1.0 This is to inform the general public, most especially candidates wishing to seek admission into the various National/Higher National Diploma (ND/HND) Programmes tenable at the Directorate of Continuing Education of the Polytechnic that sales of Admission forms have commenced on-line.

3.0 ENTRY REQUIREMENTSi. Candidates for HND Programmes should possess good National Diploma (ND) in relevant field, awarded by Federal Polytechnic, Bida or any other Polytechnic or College of Technology accredited for the award of such National Diploma by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). In addition, the candidates should possess a minimum of five (5) credits in the relevant subjects at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings.

ii. Candidates for National Diploma (ND-II Special) Programmes should possess Ordinary Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of five (5) credits in the relevant subjects at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings.

iii. Candidates for National Diploma Programmes should possess a minimum of five (5) credits in the relevant subjects at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings.

iv. Candidates for Diploma in Microfinance Management should possess a minimum of MERIT in Certificate in Microfinance Management OR a minimum of five (5) credits in the relevant subjects at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings OR any other similar or suitable qualification.


v. Candidates for Certificate in Microfinance Management should possess a minimum of four (4) passes in the relevant subjects at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two (2) sittings.

vii Candidate for Diploma in Law should possess a minimum of five (5) credit in the relevant subjects at O’Level including English LANGUAGE AND Mathematics in not more than two (2) sitting.

viii Concessional Admission may be granted to candidate(s) with less than five (5) credits and will be expected to sit and pass his/her O’Level before graduation.

4.0 DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
i . National Diploma (ND-II Special Programmes) WEEKEND shall run for Six (6) semesters. In two (2) years.
ii. The Higher National Diploma (HND I) WEEKEND Programmes shall run for two (2) semesters.
iii. . Diploma in Microfinance Management shall run for three (3) semesters, while Certificate in Microfinance Management shall run for two (2) semesters, both in one (1) year.
iv. Lectures for WEEKEND shall be conducted during Weekends (Fridays and Saturdays).

5.0 APPLICATION FORM GUIDELINE
STEP 1: Visit the application portal (www.fedpolybida.edu.ng).
STEP 2: Register (New users only) using your personal E-mail address.
STEP 3: Check your email INBOX or SPAM to retrieve your login account.
STEP 4: Revisit the apply portal and log in with your account, E-mail and password.
STEP 5: Click Submit and follow the rest of the guide in the portal.
6 .0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
All applicants must purchase the Polytechnic Admission Form online by using different options of payment as described on the portal, and pay a sum of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000.00) only (Excluding transaction charge) to the Federal Polytechnic, Bida. All payments options of REMITA (i.e using MASTER, VERVE and VISA ATM cards and generation of RRR to pay cash in the bank) must be made through the application portal only. After which, the link to fill form would be deactivate.

7.0 THE CLOSING DATE FOR SALES AND SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED ONLINE FORMS IS 30TH OCTOBER, 2017.

ENTRY QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT
The minimum entry requirements for Higher National Diploma Programmes for specified field are:-

a. The National Diploma (ND) in the relevant programme with minimum of Lower Credit in the field of interest and (5) Relevant Credits at SSCE, NTC, GCE, WAEC, NECO, NBC or NABTEB level.

b. A minimum of one (1) year Post National Diploma (ND) cognate working experience (Industrial Training).

c. All Graduands (Except that of Federal Polytechnic, Bida) are to send Transcripts of their National Diploma under confidential covers to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Bida to ease consideration of their admission requests. Graduands of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida must
present original statement of result at the point of screening.

2.0 NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

The Polytechnic also runs Two (2) year full National Diploma (ND) in all the above listed programmes including Nutrition & Dietetics and Science Laboratory Technology.

Interested applicants should apply through JAMB and sit for UTME in the relevant subjects. Only candidates who meet the JAMB cut-off mark shall be considered for admission.

Entry requirements for ND Programme include a minimum of Five (5) CREDIT passes of SSCE, NTE, NECO, WAEC, GCE, NBC, or NABTEB at not more than two sittings.

3.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION
All applicants must purchase the Polytechnic Admission Form online by using different options of payment as described on the portal, and pay a sum of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000.00) only (excluding transaction charge) to the Federal Polytechnic, Bida. All payments options (i.e using MASTER, VERVE and VISA ATM cards and generation of RRR to pay cash in the bank) must be made through the application portal only. After which, the link to fill form would be deactivate.

4.0 STARTING DATE
Sales of form commence from 2nd of May, 2017.

PROCEDURE
STEP 1
Go to First Bank Plc or any commercial
bank branches nationwide (Access Bank,
EcoBank, Guaranty Trust Bank, SkyeBank,
KeystoneBank, UBA, Mainstreet bank,
Union bank, Zenith Bank, Unity Bank or
FinBank) to make payment for the Fedbida
(Regular) PRE-ND and HND Online
Application forms for N5,000 (Five
Thousand Naira only). After payment, the
Teller will generate for
you a PIN (Confirmation/ Receipt
Number). This PIN will be required to
complete your registration in the portal.
NOTE: Please also collect and keep your
payment teller.
STEP 2
Go to a cybercafe and Browse to Federal
Polytechnic, Bida online form site and
register. Click this link => http://
apply.federalpolybida.edu.ng
STEP 3
Simply sign up by entering your First
Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email
and any Password of choice (this field is
entered twice) and click the Register
button.
NOTE: Make sure the email address
supplied is valid/accessible to you.
STEP 4
A verification and New account creation
message titled Email Confirmation will be
sent to your email address. The email
message contains a link, login to your
email, open the message and click that
link. If you cannot see it in your inbox,
check in the spam. If it is not in either,
wait for some time and it will be
delivered. After clicking on the link, you
will get a success message.
STEP 5
Log in to the portal by clicking this link =>
apply.federalpolybida.edu.ng/Account/
Login. Enter the Email and Password in the
appropriate fields. Then click the Login
button to display the Application
Activities page.
STEP 6
Click on the Apply button in front of HND
APPLICATION FORM 2016/2017 to
display the form. Fill the form
appropriately. The form is in stages, and
you can go back to previous stages if you
must.
(NOTE: asterisk fields are compulsory).
STEP 7
Click the Save and Continue button to
proceed to the next stage, until the last
stage when you will be shown the
payment gateway. The default payment
type, Etranzact Nigeria has been selected.
Click on Continue to Payment button.
STEP 8
Enter the Confirmation Code and Receipt
Number in the appropriate fields as
obtained from the bank. Click the Submit
button.
Wait a while to receive a successful
confirmation response from the server. In
case of failed/unsuccessful payment
response, please make sure the right PIN
information is supplied.
STEP 9
In case you couldn’t finish, the portal will
save all the stages you have completed,
and when you come back, all you need to
do is click on the Resume button on the
righ-hand side of the Application
Activities page.
STEP 10
Print your form at the end after the
payment confirmation and logout from
the portal.
SUBMISSION OF
DOCUMENTS
You need to change the Bank Teller for
the Etranzact Payment at the school’s
account office to Payment Receipt. Then,
you are required to submit two copies of
the following to the admission record
office:
1. Application Form Print Out.
2. Payment Receipt
3. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
4. Certificate of State/LGA of Origin
5. O/Level Result
6. IT Letter (if you have completed your
IT).
