I've never felt that vulnerable before🥺, waking up every morning prepared for the worst news while hoping for the best, not feeling my baby kicks anymore and still not able to hold you when I want to or even take you home. Decisions were made within split seconds and I remember my inconsolable tears while being wheeled to the operating room filled with fear of many unknowns!
We named you Chimerika because despite all we went through in the NICU, God proved to be limitless in his power to make things happen(God is really big abeg😅) and Johanna because you are truly a reflection of Jehovah's mercy!
Thank you Jojo (as your big bro nicknamed you😅) for being my darling daughter. You birth truly changed my perspective to life forever, made me stronger and gave me a beautiful second opportunity to be a better mum to both you and your brother. Yes, I wasn't prepared for your delivery but I was prepared to love you a million percent from the day you were conceived😍!
I will forever remain grateful to God for sparing my life and giving me a such a strong, healthy and beautiful baby in you. You are my everyday proof that God works in a miraculous way and is always ready to hold us with his right hand of righteousness whenever we are anxious (Isa: 41 vs10)

To clarify things a little bit, I'm not dismissing other factors like sleep and stress management instead, I'm referring to those other "easy way out" that has no scientific backing😅...slimming tea, waist trainers, belly fat cream etc. won't help you if you don't have a sustained caloric deficit through your diet and some physical activity 🤷♀️!

Let's face it, belly fat is one of the most stubborn fat to lose🤦
Maybe that's because there are multiple factors to it that you might just be overlooking😅!
Dear sis, if you can work on these 4 tips for the next one month, you will come back to thank me😅...1000% fail proof😂!
1️⃣ Try sleeping more: Do you know sleep is tightly related to hormones that influences the fat around your belly? This is one factor a lot of people neglect! See, even if you count your calories well, if your sleep is not optimum, you will struggle more with losing the belly fat! If you are sleeping less than 7 hours a day, then you might want to start making some adjustments...maybe try reducing your screen time to add an extra 1 hour to your sleep routine 🤷!
2️⃣ Manage your stress: You might be doing well with your diet but stress is secretly sabotaging your results 😂! Chronic stress exposes your body to high levels of cortisol which has not only been linked to belly fat but also other chronic diseases! Stress is not entirely avoidable but there are some "unnecessary" stress we give ourselves😒. Sis, take a look at you life and identify those toxic things or people that always cause you to feel sad or stressed and start from there! Delete, block or find a better way to manage it/them biko😂!
3️⃣Cut back on sugar: This is a long known truth but hard pill to swallow😂. The final bus-stop for foods high in sugar is the belly region stored as fat! Processed foods, sugary drinks and juices, added sugars etc! Start working on reducing those and see the difference!
4️⃣Pay your vegetables tax: I know you don't like vegetables but let me ask you, do you like exams? I guess your answer is NO...But you still write your exams right🤣? See, these things are like tax, just pay it because there is no short cut🤷! Look for interesting ways to include them in your diet...it's really a game changer! There is nothing like spot reduction with weight loss because we can't tell our bodies where to take fat from🤷♀️! So really there is no way or let's say no diet, supplement or tea that would help you lose only belly fat while your b***s and hips remain exactly how they were😅!
Okay, let me tell you know this: your b***s and buttocks are primarily made of fat so when you embark on a weight loss journey, your body picks up fat from different areas of your body including those 'wrong' places you don't want it to😅! So Aunty, you better be ready to get new lingerie sizes😂!
Well, the good news is that if you want to seriously keep the b***s and hips, then you can incorporate more exercises to help build your chest and hip muscles which is gonna give you that killer curves at the end of the day 🥰!

Honey would affect your blood sugar the same way that white sugar would😅!
I know this may sound weird but you just have to understand that food chemistry is not about logic, it's a science😅! I hear some people say honey is natural and better🤦♂️, well, It's good you think so but also know that honey is still sugar gotten from a different source😅! White sugar came from sugarcane while honey sugar came from bees...simple😅! Both are SIMPLE sugars that have the same effect on blood glucose and overall health!
You might have also heard honey contains other nutrients not in white sugar, don't be deceived, those nutrients are not even up to 1% of your daily requirements...very insignificant, just take your mind off thst one😅!
Hold on, I'm not trying to say honey is bad...NO! what I mean is that when you take honey, don't think you are taking zero calories, carbs and sugar...take it because you prefer it not because you think you are making healthy swap with white sugar😅! Even when you choose to take honey, still do it in moderation!

High blood pressure is the No.1 risk factor for stroke 🥲!
I wouldn't be wrong if I say everyone knows at least one relative living with hypertension yet it is so poorly managed that it's complications are on the rise till date!
What we see in healthcare is so alarming that I just can't keep mute. Honestly, I might not know you personally but if you are living with hypertension, don't just take it for granted...with every second of a sustained high blood pressure, there is a big damage going on "SILENTLY"!
For the sake of your loved ones, put in the effort to make the right lifestyle changes! If you do it right, you might even reduce your medication needs and other possible complications...sounds cool right🤷♀️!

can understand the struggle to lose weight is real but is keto the best way out🤷?
☑️Honestly, Keto has its place in the area of therapeutic diets as it has been used to effectively manage seizure symptoms with people having epilepsy. Although some people have lost significant weight on Keto diet which may seem convincing but you also want to take a look at the "likely health cost" of such diet in the long term.
☑️Our bodies were designed to function properly through energy gotten from carbs NOT fat. So when you cut off carbs to less than 10%, it's like telling your body to redesign itself and start using fats to produce energy instead...sad news is that the body tries to but can't do it effectively because it wasn't designed to do it that way...so it hits you with headache which might even make you feel sick and sluggish😂.
☑️Other concerns with Keto diet is that it requires you cut out most fruits, whole grains and feed on high amount of fats which may lead to constipation, electrolytes imbalance, heart related issues, hormonal imbalances and could even place a huge burden on the kidney😒!
☑️There are lots of long term health uncertainties that could be associated with Keto plus the fact that it might not be a sustainable approach to weight loss. Once you stop the diet, you risk gaining all the weight back or even more😂
☑️Research and evidences are still evolving and nothing shows that cutting out carbs will give you better result for long term success😂. The principle to weight loss is being in a caloric deficit not being in ketosis🤷!
☑️Even if you have to do Keto, be sure it was prescribed for you by your physician and that you are doing it the right way under good supervision especially if you have any underlying health condition. Don't just wake up one morning and decide Keto is the way 😂 because it's trending on social media...be intentional about your health!

The short answer is "YES" but the long answer is "NO"😂!
The short answer is "yes" because it only mask your belly fat temporarily when you have it on, once you take it off, everything goes back to normal again😂
Hey sis, I'm just being a bit sarcastic😅, but honestly, there is "NO" evidence showing that waist trainer will help you burn belly fat. Don't let anyone deceive you that the sweat under the belt means your belly fat is melting, it's not true at all😂🤦!
Losing belly fat comes from being in a caloric deficit not from wearing a corset!
But the thing is this, when you put on a waist trainer, it might make you a bit more conscious of your weight loss goals and due to the discomfort from the corset, you might not even be able to eat a large portion of food as you would normally do which will lead to some weight loss. But the weight loss came as a result of eating fewer calories NOT because the waist trainer was burning the fat😂.
It's also important to note that some reliable researches are showing that it may pose some serious health risk to internal organs around the abdominal area especially for people who wear it for an extended period of time.
In summary, waist trainer only gives you that temporary benefit of looking good in your clothings when you have it on. When you take it off, you literally go back to square one🤷. It is not a substitute for adopting a healthy diet or being in a caloric deficit! Using it alone won't burn your belly fat!
