Veteran Nollywood actress Cynthia Okereke has died, 12 months after suffering in kidnappers den.

The sad news was announced by her colleague in the entertainment industry, Joseph Okechukwu.

According to the filmmaker, he was about to pay for Cynthia Okereke’s flight ticket to come to America but sadly, she died on Tuesday night.

An Ondo chef identified as Adeola Adeyeye has begun a 150-hour cook-a-thon in an attempt to break Hilda Baci's Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

This is coming after another Nigerian chef, Adeparusi Damilola aka Chef Dammy embarked on a 120-hour cook-a-thon in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

Adeyeye began the cook-a-thon on Friday, June 30, 2023, in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State and is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, July 6, 2023.

"Live on Instagram": Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed starts cook-a-thon trial ahead of breaking Hilda Baci's record

By 10:00 am on Friday, June 16, a renowned Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed started her cook-a-thon trial which will run until Sunday, June 18.

The 40-year-old chef, who cooked for 72 hours in 2018, had earlier revealed that she wants to break two Guinness World Records, one of which is held by Hilda Baci.

For her cooking event, which is the second trial, the chef already got a sponsor and urged people to support her as she streams it live on Instagram.

Lagos Police Rescue Baby From Under Bus

The Lagos State Police Command has rescued a baby girl from under a parked bus in the Ketu area of the state.

The healthy baby girl was taken into safe custody after a resident heard her cry from under a bus at about 4:30 am on Wednesday.

The Spokesperson for the command, BenjaminHundeyin, made this known on his Twitter page on Thursday, revealing that investigations were ongoing.

Sharing a picture of the child, he tweeted, "A Lagosian set out for work at about 4:30 am yesterday and heard the cry of a baby under a parked bus somewhere in Mile 12 Ketu.

"Police officers from Ketu Division, after being alerted, have taken the healthy baby girl into safe custody. Investigation is ongoing."

A US resident has rewarded Chef Damilola Adeparusi popularly known as Chef Dammy with the sum of N1 million following the completion of her cook-a-thon.

The Ekiti undergraduate cooked for 120 hours amid criticisms and applause from folks from different walks of life.

While the Guinness World Records had given an official statement as regards Chef Dammy, this has not stopped people from showering her with rewards.

The kindhearted fellow who gave Dammy N1m went on to explain what inspired the financial gesture.
