HOW DOES PAST QUESTION HELP IN JAMB PREPARATION?
Past questions can be extremely helpful in preparing for the Jamb (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) exam in Nigeria. Jamb past questions can give you an idea of the type of questions that will be asked on the exam, the format of the questions, and the level of difficulty. They can also help you identify the topics that are most likely to be covered on the exam, and allow you to focus your study time accordingly. In addition, practicing past questions can help you get a feel for the time constraints of the exam and improve your time management skills.

WHAT ABOUT JAMB RUNS?
Most times it's good to have plan B
When you read it's good to back it up with something
So that's where jamb runs comes in

Mole is the amount of substance of a system which contains as many elementary entities as there are atoms in 0.012 kilogram of carbon 12. its symbol is MOL

(1b)
(CHOOSE ONLY ONE)
(i) Incomplete combustion i.e less oxygen for combustion produces a mix of carbon, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and water.
(ii) Carbon monoxide (CO) & Carbon particles (soot)

(1c)
(i) Dispersion (weak).
(ii) dipole-dipole (medium).
(iii) hydrogen (strong).

(1e)
Condensation Polymerization: It is form of a step-growth polymerization where smaller molecules or monomers react with each other to form larger structural units (usually polymers) while releasing by-products such as water or methanol molecule. The by-products are normally referred to as condensate.

(1f)
(i) 2-methyl propane.
(ii) 3-Chlorobutanoic acid.

(1g)
(i) The oxidation number of iodine in the potassium periodate molecule is 7.
This molecule is ionic which means that the periodate ion has a charge of 1- in order to balance the 1+ charge on the potassium ion.
Since the oxygen molecules combine for an oxidation number of 8 (4×2=8) this gives us a total oxidation number of 8−1=7
(ii) Let, X be the oxidation state of bromine in HBrO

+1 + X + (-2) = 0
1 + X − 2 = 0
X − 1 = 0
X = + 1
Hence, the oxidation state of Br in HBr03 is +1

(1h)
(i) Cathode rays consist of negatively charged particles. When cathode rays are subjected to an electrical field, these get deflected towards the positively charge plate i.e. Anode. We know that a positively charged body would attract only a negatively charged body, therefore the particles of cathode rays carry negative charge. Cathode rays also get deflected when these are subjected to a strong magnetic field. The electrons in the cathode rays would deflect toward the positively charged plates, and away from the negatively charged plates.
(ii) It shows that cathode rays consist of material particles having mass and velocity.

(3ai). Electrode potential is defined as the potential of a cell consisting of the electrode acting as a cathode and the standard hydrogen electrode acting as an anode. Reduction always takes place at the cathode, and oxidation at the anode.

(3aii) * It is used to measure the relative strength of different oxidants and reactants.
* Standard Cell Potential Value is calculated for various chemical species.
* Used to predict if certain chemical species will react with each other and to what extent that reaction will be.
* It is used to predict the point of equilibrium in a chemical reaction.

(3bi). Law of Compound Composition states that in any particular chemical compound, all samples of that compound will be made up of the same elements in the same proportion or ratio.

(3ci) Na>Mg>Al

(3cii).
I) Na
II) Al

(3d). Addition of chloride ions to a suspension of PbCl2 gives rise to soluble complex ions as shown :

PbCl2(s)+Cl−→[PbCl3]−(aq)
PbCl2(s)+2Cl−→[PbCl4]2−(aq)

(3ei). One of the main reasons for classifying organic compounds by their functional groups is that it also classifies their chemical behavior.

(3eii). Ethene gas, C2H4, reacts with water at high temperature to yield ethyl alcohol, C2H6O.

To start the process of preparation of oxygen in a laboratory, hydrogen peroxide is poured into a container that is conical in shape and contains some manganese oxide inside it. After that, the gas which comes out of it is collected in another container that is upside down and filled with water. Once the oxygen reaches the container filled with water, it pushes the water out of the container and the oxygen remains inside. This gas collecting container can also be substituted with a gas syringe to collect the oxygen produced by this method.

