ROLE AND IMPACT OF DAYYABU GARGA FOUNDATION TOWARD IMPROVING THE LIVES OF OUR SOCIETY IN KANAM LGA AND BEYONG:

On 23 October, 2020 a prestigious organization was presented with Co-operate Affairs Commission (CAC) Certificate to carryout a humanitariant development.

The organization was founded by a selfless person who has good reputation in our community in person of Dr Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, the current Executive Chairman of Kanam local government, Plateau State.

The mission of the foundation is as follows:

-to help orphanages
-to help less previleges
-to promote educational development in our society
-to help poors or vulnerable people
-to support and help people with disability.

Dayyabu Garga Foundation created is a none profitable organization base because the man Dayyabu Yusuf Garga is person single handedly financier of the organization except if people with clean and good heart want to partner with him toward such gigantic projects.

Dr Dayyabu Yusuf Garga is an international business tycoon, he established the foundation to enable him contribute his qouta toward improvement of our youth and women for empowerment, providing acquisition skills, scholarship and small entrepreneurship so that youth will be self dependants, not to relay on government or anybody.

In one of his remark or address Dayyabu Garga enlighted people that they should stop depending on government because government alone can not give job or take care of all of us, we must look for something else for our lifelihood survival.

Since the establishment of the organization it has been making significant and remarkable I development in Kanam LGA where it trained youth on furniture business and other skills program, paying scholarship to students, settling bills of patience in the hospitals, extending his blessed hand to vulnerable people with cash to buy food stuff and feed their families,

We call on other chariterble and none profitable organizations eg AY shehu Foundation, SOS foundation, Gagdi Foundation etc to put head together and collaborate with one another so that to establish a solid and fantastic organization that will be recognize internationally.

Plateau - 15 persons killed in night attack on two communities

About 15 persons have been killed in a fresh attack in Bwai and Chisu communities of Mangu local government area of Plateau State.

Our correspondent gathered that the incident occurred in the late night of Tuesday when residents had gone to bed and the attackers stormed their communities, burning some in their homes as well as set their properties ablaze.

Citizen Bamshak Ishaya said, "Some people were killed by Fulani militias at a Community Leader's house in an attack at Chisu village on Tuesday night at about 11:00 pm.

The COCIN RCC Church in Bwai which is along the Mangu-Bokkos road was also burned along with houses, vehicles and tricycles. People in the Chisu community heard sporadic gunshots and ran to the residence of their community Leader, unfortunately, the house was set on fire, and 11 burnt bodies have been picked up this morning while the search is still ongoing.

"At Bwai, apart from the Church, houses around the market were also burnt and a woman who sleeps in her shop was burnt too. We are not sure if there are others that are yet to be discovered."

The Interim Management Committee Chairman of Mangu LGA, Mr. Markus Artu, told newsmen on the phone that the incident happened but he has no details yet.

His words, "I am gathering the pieces, I am going on an on-the-spot assessment of the situation, we have conflicting reports coming, the security agencies said there was an attempt to attack but it was repelled but again, some other people are telling stories. I heard that they attempted to burn the Church but it was repelled I don't have the facts, whatever I heard is speculative as soon as I have them, I will let you know."

The Member representing Mangu South Constituency in the State Assembly, Mr. Bala Fwangje also confirmed the incident saying, "Around 11 pm, we had a call that herdsmen came into Chisu and Bwai, this morning we heard that about 14 people were killed, houses destroyed, property burnt. I am yet to get the full details."

However, the State Police Command did not confirm the incident as the Police Spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo did not pick up his call at the time of the report.

GOVERNOR LALONG CONGRATULATES NEW SGF AND CHIEF OF STAFF

Former Governor of Plateau State and immediate past Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated Senator George Akume on his appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Similarly, the former Plateau State Governor has congratulated Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the President.

Lalong described the appointments as well deserved and expressed confidence that the appointees will bring to bear their experiences and dept of knowledge in assisting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deliver on his Renewed Hope Mandate.

He said the track records of the appointees lends credence to the fact that they bring on board capacity and competence towards ensuring that the new administration meets the aspirations and yearnings of the people.

"SHUN PARTISAN POLITICS" GOVERNOR SIMON LALONG ADVISES TRADITIONAL RULERS AS MISHKAHAM MWAGAVUL GETS 1ST CLASS STAFF OF OFFICE

Governor Simon Bako Lalong has asked traditional rulers in Plateau State to shun partisan politics and concentrate on uniting the people and sustaining peace in their domains.

Lalong who spoke during the installation and presentation of first class staff of office to Da John Putmang Hirse as the new Mishkaham Mwagavul, Mangu Local Government warned traditional rulers to shun politicians who want to use them to create division, acrimony and violence in their domains for their selfish political interests.

The event which took place at the Mangu mini stadium had in attendance dignitaries from all over the country including APC Vice Presidential running mate Senator Kashim Shettima, Yobe State Governor Maimala Buni, APC Deputy National Chairman Sen. Abubakar Kyari and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase among others.

