My fellow Nigerians,

It is my honour and privilege on behalf of Ibom Community Congress (ICC) to convey this goodwill message to you. First, today is the beginning of a new month and I wish you all a month full of new possibilities, opportunities and celebrations. Second, today is our Independence Anniversary day, the day our founding fathers freed us from the shackles of colonial rule exactly 62 years ago.

The journey of our nationhood has been attributed with various episodes and trials which brought out the resilient Nigerian spirit of perseverance, industry and self belief that 'Nigeria will be better' someday in us.

As we celebrate our 62 years of nationhood today, we all need to do away with the culture of mediocrity and corruption which has held us backwards from developing our potentials of emerging as a great nation in life.

My fellow Nigerians, it is time for us as a nation to chart a new beginning that will lead us into prosperity and advancement in all spheres of human endeavors having being immensely blessed by God with rich human and natural assets which makes us the envy of all nations.

Remember, “no amount of money can give the happiness that FREEDOM does”.

IBOM COMMUNITY CONGRESS IS INTACT FOR UMO ENO, PDP CANDIDATES - GROUP ASSURES

The leading and foremost political support group in the state, Ibom Community Congress (ICC) has reaffirmed their total commitment and support to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial flag bearer, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno and other PDP candidates in the state, noting that they remain intact come 2023 general elections.

The indefatigable leader and International President of the organization, Elder Joseph Goodluck made the declaration during a sensitization meeting with members of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Stakeholders, Members of the National Working Committee (NWC), Chapter and Wards Executives, yesterday at the organization’s International Secretariat, 54 Umoren Street, Uyo.

The ICC boss, Elder Goodluck while addressing the people made it known that Ibom Community Congress (ICC) remains intact for Pastor Umo Eno and all the Peoples Democratic Party candidates come 2023 general elections considering the fact that there is no other political party in Akwa Ibom aside from the PDP.

Elder Goodluck further encourage the people to stand with the PDP, ensure they get their Permanent Voters Cards in order to exercise their franchise in favour of all the PDP Candidates come 2023.

Meanwhile, the CEO of VKS Construction Company and Coordinator of the Board of Trustees, Ibom Community Congress, Engr. Oliver Ebong while giving his charge disclosed that Umo Eno’s blue print will ameliorate the plights of the people and as such the need for everyone to go to their various units and give him maximum support to make it a reality.

Engr. Ebong expressed satisfaction over the reports received so far from the Chapter and Ward Executives across the 31 local government areas and urged them to continue the mobilization and engagement of voters at the grassroots to ensure massive victory for PDP in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking further, another member of the BOT, ICC, Engr. Bassey Ntuen described the PDP gubernatorial candidate Pastor Umo Eno as the best choice for the hilltop job with experience and capacity in both private and public sector.

Engr. Ntuen charged members to focus on the core mandate of the organization while reiterating the need to work together in various units to ensure the 2023 project succeeds.

The sensitization meeting which was duly anchored by the International Vice President of the organization, Sir Daniel Ekanem also had in attendance Acting Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon. Lady Mercy Bassey, members of the National Working Committee, Vice Chairmen of Council, Secretaries of Council, Leaders of Council, Councillors amongst others.

As the 2023 general elections draws closer, the leading political support group in Akwa Ibom State, Ibom Community Congress (ICC) has applauded the Peoples Democratic Party Gubernatorial flag bearer in the State, Pastor Umo Eno, the National Chairman of Maintain Peace Movement and Senatorial Candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem amongst other candidates of the party as they receive their Certificate of Return.

The International President of the group, Elder Joseph Goodluck made the disclosure at the PDP State Secretariat, Atan Offot, Uyo, yesterday, June 20, 2022 when the Senatorial, House of Representative and House of Assembly Candidates who emerged victorious at the party’s primaries where presented with Certificate of Return.