The panel of judges, accurate time keeper, my co-debaters and all protocols duly observed.

I, (Write your name here) is standing to propose the motion which says "a person without education has no future in today's world" with these following points of mine.

Firstly, education is a vital component of success in today's world. It provides individuals with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities that are necessary to thrive in both personal and professional life. With the increasing pace of technological advancements and globalization, the demand for educated individuals has never been higher. In an economy that values knowledge-based skills, those without education will face significant challenges in securing well-paying and fulfilling jobs.

In addition to improving employment prospects, education has been shown to have a profound impact on a person's life in numerous other ways. It has been linked to better health outcomes, such as higher life expectancy and lower rates of poverty. Education also provides individuals with the tools necessary to adapt to an ever-changing job market and opens doors to new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

While it is true that education is not the only factor that determines a person's future success, it is an essential component. Without education, individuals may miss out on opportunities to achieve their full potential. They may also be limited in their ability to understand and engage with the world around them, which can have a negative impact on their quality of life.

To conclude, a person without education does have a future in today's world, but it is likely to be more challenging and limited than for someone with an education. Education provides individuals with the tools necessary to succeed in today's complex and rapidly changing world and is a crucial component of personal and professional success.

Request for Increased Focus on Other Sports. (Use that heading)

Dear [Minister of Youth and Sports],

I am writing to express my concern about the current emphasis on football by the government to the detriment of other sports. As a sports enthusiast, I believe that it is important to recognize the value of all sports and to provide support for athletes in a variety of disciplines.

My first reason for this request is related to the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles. Encouraging participation in a variety of sports can help individuals lead healthier and more active lives, which has numerous benefits for both physical and mental well-being. By focusing too heavily on football, the government may be missing out on the opportunity to promote other sports that can have a positive impact on the health of our citizens.

My second reason is related to the development of new talent. While football is certainly a popular sport, it is not the only one that has the potential to generate new talent and provide opportunities for athletes to excel. By focusing more on a range of sports, the government can help to identify and develop new talent in other areas, which can lead to increased national success in a variety of disciplines.

Finally, promoting a diverse range of sports can help to build a more inclusive society. Sports have the power to bring people together and foster a sense of community, regardless of background or abilities. By focusing too heavily on one sport, the government may be missing out on the opportunity to promote a sense of inclusivity and to encourage participation in sports from all individuals.

In conclusion, I strongly urge the government to re-evaluate its focus on football and to place greater emphasis on promoting a range of sports. By doing so, the government can help to promote healthy lifestyles, develop new talent, and build a more inclusive society.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Ojo.

Dear Ade,

I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to reach out to share a recent experience I had at the game reserve and to extend an invitation for you to join me this year.

Last year, I had the opportunity to visit the game reserve and I must say, it was a truly remarkable experience. The reserve is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and many more. The guided tour was not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable as we got up close and personal with these magnificent creatures.

In addition to the wildlife, the reserve also offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, making it the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodations were top-notch, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment in which to recharge and reconnect with nature.

Given the wonderful experience I had last year, I would love for you to join me this year. It would be a great opportunity for us to catch up and make some new memories together.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining me. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Warm regards,
Ojo.

Some years back, in a small village called Umudim. They were constantly threatened by a fierce lion. The lion would come and eat up farm animals. The presence of the lion was a risk to the lives of the villagers especially the children.

Whenever this lion comes to the village, everyone would be notified by the town crier to stay indoor.

This harassment kept on going for months. The villagers lived in constant fear and desperation. They have sought for help from the government but they kept deaf ear.

One faithful day, the king called a general meeting to tackle the issue of this lion. He asked for volunteers but no one agreed to face the lion. Even the warriors were afraid of death. This is because, this lion had killed Anajemba who was the best warrior they had. Anajemba confronted the lion the previous year, resulting to his untimely death.