Lalong while congratulating the Miskaham Mwagavul for ascending the throne of his forefathers, said the new traditional traditional ruler has a very enviable record of service within his community, Plateau State and Nigeria which gives anticipation that he will excell in the onerous assignment.

He said "Let me advise His Royal Highness and all other traditional rulers to be careful of their conduct and utterances during the political season. You must remain apolitical and demonstrate that you are fathers to all. Resist every attempt by politicians to drag you into their scheming, maneuvering and desperation to get power using ethnicity, religion and other sentiments. Pray for them and admonish them to convince the people and play by the rules of the game. Anyone who chooses to leave his duty and dabble into politics will have himself to blame".

APC NATIONAL YOUTH LEADER VISITS GOVERNOR LALONG

APC National Youth Leader Comrade Dayo Israel has visited the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State Simon Bako Lalong at the Government House, Rayfield Jos.

The APC Youth Leader told Governor Lalong that he was in Jos as part of youth mobilisation for the APC towards success at the 2023 General elections.

He said during his visit, they had a several engagements with youth leaders from the 17 local government areas of Plateau State where they mapped out strategies for a robust and successful campaign.

Governor Lalong welcomed the youth leader and his team to Plateau State and assured him that the youths will play a great role in the campaigns for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as well as other candidates of the party across the nation.

Lalong asked the youths to be ready to mobilise for the flag off of the APC Presidential Campaign billed to take place in Jos.

GOVERNOR LALONG MEETS JEDCO MANAGEMENT; TASKS THEM ON ADEQUATE POWER SUPPLY

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has challenged the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDCO) to work hard towards ensuring that power is extended to the central and southern Districts of the State.

The Governor was speaking when the management of JEDCO paid him a visit at the new Government House, Little Rayfield Jos.

Governor Lalong who appreciated the visit of the new Managing Director Engr. Bello Abdu Muhammed, said lack of power has been a challenge to the industrial development of the State particularly in the areas of agro processing.

He said the State Government has continued to work with the Federal Ministry of Power, TCN, and the distribution company to ensure that all obstacles are removed towards connecting the whole State to the grid.

He assured the MD of his support towards ensuring that power is distributed adequately and throughout the State.

In his remarks, Engr. Bello said his visit was to formally pay courtesy to the Governor and intimate him about his assumption of office as well as seek his support.

He told the Governor that he has been briefed about the power challenges facing the Government House which he said will be addressed in conjunction with the relevant staff of the Government.

Engr Bello also promised to support the Government towards connecting more towns and villages to electricity as a way of boosting economic activities.

DAYYABU GARGA: AN OUTSTANDING LEADER.

Great leaders live and leave noble and indelible footprints that goes far beyond their existence. Any leader can start something, any leader can do anything but, the real hallmark and a great measure of a great leader is not necessarily what happens now but, what happens later.

The noble works of a true and a great leader stand the test of time and never vanish over time. Hon. (Dr). Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, is a leading leader who is not just an adherent of democracy but also a legacy layer in all strata of leadership. A man who believes and listens painstakingly to the yearnings of the populace, a man who stands for the poor and a man who stands for the malnourished.

A leader like Dayyabu Garga who eschews lies and deceit is needed to go thither and speak for the poor, malnourished, the voiceless, the talakawas and those who wail in penury.

This is a resilience leader with a LION heart who speaks nothing but the TRUTH no matter how bitter and intense the gravity might be. He has chosen to speak only the truth. Visionary, pragmatic, truth speaking, true representative of his people and the nation at large are some of the vital virtues in him that are worthy of emulation by every other Democratic leader in Nigeria and beyond.

I sincerely pray for him, good leaders stand for relevance and they are never afraid to face the facts head on. Bad leaders see the problems, close their eyes and do something else!.

The Executive Chairman, Kanam Local Government Council, Hon. (Dr). Dayyabu Yusuf Garga, Galadiman Jhar Of Jhar Chiefdom has distributed 400 bags of rice and 40 Rams to Kanam Local Government Area citizens. The Council Chairman noted that tomorrow's Eid-el Adha(Sallah) ought to be celebrated by all households across Kanam Local Government Area.

It is in view of this that he, in his usual magnanimity distributed bags of rice and the Rams to the Staffs, Elected Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Special Advicers, Senior Special Assistant, Special Assistant, Political groups, Religion group and other Women and Youth Groups Of Kanam Local Government Area.

Chairmen and heads of groups received the items on behalf of their members.

Hon.Dr.Dayyabu Yusuf Garga has been elected First Deputy National Vice Chairman of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers of the National Union of Petroleum And Natural Gas Workers Union of Nigeria,NUPENG.

The election which came up during the national convention of the union in Ibadan,Oyo State saw to the emergence of the plateau born Dayyabu Garga clinching the second highest office of the union in Nigeria.

Additionally,he has with another responsibility as Director of Operations to over see and coordinate its daily activities across the thirty six states of the federation including the FCT.

Speaking to newsmen after his emergence and swearing in at the well attended convention,Dayyabu Garga who is also Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council thanked Almighty Allah as well as people of plateau state for the prayers and support he received.

DAYYABU GARGA DIRECTS APPOINTEES TO COLLABORATE WITH ELECTED OFFICERS,ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL VOTER REGISTRATION.

