From my duty post earlier today, I felt the power of capacity and competence at play as I sat and listened to a man of high intelligence speak. While on my sit of focus and keen interest I conceptualised "When capacity meets competence in the field of Excellence," the symbiotic relationship between ability and skill blossoms into a realm of unlimited possibilities. Capacity refers to the innate potential or talent that an individual possesses in a particular domain, while competence refers to the mastery of that potential through rigorous training, practice, and experience.

In any field of excellence, from sports to music, science to art, capacity is the foundation upon which competence is built. It is the raw material, the untapped potential that sets individuals apart from each other. Capacity can be likened to the seeds of a beautiful flower, each holding the promise of growth and beauty, but without the proper nurturing and care, it remains dormant and unfulfilled.

Competence, on the other hand, is the result of dedicated effort, relentless practice, and continuous learning. It is the conscious decision to harness and refine one's capacity in order to excel in a chosen field. Competence is like the gardener who tends to the seeds of capacity, providing them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and experience to grow and blossom into something extraordinary.