Addressing the press, the ICC boss, Elder Goodluck, assures the State Chairman of the Party who doubles as the Chairman, Board of Trustees, ICC, Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan that Ibom Community Congress is already canvassing unit to unit votes for all candidates of the PDP come 2023 general elections while appreciating him for his support to the group.

While calling on all to join in supporting the candidacy of Umo Eno, Elder Goodluck said everyone stands the chance to benefit when Umo Eno wins the governorship election come 2023 noting that Eno’s government will be an all inclusive one.

Goodluck appealed to members and unit coordinators to mobilize those at the grassroots who were yet to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to do so and be politically equipped to vote the Umbrella come 2023 general elections.

PDP WARD CONGRESS: IBOM COMMUNITY CONGRESS APPLAUDS PARTY OVER HITCH-FREE ELECTION

The foremost and firebrand political support group in Akwa Ibom State, Ibom Community Congress (ICC) has applauded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a conduct of a hitch-free ward congresses across the state to elect ad-hoc delegates who will vote at the party's primary election.

The International President of ICC, Elder Joseph Goodluck made this known on Saturday at Otieke Offi, Offi Ward two,
Okobo Local Government Area where he joined other party faithfuls to elect three Ad-hoc delegates during the PDP Ward Congress.

Elder Goodluck commended the party for a hitch-free conduct of the congresses across the state noting that the peaceful conduct is a testament of the victory that awaits the party come 2023 general elections.

The International President expressed satisfaction with the process noting that it was free, fair and credible across the state.

He further applauds the leader of the PDP in the state, His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel and the State Chairman of the PDP, Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan for ensuring a hitch-free conduct of the Congress across the 329 INEC recognized wards of the state noting that such gesture was necessary for the 21st century democracy.

The foremost and firebrand political support group in Akwa Ibom State, Ibom Community Congress (ICC) in a bid to mobilize more grassroots support to the leading gubernatorial aspirant in the state, Pst. Umo Eno charged members of Alliance for Umo Eno to remain focus and committed to ensure a smooth transition come 2023.

The International President of ICC, Elder Joseph Goodluck made the disclosure at the sensitization summit, tagged: “Umo Eno the panacea for peace”, organized by Alliance for Umo Eno at Iboko Event Centre in Uyo, yesterday.

Elder Joseph Goodluck who represented the special guest of honour, Pst Umo Eno at the all important summit stated that Umo Eno is an experienced entrepreneur who will consolidate on the peace to move the state forward.

According to him, the former Lands and Water Resources Commissioner, Pst Umo Eno is a man of peace who will create jobs for the unemployed Akwa Ibom populace noting that he’s a prudent manager and a successful entrepreneur.

“Pst. Umo Eno has the capacity to transform Akwa Ibom looking at his background. He’s a man of peace. He’s come to create employment for our unemployed youths, he’s a prudent manager and successful entrepreneur. We need to support him and give him a chance to serve”, he said.

He commends the leadership of Alliance for Umo Eno Organization for a successful summit to enlighten their members and delegates noting that it was necessary especially in the 21st century democracy.

Also Speaking, the President, Alliance for Umo Eno, Akparawa-anwan Comrade Ofonime Essien, said the essence of the summit was amongst others to sensitize delegates and citizens of the state of the need to throw in their support for Umo Eno.

"Alliance for Umo Eno is a pro-pastor Umo Eno group. We are strictly and very particular about seeing through the emergence of Pastor Umo Eno at the hilltop mansion” she said.

Meanwhile, highlights of the summit were the sensitization of both delegates and citizens of the State on continuous voters registration, as well as the need to sustain peace in the state.

The summit had in attendance, the Honourable for Housing, Rt. Hon. Raphael Bassey, Acting Chairman of Mkpat Enin, Akparawanwan Mercy Bassey, the International Vice President of ICC, Sir Daniel Ekanem, Publicity Secretary of ICC, Hon. Cyril Umoren, prominent sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State amongst others.

