When you put on something (like a cloth), it is what people see. So if your actions and lifestyle shows Christ then you have put on Christ.

It is very important to recall that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks Matt 12:34.
Hence, we should ensure that we fill our thoughts with Christ (set our hearts on things above Col 3:2) and automatically what we do or say will show Christ.

𝙼𝚎: "𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚒𝚜𝚗'𝚝 𝚒𝚝 𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚎?, 𝙸'𝚖 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚍𝚘𝚗𝚎"

𝙶𝚘𝚍: "𝚃𝚒𝚝𝚞𝚜 𝟹: 𝟷 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝟸"

I remember when I first read the Scripture, it made me conscious of what I said. I was being cautioned on all the times I had jokingly, in annoyance or in the heat of the gist aired the dirty laundry of people around me. Times I've said things true or exaggerated that painted another person bad.

But, at that point I never thought of how far that Scripture actually went.

❓Wasn't He just talking about friends and family?
❓Did He also mean does who "deserve" it?

I don't know about you but this is going to be something I would need God's help. 🙏🏾
𝗧𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗜 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁.

Philippians 2:3 Don't be selfish; don't live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.
Philippians 2:4 Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing.

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀

From offering out your chair🪑, to sharing your meat 🍖, to praying🙏🏾 for those on the street, to giving 💲 to those in need, to preaching 🗣to someone, to helping a stranger carry load🧳, to paying someone's bus 🚌ticket, to helping someone who isn't really doing well at work👩🏽‍💼, to helping someone else get that promotion🎖, to not winning that argument........

There are soo many ways to do this.

𝙻𝚎𝚝'𝚜 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚍 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝙲𝚑𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚝 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜.

Have you ever been in those situations where you are trying to show people the light of Christ and they aren't getting it? It seems like the more you talk the more the have a negating remark or worse still, they agree but won't accept. I know it can be very frustrating😫. Eventually, we sometimes come up with "strategies" to win them over or just give up. 😖

𝟮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝟬:𝟭-𝟱 made it explicitly clear that our way to win "t̲h̲e̲ ̲b̲a̲t̲t̲l̲e̲ ̲o̲f̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲ ̲s̲o̲u̲l̲s̲" isn't the way the world wins wars.

We 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗻 the battle ⚔ against flesh (strongholds or wrong mindsets, ideologies or theories) 𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀:
👎🏾deception, lobying, arguments, enticement, bribery, manipulation, exaggeration, giving the people what they want.

But 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱'𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘆, because it:
📍is mighty.
📍demolishes the entire idea.
📍accurately brings people into alignment.
Our way is
👍🏾 Love, Faith, Righteousness, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Prayer, God’s word, Joy. Check out Eph 6:13-18, Gal 5:22-23 for more.

It doesn't resemble they way of men and sometimes it may seem silly and complex but remember it is powerful and 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗪𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗡

No more has to be said, read again and let the Holy Spirit guide you into obedience.

Remember:

📌 God is still in the business of making us perfect. So don't let the result of the test weigh you down but rather let the knowledge of who the examiner is and your faith in Him build you up

📌 Pray for others that they may pass the test.

I wish I could show you how I imagined this. But this is AWESOME!!!!

It isn't over yet.
All this the Father does by "His riches glory" which makes it occur.

Its WED-nesday, I think what I learnt today came at a perfect time.

Someone asked recently, whether they would be tribalism and racism in heaven, like would we say "Ah this is my Edo brother, welcome"? Would we be able to identify people based on tribe and race?

Ephesians 2: 11-22, makes it clear that Christ through His blood broke down the divisions.

In my Journey through the Scriptures, I have discovered one amazing thing God longs for us to be ONE. Just like the Father, Son and Spirit are one.

So, it's God and the Church.
Two wonderful entities, made up of various parts. A PERFECT RELATIONSHIP

So, if one of Christ's objectives was that we all could be one in Him. Why are we still divided❓

Don't be too quick to say I am not like that❗️Take time to think. 🤔
Yours may not be tribe. It could be race, affluence, knowledge, class, location, denomination, appearance, culture, level of spirituality, school you graduated from and soo much more.

Ask yourself, am I okay with certain people worshipping God with me, eating with my family, marrying into my family, or do I still see people based on their outward appearance forgetting how Christ sees them❓

I ain't talking about believer and unbeliever relationship. I am addressing we believers.

