The ELA Initiative is a Non-Governmental Organization based in Nigeria.
We were
founded in 2019 to protect and promote the human rights and dignity of Nigerians
through Education, Legal aid and litigation, and Advocacy.

We have successfully secured the unconditional release of Mr. Umar.
Our Legal Team interviewed Mr. Umar during our visit to Kirikiri Medium Custodial in January where we decided to take up his case on a pro-bono basis.
