysts develop as a result of this process of menstrual cycle. These kind of cysts are called functional or ovulatory cysts.

Other types of cysts are less common.
Functional or ovulatory cyst is completely normal. It forms every month during your ovulation before your period. They arenโ€™t usually harmful, have no symptoms, and typically go away on their own within a few weeks.

Tomorrow, Iโ€™ll take you through the types and kinds of cysts so you can be aware when you or someone around you encounters it.

Whether you think of yourself as beautiful or not, whether you are tall, short and round, black or colored, lanky and slant-eyed, or you are that endearing princess that catwalks here and there with the grace of a cat.

No matter what best describes you in your own opinion or where the society tries to tuck you into, if you are a woman, you have two ovaries.
Yes, two ovaries. I suppose you know that already since you were little, so that makes it more interesting.

The ovaries are part of the female reproductive system. Somewhere on your lower abdomen, below your navel, on both sides of the uterus (the way you see it in diagrams), the two ovaries are located. These ovaries produces eggs as well as the hormones estrogen and progesterone which are essential female hormones.

Sometimes, a fluid-filled sac called a cyst will develop on one of the ovaries. It is proven that many women will develop at least one cyst during their lifetimes. In most cases, these cysts are painless and cause no symptoms. Majority disappears without treatment within a few months.

However, ovarian cysts, especially those that have ruptured, can cause serious symptoms.
Generally, ovarian cysts are in different sizes which can be from 1cm to 8cm or more. Most of them are noncancerous and are majorly caused by hormonal changes or hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, or conditions like endometriosis.

This is something every lady needs to know.
Have you recently had a dull or sharp ache in the lower abdomen on the side of the cyst? Do you presently, or at some points recently feel fullness or heaviness in your lower abdomen? Are you familiar with occasional bloating?

If yes, you might have a case of a large ovarian cyst or cysts in your hands.
