MF IPAKODO POWERED BACK TO WATERWAYS WITH NEW ENGINES, IMPROVED SPEED, SAFETY AND COMFORT
. . LAGFERRY PROMISES TO CONTINUOUSLY MEET PASSENGERS' NEEDS FOR PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE ON INLAND WATERWAYS.

In its bid to meet the yearnings of its passengers for speed, safety and comfort on the inland waterways and ensure water transportation as a reliable alternative mode of transport, the Lagos State Ferry Services (LAGFERRY) has powered back to life one of its big and passenger prefered boat, MF IPAKODO; with the installation of new high powered engines to ensure speed, safety, comfort and zero carbon emission for sustainable environment.

The 40 seating capacity passenger boat - MF Ipakodo, was purchased in the year 2019 with an installed 250HP, 4-Stroke Yamaha Outboard Engines. The boat is now fitted with twin 300HP 4-Stroke Yamaha Outboard Engines with a guarantee of professional support from CFAO Yamaha Nigeria as our Technical Partner and generally retroffited for passengers' comfort and safety.

Speaking on the benefits of new improved MF Ipakodo for the passengers and momentum build-up for the Water Transportation industry, the Managing Director, LAGFERRY, Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun, stated that the boat which has always been a preferred choice of commuters, particularly for the traders, students, corporate executives and leisure seekers for its comfortable seats and space is now enhanced with more speed to get passengers to their destination in quick time and dazzle on the waterways on cruising assignments.

"The passionate commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to achieving the seamless multi-modal transport system of Rail, Road and Water for Lagos State informed his decision to make steady investments for the procurement of new boats, ensuring regular maintenance of the boats, rehabilitating and constructing modern terminals/jetties, channelization of routes, dredging of and removal of wreckages from the waterways".

While informing that the boats are handled by competent Professional Seamen and Women who are regularly trained, Balogun stated that government is constantly enhancing the capacity of LAGFERRY to ensure it delivers on its mandate as encapsulated in the THEMES+ Agenda of this administration which has at its fulcrum, Traffic Management and Transportation.

The Ajegunle-based socio-political movement—ALALUBARIKA NATION, has commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for restoring Ajeromi-Ifelodun political victorious status after 12 years hiatus by nominating Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun as a cabinet member.

Mr. Sanwo-olu sent a list containing the names of his executive cabinet nominees to the Lagos State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation a few hours ago. The list which had Alli-Balogun’s name was a mixture of youth, women, politicians and technocrats, according to the Lagos State Government.

The Hon. AbdoulBaq Ladi Balogun-led ALALUBARIKA NATION has congratulated the cabinet member-nominee, Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, for his nomination by Governor Sanwo-Olu while also wishing him speedy confirmation as the Lagos State House of Assembly screens him and other 38 in the list.

Alli-Balogun was Commissioner 3 at the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, during former Governor Fashola's administration. He contested for House of Assembly AJIF Constituency 01 in 2019 and aspired to be Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA in 2021. He's an APC member from Ifelodun LCDA and a nephew of Lagos West Senatorial Apex Leader & GAC Member - Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa. He is also a Prince from the Alli-Balogun clan of the Ojora Royal Family.

An Ajegunle-based socio-political movement, Alalubarika Nation, has joined the family and friends of Senator (Mrs.) Idiat Oluranti Adebule [Ph.D] in celebrating her inauguration as a member of the 10th National Assembly today, Tuesday - June 13, 2023.

Senator (Dr.) Idiat Oluranti Adebule, also known as ‘Mama West’, was elected to represent Lagos West Senatorial district in the February 2023 general elections under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dr. (Mrs.) Adebule is a seasoned academic, devout Muslim and an astute public servant and one of the outstanding and staunch loyalists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. She was the 15th Deputy Governor of Lagos State and the sixth woman to occupy the office from 2015 to 2019.

ALALUBARIKA NATION COMMISERATES WITH MR. TAYO AYINDE ON PASSING OF WIFE

The Ajegunle-based sociopolitical movement — Alalubarika Nation has commiserated with Lagos State Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, who lost his wife Princess Adedoyin Raliat Ojora-Ayinde to the cold hands of death on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Mrs. Adedoyin Ayinde until her death was a caring mother and supportive wife who stood by Mr. Ayinde through thick and thin.

In a statement released by the group under the leadership of Hon. AbdoulBaq Ladi Balogun, he said: "Mr. Tayo Ayinde, please, accept our condolences on the passing of your darling wife - Princess Adedoyin Raliat Ayinde. We ask the Almighty God to forgive her shortcomings and make His coveted paradise her home."

Alalubarika Nation also beseeched God to shield the children she left behind and give Mr. Tayo Ayinde, her friends and the family, the fortitude to bear the sudden irreparable loss.