If he was, it would have become a major shooting point for part-time fifth columnists and emergency political impresarios.

With professional propagandists and naysayers contracted to dig deep into his autobio in their fault finding mission, the leading Gubernatorial Aspirant has still not been found with no baggage.

He has so acquitted himself against their wild imaginations, hence showing off as a man of integrity, character and competence.

It was an enthusiastic scenario as the leading governorship aspirant’s camp received a huge boost as Ibom Community Congress (ICC), an emerging structure and foremost political support group in Akwa Ibom endorsed Pst. Umo Bassey Eno as their sole candidate for 2023 gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom State.

The International President of ICC, Elder Joseph Goodluck made the disclosure while addressing thousands of members drawn from the 329 wards across the state on the occasion of the formal inauguration of State Working Committee and Grand Opening of her International Secretariat in Uyo on Saturday March 26, 2022.

Elder Goodluck speaking, said: “Ibom Community Congress Congress (ICC) is a foremost political support group in Akwa Ibom with structures across the 329 wards of the state with delegates as leaders.”

“It is on this note today, the 26th day of March, 2022 that I, Elder Joseph Goodluck, the International President of ICC, after due consultation with members of the Board of Trustees and Stakeholders officially endorse Pst. Umo Bassey Eno as our sole candidate for 2023 gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom State.” Elder Goodluck added.

Meanwhile, high point of the event was the official inauguration of the State Working Committee and Grand Opening of Ibom Community Congress International Secretariat, performed by the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Barr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN.

Speaking at the event, the leading governorship aspirant in the State, Pst. Umo Eno commended ICC for standing on the vision to put the state in one pedestal by working in partnership with the Maintain Peace Movement (MPM) to consolidate on the peace already enjoyed to bring sustainable development and progress to the people of the state.

Pst. Eno promised to make the middle class active by creating business and fashion hubs all over the state for entrepreneurs to thrive.

Eno said: “I will not give you fish, but I will teach you how to fish. I know how to create those things because I’m an entrepreneur, I will create business and fashion hubs all over the the state for the common good of Akwa Ibom people so that the middle class can be active in our dear state.”

Also speaking, the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan who was represented by the Secretary of the Party, Hon. Harrison Ekpo commended Ibom Community Congress for the quality of people who are recruited into the group and declares support to ICC.

Hon. Ekpo said: “PDP is like a big tree with many branches, I can tell you today that ICC has perfectly emerge as one of the big branches of our great party. Seeing this great number of Party structure, I believe in your action. I’m impressed by this gathering and I stand here to align myself with ICC.”

“I charge you all to continue with your good works, even Paul speaking to the Corinthians in the Bible says that all those who have contributed to the success of the Church will be rewarded”, he added.

Furthermore, the National Coordinator of Maintain Peace Movement, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem congratulates the newly inaugurated firebrand political structure, Ibom Community Congress and declares total partnership with the Maintain Peace Movement.

Barr. Enoidem said: "In ICC I have found a dependable partner, a brother and an organized team in the 2023 project Akwa Ibom, by your composition I'm satisfied. Umo Eno is a symbol of peace, therefore, it is not a mistake that all of us at the MPM family are here today. We’ve notice the right spirit behind ICC. Congratulations to dreamers. Members of MPM all over the world would partner with Ibom Community Congress at all levels.”

“Go and tell them that PDP is coming back again” he added.

Reacting in his goodwill message, the ICC Coordinator of the Board of Trustees, Engr. Oliver Ebong, poured encomium to the incoming governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pst. Umo Eno, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Maintain Peace Movement for identifying with ICC.

Engr. Ebong noted that ICC is a fanatical supporter of His Excellency, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, driving his completion agenda and succession plan.

He promised that no stone shall be left unturned as ICC will ensure that the 2023 project Akwa Ibom is duly followed to a logical conclusion.

