My Driver to Apple Campus in Silicon Valley last week is a white American, age 68 and has work over 40 years . He said to Me; “ I need an advice , at 68 years I have nothing to show except for the property I bought 1984 for 75000 in Bay Area and it’s now worth over 1Million Dollars. Should I sell it and use the money to enjoy my life for the remaining 20 year I have left”.
Guess what My answer was to him?
However this article will not disclose my advice to him but I need you to think for few minutes , if a white American experience this ; having nothing to show after 40year plus of working . Still having to be a driver at such an age , what do you think the experience of a black immigrant will america will be?
Imagine he didn’t buy that house in 1984? 75,000 in 84 was A lot of money but if he didn’t buy in the days of his youth , what would have been his faith today? Will he Continue to be driver for rest of his life? How long can he continue as a driver ?
What we discuss is private and as you can see he was extremely happy with my counsel but the lesson for you and I is, invest when you are young else you will have a lot of regrets in your older years.
Play today and pay tomorrow or pay today and play tomorrow, the decision is all yours to Make.
