Why does your home gas smells? — The odour you perceive when you switch on your nob is not gas but a smell that is actually added to the gas for safety measure so that you will know if there is a leak.

This man passed through me one day and I perceived a strange odour. The stench was so much that I knew it was not normal. Something was following him, which led to the strong foul smell.

I was in the company of some friends standing at the entrance of the estate. We were waiting for another of our friends to join us before leaving. So, I could not talk to the man.
As he passed us, the smell lingered. In short, for a few days, I kept perceiving it until it faded away.

The following week, I met him again outside the estate, but not at the exact spot. It was the smell that alerted me of his presence. A foul smell filled my nose and I looked around, to find him passing by.

Something in me asked me to help him.

"Hey, Man!" I called him.

He turned towards me. I greeted him and he responded, giving me that look, "Have I met you before?"

Do I say yes in this case, since I had seen him before? Anyway, it was immaterial to the issue at hand.

I smiled at him to keep him at ease. As he smiled back, thick darkness enveloped him. Then, I saw something like a giant at his back. It was so huge that I had to look up before I could see its face. This giant was the source of the smell. It was not only ugly, but also dirty.

"Don't worry, you don't know me. I just saw you and decided to talk to you. Can we move to that spot so we can talk properly?" I pointed at a shaded area nearby.

He fidgeted but gave in when I smiled again, releasing a harmless demeanour. He followed me, regardless. The giant walked behind him as we moved to the place.

Funnily enough, I never knew what I was going to discuss with him because I hadn't got the signal yet. As I led him to the shaded area near the place I met him, I used the opportunity to search my spirit to know what his problem was. Before we stopped, I got the information I needed.

It was the spirit of déath.

"Why do you choose to steal?" I asked the man, who was still uneasy about the whole thing.

He was taken aback by the question. But instead of denying it, he threw back, "How did you know?"

"Does it matter?" I countered.

"No. But it's odd to see a stranger accusing me of something only a few people know."

He went further to explain how hunger had made him start stealing. He lost his job a few years ago and could not get another one until he decided to use the night as his day.

What was your occupation?" I asked him.

"I was an employee in the corporate world until our company downsized. I was one of the affected ones. The money paid to me was duped by some unscrupulous online business people. So, instead of staying idle, I found a better way around it."

"Stealing? Is it a good way?"

He could not answer me.

"Anyway, I see you ordering a gun?"

He was shocked by my revelation. But I ignored him and continued. "I see you not living beyond next week, as well. You already planned a robbery attack with some guys, right?"

He stared at me and asked if I was a prophet and I answered no.

"Well, it's your choice to live or not. However, I see the spirit of death hovering around you." I continued by asking him, "Have you noticed a strange odour around you of late?"
He had become sober by now and could only nod, meaning I was right.

"The odour is from the spirit world. You will not survive the robbery you are going for."

I gave him an hour of my time and allowed him to speak about his fears of the future, his experiences in life, and why he chose a negative vocation. In the end, I advised him to start doing a menial job. At least from there, he would grow. By the time I finished talking, I noticed the giant shrinking away.

However, it was still faint and the odour lingered. About two months later, on a Sunday evening, I met him around the market, off the estate.

He was looking warm and cheerful. There was no foul odour around him anymore, and neither did I see the giant. He told me how he got a job in an eatery as a supervisor and was on his off day that Sunday. Although the pay was little, he was proud to be gainfully employed.

He also said his gang went ahead with the robbery, even when he advised them against it. Unfortunately, the four of them were gunned down by the security operatives parading the area of their robbery destination that night. He said he would never be involved in causing pain to another person.

People don't understand that spirits follow people around whenever it's their time to dié.

Always strive to live a positive life because spirits enjoy a dirty vocation. Some people even utilize some of these spirits to help them do evil. But it's not the scope of Victor Firdance. Unfortunately, there is always a consequence to every one of our actions.

Strive to live right, regardless of your experiences. A spirit may be following you about for destruction if you live wrong mostly when your chi doesn't support it.