The world should only has one division: Follower of Christ or not. Even this, God does not want to exist, so why are we like this.😭

So, take time to pray yourself and the Church today. Pray for Unity 🤝

Galatians 5

The 𝐋𝐚𝐰 📚vs 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 ❤

Even from the emoji's you know which is better 😁. Or do you 😏

Both are equally important but can only be achieved 1⃣ way.
It's simple.

God made us 🆓, He gave us His life
Now we live because of Him.
All you have to do is continue to walk in Him 🚶🏾‍♀

Still confusing😣
Okay let me make it simpler

Have you ever adored someone soo much that you see yourself becoming like the person.
Or have you've seen a little child 👶 who just does everything his dad 👨 does.
You see those videos of those little kids trying to help their parents clean because they see their parents clean.

T͢h͢a͢t͢ i͢s͢ w͢a͢l͢k͢i͢n͢g͢ i͢n͢ t͢h͢e͢ S͢p͢i͢r͢i͢t͢.
Well not exactly, it's a whole lot less disastrous. None of us would accidentally wash a laptop instead of a plate 😂😂😂😂

Let me use a better example

A child whose dad is a chef 🧑‍🍳 naturally sees himself going to the kitchen and joining his dad to bake some goodies. 🥐🍔. The food comes out awesome because His dad helps and the child comes to join willingly in the first place just out of pure adoration of the dad's craft. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞
Fast forward to when He is a teenager and his hormones for some reasons tells him to have issue with his dad. That baking he once loved becomes a chore and sometimes it comes out tasting like 🥴 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐰

✅Love makes you do stuff whether you want to do it, know how to, or even have that ability. It let's you walk in the Spirit i.e be like God and hence fulfil the law

❌Whereas, the law, makes you try to do it, out of anger or fear, and the worst part you are not really able to fulfil it.

So in summary, focus on Loving God, and the Law will follow. You would thus fulfill His instruction in Galatians 5:25

Let's talk a bit about Law. ⚖

The entire book of Galatians is basically Paul lamenting about the Galatians deliberation on whether or not to following the Law.

You will wonder what is so wrong in wanting to follow th law. 🤔
What's so wrong in resting on Sunday 🥱 or pasting scriptures in your house or blessing God after you eat 🥙or giving a certain amount of your income to the poor 💲 or dressing modestly especially when fasting or closing my eyes and kneeling to pray 🙏🏾 or in the case of Galatians circumcision?

Well, I have come to tell you there is absolutely nothing wrong! 😕

So why the book of Galatians 🤨

Well, the thing is Paul's issue wasn't that they wanted to be circumcised, I mean He himself circumcised Timothy (Acts 16)
His issue was WHY THEY WANTED to be circumcised 😯

1⃣
Many times we are so focused on getting "points".
We are workers ✅
we fast ✅
We pray ✅
We attend every service even mid-week services. ✅✅

The issue isn't what we are doing but why. It's like we are keeping tally 📝.

Our relationship with God has now become
"I did this, I am this, so you have to do this."

Instead of
"Lord, I trust in your ability and love that you will give me this"

It isn't that bringing out your strong points is bad, David and Hezekiah did it. However, they did the actions out of love ❤ not thinking of when they can use it.

2⃣
Some of us we aren't even doing good because we want to earn something but because we don't feel clean 🖤 so we think our good deeds will fix it 🤍

Paul was crying out to the Galatians.

"STOP TRYING TO EARN YOUR SALVATION!!!!" 🗣

God saved you without your effort, He is able to keep you to end without it all He requires is that you trust Him to do so. Galatians 2:20 - 3:25

All a seed needs to grow, is to remain in the soil and trust the farmer to all all necessary to make it grow.

So take out time to think
Are my actions out of FAITH
or is FEAR?

Hello Everyone!!!

2 Corinthians, Chapter 4
The reality of salvation hit me different. I didn't know when tears formed in my eyes 🥹. I must share it with all.

Verse 3 - 6
Paul says if anyone doesn't belive the Gospel, its because they are veiled by the god of this age. They are heading in the direction of destruction and the light that saves they can't see because some 'god' won't let God's light blot out the darkness.

I thought to myself
⁉why me?
⁉How did God's light shine through me?
⁉What did I do different from those who don't belive?
⁉Why did I get to experience the light that reveals the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ?

No matter how much I think. 🤔

I did nothing!

I mean Paul annd Cornelius could say at least they were zealous and God turned their energy to the right thing.

But I did nothing. Infact if its based on my action I have defiled Gods temple, hurt others, demeaned His capability and yet.

He let me into His family. 🤭

I AM GRATEFUL🙏

I don't know about you but this gift of salvation I ain't letting go of it.

