We can only achieve significant progress when stakeholders make a strong commitment to mitigating school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) at all levels.

When gender conversations are mainstreamed and SRGBV is actively addressed, it fosters a culture of respect, equality, and empowerment among students and staff alike. creating a safer and more inclusive learning environment

Most importantly, mitigating SRGBV leads to improved academic outcomes as students feel safer and more supported, breaking cycles of discrimination and violence, contributing to the overall well-being and mental health of individuals within educational settings.

These were the significant highlights of the just concluded FAWE Nigeria Train-the-Trainers on the use of the FAWE SR-GBV manual.

Sound commitments were made to Advocacy and gender mainstreaming for better educational outcomes

SR-GBV is often rooted in deep-seated gender inequalities, harmful social norms, and inadequate protection mechanisms within educational institutions.

These factors contribute to a culture of violence and discrimination that undermines the right to education for all

Considering this, FAWE Nigeria through the together for girls support, recently organized a three-day "Train the Trainers" workshop for educational stakeholders, focusing on the FAWE SR-GBV Manual.

This initiative aims to deepen understanding and address School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SR-GBV) across all educational levels.

Stakeholders were equipped with enhanced capacities to identify and address SR-GBV using diverse teaching methodologies.

FAWE Nigeria is on a mission to change this narrative! We're working tirelessly to create safe spaces where EVERY child can learn without fear.
