I've made bad decisions and wrong choices. I've said the wrong things, I've said the right things. I don't like everything I've done, can't be proud of them all. I've loved the wrong people and trusted the wrong people, but I've had some great reliable friends too. If I'm asked to start again today, not certain I'd change anything.

Regardless, there are a lot of good things about me, you just need to look past my imperfections to see what's right. If you can't do that, then I'm not sorry, it's your loss.

There's this elderly man who sat across the junction. I saw him every day as I passed to work.
I'd greet him with a warm smile and go my way.
At first, it was more like a usual routine but soon after we began to have small conversations before i boarded a vehicle to my destination.

For the next 2weeks, it continued untill I no longer saw him.
Weeks later, i met him at the same spot on my way back from work. This time, he looked different. Well dressed even.
He told me he waited to make sure I didn't get home without seeing him because it was gonna be the last day he sat by the junction.

According to the man who later became my friend, he met me at his lowest.
It was on the days he considered su***de but my smiles kept him going. It showed that someone out there loved him somehow and everyday he had this thought, he'll push it aside but he kept seeing me and eventually never did till his life turned around.

You never know what your smile does to people around you.
