The Happy Hour train of the Young People's Initiative yesterday visited Abak Road in Uyo, in a bid to further put smiles on the faces of the people in the area.

Led by the President, Comr. Edikan Matthew, flanked by Comr. Usanga, Abasikpongke Elijah (Noble) the Secretary General of the Initiative. Noted that the gesture is a demonstration of love displayed by Pst. Umo Eno to the people of Akwa Ibom state and how people-oriented his government will be.

"We're here to put smiles on the faces of people in this area. It is quite ideal to always take quality time out to get ourselves recuperated after a long week of work. Happy hour is not meant for the lazy and we know Akwa Ibomites are hard working people that's why we brought the Happy hour celebration to your door step this evening".

Expressing delight, dwellers in the area thanked the Happy hour train of the Young People's Initiative for deeming it wise to visit their area and for bringing the Happy hour celebration closer to them, saying that, the gesture handcrafts a feeling value and care by the incoming administration.

"We're very happy with the Governor-elect Pst. Umo Bassey for his wise thought and for always placing premium on the welfare of the people. For weeks now, we've been hearing about happy hour making rounds on the radio and the social media and today the train have visited our area. It is a welcome development and we pray that the Pst. GROUP INTENSIFIES GRASSROOT SENSITIZATION FOR PST UMO ENO, PDP

The sensitization train of the Young People's Initiative (YPI), made heed way recently to Nduetong Oku, Ward 11, Uyo local government area to further intensify grassroot support for the People's Democractic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Pst. Umo Bassey Eno.

The sensitization exercise was carried out by Comr. Ekere Okon Akpan, a representative of the Young People's Initiative in Nduetong Oku, Uyo LGA.

Briefing the youths of the area, Comr. Ekere stressed the need to support Pst. Umo Eno's gubernatorial bid and as well the PDP, noting that it is ideal for anyone who wishes good for Akwa Ibom State to vote PDP in the forthcoming governorship poll in the state.

"Umo Eno ado utom idung. Anyone who wishes good for Akwa Ibom State will support Pst. Umo Eno's gubernatorial ambition not because of anything, but because of his sterling qualities and insight towards consolidating on the already enjoyed peace and security in the state.

“He is ready to lead Akwa Ibom State to that appreciable height thereby ushering in developmental milestone."

"The essence of this exercise is to intensify grassroot support for Pst. Umo Eno in order to further enhance his victory at the polls come March 11, 2023."

Comrade Ekere further charged the youths to ensure they deliver Pst. Eno in all the youths in the area.

"Let work hands on deck, take the message of Pst. Umo Eno to every household and canvas the needed support to make him win at the polls. I want to believe that through you all, PDP will win in all the polling units in this area as we approach elections in less than 14 days," he said.

2023 GUBER: COE STUDENTS DECLARE SUPPORT FOR UMO ENO
..As Young People's Initiative takes PVC Sensitization Train To The Campus

As the 2023 general elections is in few days, the students of the Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, have declared their unalloyed support for the gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Pst. Umo Bassey Eno, describing him as their sole candidate in the March 11 poll.

The declaration was made on Tuesday as the PVC Campus Sensitization Train under the aegis of the Young People's Initiative (YPI) landed the campus.

Intimating the students about the visit, the President of the sociopolitical group, Comr. Edikan Matthew stressed the need for young people to be ready to participate in the 2023 general elections to secure their future, as the youths play monumental role in determining the fate of the state and the country at large in the next political administration.

"The youths constitute a greater percentage of the voting demography in any clime and the 2023 general elections will be nothing far-fetched from it.

“We're here on a mission to preach the good news of Pst. Umo Eno of the People's Democratic Party PDP.

"As students, the Arise Agenda of Pst. Umo Eno captures holistically the welfare of the students ranging from bursary, academic grants and other schemes capable of aiding effective and qualitative learning in the tertiary institutions across the state.

All that is required of us come March 11th 2023, is to vote for Pst. Umo Eno for a better Akwa Ibom," Mr Matthew said.

Painting a clearer picture of the Arise Agenda, the Secretary General of the initiative Comr. Abasikpongke Elijah Usanga noted that the Arise Agenda is a broad economic blueprint covering agricultural and rural development, infrastructural revolution, security management, as well as economic and wealth creation which is a major concern of Pst. Eno.

"Pst. Umo Eno's administration will be more concerned about the wellbeing of the young people, fostering industrial and economic development, youth inclusiveness in governance, drastic reduction in unemployment rate, improved health care services, advanced educational facilities involving infrastructures, payment of bursary, academic grants, loans and other relevant schemes to support qualitative learning."

Responding through the people, the President Students' Union Government, Comr. Ediomo Esu, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the Young People's Initiative (YPI) for bringing the sensitization train to College of Education Afaha Nsit.

“The gesture shows that the government has lofty plans for the student community in Akwa Ibom State. PDP is a culture and as students we can't deviate from it. We will vote Pst. Umo Eno, we will vote PDP.

"As students we have our plights, things that disturb the student community here in College of Education, Afaha Nsit and I think this platform is one we can channel them to the incoming Governor. As a citadel of learning, the institution lacks good infrastructures to aid effective learning, constant light, no bank (ATM) to aid easy financial transactions, security, hostel, and internal roads. So, we plead the incoming Governor when he assumes office to look into those things for a better academic performance in the institution,” he added.

Present during the exercise were the Vice President of the Initiative Comr. Eniebiet Akpan, Comr. Mkpoikanke Tom, Spokesperson Young People's Initiative, Director of Welfare, Comr. Unyime Irene and a host of other prominent student leaders from the institution.

UMO ENO: YOUNG PEOPLE'S INITIATIVE TAKES GRASSROOT MOBILIZATION TO AKSU.
..Commences campus PVC sensitization tour.

The mobilization train of Young People's Initiative (YPI), yesterday, visited Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) in a move to create sensitization ahead of the forth coming general election.

The visit is characterized by the need to bring to the awareness of the students why they should secure their PVC's and participate actively in the 2023 general election by supporting the PDP as well as its gubernatorial candidate Pst. Umo Eno to win the forth coming election

The exercise was led by the President Comr. Edikan Matthew who noted that the gesture is keen, having understood the critical state of the nation and the political trauma currently faced by its citizens as a result of the failed Government in power. He implored the students to vote for the PDP for a secured future of the youths inclusiveness in governance to ensure Agricultural revolution, human capacity development, Rural/Economic development.

Speaking through the people, the Students Union President Akwa Ibom State University, Comr. Ukoh Joseph commended the leadership of the group for the bold step taken to bring the gospel of the PDP to Akwa Ibom state University, stressing....

"I welcome you to my school, I'm so delighted to host you all. I wouldn't withheld any wanted mechanism to making this tour a success from you. I implore you to go into the classrooms, meet the students, take the gospel of Pst. Umo Eno to departments and lecture halls. We assure you that come March 11th, 2023, Akwa Ibom State University students will all go out and vote the candidate of their choice". He said.
