One morning I told the Lord I felt a little disconnected from Him, and He quickly reminded me that I am never disconnected because He lives in me. We don’t always feel the presence of God, but He is always in us. It is important for every believer to stay “God-inside minded.” We live by and through Him. He is our wisdom, strength, peace, righteousness, and everything else we will ever need. We never have to go in search of Him because He is not hiding and has not left us. We simply need to believe that Christ in us is the hope of glory (see Colossians 1:27). He is our hope of living a life worth living and one that is pleasing to Him.

One of the names by which Jesus is called is Immanuel, which means “God with us”! (See Matthew 1:23.) He promised to be with us always (see Matthew 28:20). Meditate on the fact that God lives in you and you are never disconnected from Him no matter how you feel. Satan wants us to feel alone and abandoned, but he is a liar, and the truth always makes us free.

Prayer: Father, I am amazed that You have chosen me as Your home. Help me be conscious and aware at all times that You live in me!