In other to keep to the directive of his The Excellency Governor, Simon Bako Lalong declaring monday and tuesday next week as work free days in Plateau State,Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council,,Dayyabu Yusuf Garga has directed all appointees of the LGA to move down to the grassroots and mobilize unregistered voters so as to have a smooth exercise.

He has further directed them to work in close synergy with elected and other stakeholders to ensure people are educated and mobilized on the need to have their permanent voters cards as the next general elections approaches.

Thus he has also directed staff of the Local Government Council to utilize the period granted by Government to register or ensure they are up to date with their registrations by addressing any other issue they have with their PVCs as that will guarantee their participation in choosing leaders tomorrow.

According to the Council Chairman "We cannot allow this opportunity to slip off our hands as His Excellency The Governor has harkened to the cry of electorates in the State by granting this request,Kanam is one LGA that from reports still has quite a number of people that have not registered,have reached voting age or have one or two issues to rectify in respect of their PVS as such we are working closely with INEC to see that the exercise is successful in Kanam.I will keep a close look and create the enabling environment for the agency to attend to our people seamlessly".

He added that he will personally lead a team that will supervise the event within the two days specified by Government.

He called on religious and traditional leaders to further educate their subjects to cash in on this opportunity and get registered as it is also a civic duty towards entrenching good governance in our society.

Dayyabu Garga called for mass sensitization to citizens of Kanam to know that the exercise is not a fresh registration rather a continuous one for those who had never been registered or those who may have issues with their registration processes warning that double registration will be detected by the machines and such person's votes rejected by the machines during voting.

He then warned staff that the authority will not condone those who would not take advantage of this window period but only to begin exempting themselves from work under the guise of going to get registered saying such acts will not go without appropriate sanctions.

This much talked about a highly celebrated personality in whom many are well pleased has tossed into the minds of not only people of Kanam but the nation at large.

Without delay, I grasped the idea of preparing myself to reveal to the world, the leadership ability, competency and volume of a man whose sense of sacrifice towards the service of mankind is enormous and driven with honesty, purpose, transparency, fear of God and love for humanity.

The factors aforelisted necessitated me to believe that I would be willing to spend decades preaching the exemplary character of our leader, Hon. (Dr). Dayyabu Yusuf Garga

Again, I must state, these much courtesy are not founded upon short time experiences. They are the result of careful analysis of the leadership capability of one of the greatest politicians Plateau State has known.

HIS EARLY LIFE

To grok the character of Dayyabu Garga, one must go back to his civil life, and the kind of upbringing he had.

Dayyabu Yusuf Garga was born into a well decent and highly respected family. He was privileged to have acquired both Western and religious knowledge. Along his journey, Hon. Dayyabu Garga strive hard to ensure he did not only attain knowledge but also make acquaintances, powerful networks, strong connections, tones of experiences which developed him into one of the pragmatic geniuses of time.

As someone born into an average family, he had to take on responsibility way beyond anyone in his shoes. But this hardly affected his weltanschauung spirit, his polished discipline, and his constant good cheer madeu him the tittle he is now.

Perhaps, because of his own struggle to sustain a better life through perseverance and humane disposition, he became obsessed with finding solutions which lead him to become an entrepreneur. Of course Dayyabu Yusuf Garga was an integral successful known entrepreneur.

These struggles were sufficient to have discouraged anyone in his shoes from making any attempt to carry out this desire. But his' was no ordinary desire. his faith, his fecund desire, his persistence and imagination were the real ingredients that helped him reach this "Apogee" which other’s weaknesses denied them ...

Politics which is termed as the Methodology and Activities Associated with running a Government or an Organization has been transmogrified today by some guiles, stained, missionless and dirty Politicians who use such position to better their lives at the expense of their fellow citizens. Such doings are practically total deviation of good leadership and the legacies of our heroes who fought murderously hard and won for this Nation Independence in 1960.

In our world today, politics is described as a corrupt trade and dirty profession laced with fraud and malversation. However, as the Situation is, there are still virtuous politicians like prophets and messiahs, who bestride the whole world. Those are the epitome of upright, resolute, determined and outstanding in service to humanity.

My subject; Hon. (Dr). Dayyabu Yusuf Garga is one of such fewest virtuous leaders per-excellence.

Hon. Dayyabu Garga has consistently identified representative democracy in his personal life and in line of duty. A wealth of evidence in his current administration is enough to prove this. Many people across the length and breadth of the Nation have always objectively attest to the fact that he is an extraordinary, dynamic and visionary leader.

My dear friend of mine, suggests his sense of mission, before swinging into politics as the vehicle to his moral commitment.

Most importantly, his sterling leadership qualities, demonstrated by his all accommodating ambiance, his deference for the traditional institutions and his open door policy, endeared him to the people and stands him out as a young leader making his marks in the anals of the history of Kanam Local Government Council, Said Gov. Simon Bako Lalong Of Plateau State.

More pertinent, nevertheless, is the submission of a scholar when he posits among other things, that he is the most significant and productive Chairma Of Kanam Local Government has ever produced.