Another member of the ICC Board of Trustees, Chief Janet Amba promise to cover more grounds to ensure a smooth transition of power to Pst. Umo Eno come 2023.

Chief Amba said; “Your Excellency in the making, I’m sure you’re impressed with the marriage of ICC and MPM which has taken place today. Let me assure you that your victory is sure come 2023. We sit down to work behind closed doors. All these people are here because they’re ready to stand with you to ensure that you become the next governor of Akwa Ibom State.”

..as ICC Sets to Inaugurate Central Working Committee, March 25.

Coalition of support groups in Akwa Ibom State have pledged unflinching and total commitment to Ibom Community Congress (ICC) for the actualization of Governor Udom Emmanuel's succession plan come 2023.

The groups — simply identified as Mkpo Amaa Change, Ibom Intellectual Initiative and Election Without Violence — synergized to commit themselves to Ibom Community Congress during an emergency meeting held over the weekend at the International Secretariat of ICC, No. 54 Umoren Street, Uyo.

The highpoint of the meeting was the confirmation and presentation of certificate of office to Mr. Martins Esin as member, Board of Trustees, ICC, jointly performed by Mr. Ekpeno Gold and Mrs Bassey Ntuen.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the meeting, Elder Goodluck Joseph, the International President of ICC commended the synergy by the groups, noting that it was a necessary part for the present day democratic process and that Ibom Community Congress was open to more collaboration from individuals and groups who share in the same vision.

He thanked the Chairman of PDP, Akwa Ibom State, Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan for his unwavering support and goodwill to Ibom Community Congress (ICC) and described the National Cordinator of Mkpo Amaa Change Initiative Mr Ekpeno Gold as a result oriented individual of capacity whom he is happy to identify with.

Reacting, the National Coordinator of Mkpo Amaa Change Initiative, Mr. Ekpeno Gold said the group is glad to collaborate with Ibom Community Congress (ICC) to rally more support for the succession plan of his Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Also speaking, Mr. Martins Esin, the newly inuagurated BOT member, expressed gratitude to the leadership of group for finding him fit to be inducted into the organization and office, he promised a postive delivery on his path.

The meeting, which was attended by high-profile members of the organization, also received a report of the central planning committee for the Inuaguration of ICC which is slated to hold Friday 25 March 2022 by 10am at the international headquarters, Uyo.

According to the release jointly signed by the chairman central planning committee, Barr. UtibeAbasi Nwoko and Chairman Contacts and Mobilization Sub-Committee, Dr. UnwanaAbasi Udoh, the event is expected to harness political interests across Akwa Ibom to ensure a smooth and peaceful 2023 Akwa Ibom project.

The event will be chaired by a renowned legal luminary and the immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN.

Members of the political class, the press, academia, business magnates, royal fathers, fathers of faith, members of the Board of Trustees ICC, stakeholders of ICC, and the general public are hereby invited to attend the event.

Ibom Community Congress (ICC) regrets to announce the postponement of the Inauguration of the Central Working Committee/Grand opening of her Ultra-Modern Office Complex earlier scheduled to hold on Friday 18th March, 2022.

However, a new date for the inauguration will be communicated in due course.

A New Era for P*e Dee P*e

PRESS RELEASE!

In view of the recent dissolution of the former State and Chapter Executives of Ibom Community Congress (ICC), the International President, Elder Joseph Edet Goodluck has directed that a new executives be constituted.

The constitution of the new Executives shall take the following format:

1. Formation of an enlarged State Executive Structure, made up of three (3) members per Local Government Area

2. Appointment of two (2) persons at the chapter level as Chapter Leader and Secretary across the 31 LGAs of the State.

3. Appointment of Ward Leader and Secretary at the Ward level which will be handled by the Chapter Leader and Secretary.

4. Appointment of 22 exco members in each Unit to be handled by the Ward Leader and Secretary

5. Each Unit must have at least 50 registered members of Ibom Community Congress.
