The registrar, Dr. Abubakar Mamuda, and the management team of Federal University Gashua paid their respects and condolences to His Royal Highness, the emir of Bade, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Suleiman, following the tragic loss of three members of the Bade community in a recent clash between the military and community members.

The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Damaturu branch, led by its chairman, Ya'u Kaku, has presented condolences and sympathy to the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Gashua, Professor Maimuna Waziri, over the recent fire incident in the University's female hostel.

The Chairman of Bade Local Government, Honorable Ibrahim Babagana, and that of Jakusko Local Government, Honorable Alhaji Umar Aguwa, were at the office of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Maimuna Waziri, yesterday to condole and sympathize with the University community over the recent fire outbreak which claimed the life of Shamsiya Murtala.

The management of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Nguru, led by the Medical Director, Professor Hadiza Usman Abdullahi, paid a condolence and sympathy visit yesterday to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Maimuna Waziri, and the University community over the recent fire incident in the female hostel of the institution.

The Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) sent a delegation led by their Damaturu zonal officer, Hajiya Maryam Ahmed Dogona, to offer condolences and sympathy to the University for the loss of Shamsiya Murtala, who tragically passed away due to a fire incident in the female hostel of the institution.

Governor Buni Presents Relief Materials to Victims of FUGA Female Hostel Fire Incident

The Yobe state Governor, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, has today, Friday through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), presented relief materials to victims of the recent fire incident at the female hostel of Federal University Gashua (FUGA).

Presenting the items to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Maimuna Waziri, the SEMA, Bade Focal person, Abubakar Danjuma Yabaze, said the materials include blankets, mosquito nets, mattresses, wrappers (wax prints), detergent, soaps, and sanitary pads.

Receiving the items, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Maimuna Waziri, thanked the Yobe State Governor, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, for his timely intervention. She described the governor as someone who is always passionate and ready to support his people in all situations.

While extending her appreciations to the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, (SEMA), Dr Mohammed Goje, for the agency's swift response, the VC assured that the materials would greatly aid the affected students.

The Chief Imam of Jamiu Mallam Garba Mai Tafsiri Juma'at Mosque, Imam Abdulhadi Suleiman (Abu Niass), was earlier at the Vice Chancellor's conference room to offer sympathies and condolences to the University over the recent fire incident in the female hostel of the institution.

Today, Alhaji Aji Saleh Suleiman, the Yobe state director of the First Aid group of Jama'atul Nasril Islam (JNI), headed a delegation to offer sympathies and condolences to the University following the recent fire incident. He was joined by representatives from the Bade Division of the organization.

Officials from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Damaturu, visited the University to offer condolences and express sympathy to the University management.

The National Chairman of the Council of Ulama of the Jama'atu Izalatul Bid'ah Wa'Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) Jos National Headquarters, Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, was yesterday represented by the Deputy Chairman of the Gombe state Ulama Council, Ustaz Bashir Umar Kashim, along with members of the Bade Ulama Council, to offer prayers and condolences to the University following the recent fire incident.

A delegation from Yobe State University Damaturu (YSU), headed by Deputy Vice Chancellor for Central Administration Dr. Bukar Jamri, has delivered a letter expressing sympathy and condolences to Vice Chancellor Professor Maimuna Waziri regarding the recent fire incident.

We urge all members of the university community and the public to disregard this fake memorandum. The information contained in it is not valid and should not be relied upon.

Furthermore, please be informed that the university remains closed until further notice. Any official announcements regarding the academic calendar or any other matters will be communicated through official university channels.

A delegation from the Yobe State Government, led by the honorable Commissioner for Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Professor Bello Kawuwa, visited the University today to offer condolences and sympathies to the Vice Chancellor and the University management regarding the recent fire incident. Also accompanying them were the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, directors, the Provost of the College of Education, Gashua, and other management staff of the college.

Yesterday, the Chief Imam of Mallam Saleh Mai Tafsiri Juma'at Mosque in Gashua, Sheikh Goni Sagiru Ibrahim, also visited the Vice Chancellor's office to offer prayers and extend sympathy to the University management following the recent fire incident at the university's female hostel.

His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr) Bashir Albishir Bukar Machinama, the Emir of Machina, has today paid a condolence and sympathy visit to Federal University Gashua following the fire incident that occurred in the female hostels, resulting in the tragic death of Shamsiya Murtala. He also made a cash donation to support the victims.

The National Council of Women's Societies (NCWS) paid a sympathy visit to Federal University Gashua (FUGA) today and offered their condolences to the university management over the tragic loss of Shamsiya Murtala in a hostel fire incident. The team was led by the Bade LGA Chairperson, Hajiya Habiba Daura, who spoke on behalf of the Yobe state and the National Executive of the organization.

FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved 300-level student of Geography, Shamsiya Murtala, at Federal University Gashua. Shamsiya's life was cut short today as a result of the devastating fire incident in the female hostel.

We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our sincerest condolences to Shamsiya's family, friends, and all who knew her. She was a bright and promising student, known for her dedication to her studies and her vibrant spirit.