During this session with the king, a young man named Emeka, a nineteen years old boy, whose father was a hunter, stepped forward and volunteered to kill the lion. The villagers were skeptical, as they had seen their brave warrior, Anajemba tried and failed to kill the lion in the past.

Emeka has been hunting with his father. He has learnt many skills on hunting because he starting hunting with his father as a little boy.

Emeka was determined. He spent weeks training and preparing for the battle, and finally, the day came. Armed with his sword and shield made from a branch of iroko tree. He set out to face the lion.

The battle was intense and lasted for hours. Emeka was badly injured, but he refused to give up. With all his strength, he delivered the final blow, and the lion fell to the ground, exhausted and helpless. He cut off the head.

The villagers were shocked and overjoyed on his return with the lion's body parts. They had never seen such bravery and determination in their lives. They lifted Emeka up on their shoulders and hailed him as their hero.
It was the greatest act of bravery they had ever witnessed.

From that day forward, Emeka was remembered as a legend, and the village was finally at peace, free from the terror of lion.

*HOW TO CHOOSE UNIVERSITIES AND FACTORS ALL JAMBITES SHOULD CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING INSTITUTIONS*

If you are a 2023 JAMB Aspirants, just pay attention to this information, as it will help you a lot….

Remember that during JAMB registration, you will be asked to choose 4 institutions which comprises of “First choice” , “Second choice” , “Third choice” and “Fourth choice”.

*1ST CHOICE INSTITUTION:*
Here, You are expected to chose either a federal or State University, but I will advise that You choose a federal University if you are not a type that is financially buoyant.
You can pick schools like UNN, UNICAL, OAU, UI, UNIPORT, UNILAG and other federal Universities in Nigeria.

*2ND CHOICE INSTITUTION:*
In your 2nd choice, choose either a state-owned university or a polytechnic. In this part, you MUST not choose any federal universities especially UI, OAU, UNN, UNILAG and others, because no matter what you score, you wont be allowed to write the POST UME exam. You can pick schools like EKSU, OOU, DELSU and for polytechnic; YABATECH, Ibadan Poly, Ilaro Poly and others.

*3RD CHOICE INSTITUTION:*
The option of schools in this category is not much, but you can just pick the one that best suit your taste based on location and tuition fee.

*4TH CHOICE INSTITUTION:*
In this category, you wont see any university here, you will see Vocational institutes like PEFTI institutes, Computer Programming institutes and others.

Now i am sure you already have idea about what choosing a university or institute in the four categories look like. The question you should now ask yourself is

_*1.* which school is the best for me?_
_*2.* Which school will be easier for me to get admitted based on the look of things?_
_*3.* Which school will have adequate facilities for my course of study?_

_THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING AN INSTITUTION_

*1. ADMISSION PROCESS OF THE SCHOOL:*

Every schools have their method of processing admission. Some use the screening test calculated from your JAMB score and O’level result, some use POST UME and JAMB score to calculate your screening test, while some use only your POST UME score, so whatever way, you should be able to know the one which suit you well.

*2. COMPETITIVENESS OF THE SCHOOL:*

Generally, all top federal universities are competitive ranging from 30,000 to over 40,000 aspirants choosing a particular school competing for minimum slot ( survival of the fittest).
So, if you are applying for any federal School like UNN, get ready for admission competition.

*3. SCHOOL CALENDAR:*

As an aspirant, You are yet to know that Schools in Nigeria Doesn’t have a uniform Academic Calender.
Most times, some schools are ahead of another schools with one semester or less. You won’t like to be at home while your friends in other schools are almost done with first semester.

*4.CONDUCIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT:*

Not all universities in Nigeria are conducive for learning, instead they are like burden to the students. Make sure you make some findings on the school facilities like their hostel, lecture room, equipment and others.
And Lastly;

*5.LOCATION OF THE SCHOOL:*

I intentionally save this for the last because students are fond of choosing a school very far from their home, someone living in lagos is studying in abia state which is ought not to be. When choosing a school, consider your safety when traveling to such destinations.