🙌I pray for all those the god of this age is holding bound that the grace (undeserved help) that I experience may you experience it to.

🔊To those who have been blessed like me. Its our job to do all we can no matter the cost, just like Paul described in the rest of the chapter, to ensure that all we can humanly do to let them see the God's light. We do.

In Corinthians now. I would love to share something with you

Spiritual wisdom
1 Corinthians 2:6-16

Paul explains that the wisdom he shares is not what is known as wisdom. In fact it wasn’t even obvious till the Holy Spirit revealed it.🔎

How it works 🔬:

1. God has the wisdom
2. Spirit is in God (in on the mystery 🤐) so He knows it
3. Christ comes
4. We believe in Christ
5. The Spirit comes in us
6. We know what God knows

Mystery revealed 😉🔓
Wisdom gained 🎖

Now it gets interesting🤠

Natural wisdom
- Comes from without. Taught with words

Spiritual wisdom
- Comes from within. A nudging, a knowing

And now the upper hand 💪🏽

Believers have both natural and spiritual wisdom. So I can RIGHTLY DISCERN AND EXAMINE circumstances.

💫I can tell that what seems like a simple gift from someone is actually meant for harm.
💫I can tell that the person who gave all he has is going to be rich.
I know which is really which

On the other hand 👎🏽

A natural man can’t do this.
He isn’t as wise as He thinks. He can’t discern because He doesn’t have the Holy Spirit. If by some weird way he gets the information, he will just call it foolish.

And just like that! We are wiser👑

Lesson:

Stop listening to the world without
Focus on the Spirit within
You will never get it wrong

Yes I know you have heard this a thousand times but what does it actually mean.🤔

Firstly the why!
Because that’s the only way you can put to death the flesh Rom 8:13

Now how!
1. Be Spiritually minded. It’s that simple. Set your mind on things that concerns Christ.
Voila! ✌🏽

Paul was so happy in Rom 7:25-8:1
Thank you Jesus because of your solution - set your mind on him YES even when your flesh is still doing wrong.
Glory to God because now the law can’t condemn me I.e cant sentence me to death.

Hold on! Hold on! ✋🏽🛑
I know I got confused to. Is Paul it’s cool to keep sinning as long as I set my mind on Christ?

Because it is the Spirit that gives the freedom and life. So walking in the Spirit can only work if I HAVE THE SPIRIT.

I would love to share 🗣something I learnt a while back.

I was reading the book of Romans again (I think it just might be my favorite 🤩 book 📖 )

Alright, so Paul has been talking about how everything with God is now about faith and not works and I wsa like “yeah I know this”. How does it apply to me now 🤔🤨

And then it hit me 🔨Holy Spirit revealed 🎉

EVERYTHING WITH GOD IS ABOUT FAITH NOT WORKS

So my fasting, long prayers, study, evangelism, fellowship. It isn’t to move God.

It is for me. TO BUILD MY FAITH

and it is that faith that God needs from me

So it’s not my long prayer that gives me the ability to heal the sick. NO
It just builds my faith.

And it is THAT FAITH THAT GOD NEEDS TO USE ME TO RAISE THE DEAD

I am yearning for intimacy with God because I get to know Him more and hence build my trust in Him and Hence build FAITH

Often times we (me and probably you) are in this state of anxiousness.

Fill free to complete the sentence as it fits you.
“God you said that……”, “there is this prophecy on my life…..”, “I had this dream……”, “your word says that…..”, “you promised…..” “isn’t it your will that…..”

However, the truth is if it’s HIS WILL, it WILL HAPPEN.

Galatians starts with reminding us that salvation is God’s will and it came to pass. Hallelujah 👏🏽

God’s will was for Paul to preach to gentiles and when it pleased Him, it came to pass.

Imagine if Paul’s mother had a visitation from an angel telling her who Paul was to be. Won’t she have lost all hope as her son was fulfilling everything but that?
Yet, at the right time, his story changed.

As if that’s not enough, we sometimes worry on the how of it. “How am I supposed to……..” “How is…….going to be” “but I don’t know…..” “I have no…..”

Glory to God 🥳 today I was reminded that - God has the power to reveal.
Paul learnt in a short while what the apostles learnt in years.

My fellow brethren, I don’t know what it is that has got you all wrinkled, but remember these two things:

1. As long as it’s God’s will, it will come to pass.
2. God is able and will reveal all needed to accomplish His will.

Rejoice in this knowledge 💃🕺🏽💃🕺🏽💃🕺🏽
