Table decoration and desert in one; the popular cupcake bouquet!
Beautiful dried flowers and a touch of gold for this babyshower cake.
Such a shame I can’t show you the inside of this cake from last week. With 2 tiers of bright rainbow colours it sure is a show stopper!
Lots of deserts over the weekend as I decided I could take on some work again now that I finished the chemo treatments. Tiring? Yes. Fun? Yes! So happy I can work a little bit before I close down again for some weeks after next weekend. Swipe to see more and let me know which dessert is your favourite!
If the weather doesn’t say summer, this cake certainly does!
Happy 60th birthday!

Congratulations to Judy on her Bat Mitzvah!
Whilst I was at it, I also made a birthdaycake for our neighbour who celebrated her 60th birthday yesterday. Happy birthday, Susan!
Second photo is customer’s photo!
Yesterday I made 300 desserts for a bar and bat mitzva party. I shall admit that I was a little anxious about it and I only confirmed the job a few days in advance. But I did it and I really enjoyed it!
It was probably the last big assignement for a while, only taking some last moment cake orders now and then.
Congrats to Max and Abi on their civil marriage today!
Back to the order of the day…
and this cute Nijnte / Miffy cake that I made a couple of weeks ago.
Sugar cookies are definitely not my speciality but I sure enjoyed making these mini Miffy’s.
Wow! I was blown away by all the reactions to my last post both on IG and on Facebook. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the hundreds of sweet and heartwarming messages, cards and flowers from friends, customers, (x) colleagues, neighbours, and complete strangers. It means a lot to me!
Whilst I will keep this account mainly business focused as usual, if you want to follow my more private journey you are welcome to do so on my privat instagram account where I will do some updates from time to time.
Meanwhile, thank you all again for your massive support, it means more to me than you know ❤️
As I don’t usually share personal information on this account, I feel a little awkward about this post. But I am choosing to share it here as it will definitely influence my work capacity in the months to come.
Here we go: some weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Just like that, out of the blue. In an instant, everything changes.
I will not bore you with too many details, just say that I am in good hands and I will start chemotherapy next week. I don’t know what to expect and I shall admit that I am scared. Really scared. At the same time I feel strong and ready to fight. I feel blessed to have an amazing family and lots of supportive friends around me. So many women go through this, I can do it as well. I am confident that I will be cured and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Meanwhile, it is really important to me to continue working as much as I can. It gives me great distraction and I also just really love my work. I will take less orders though, so if you need a cake, be sure to secure a spot as soon as you can. This is it for now, I thank you for your understanding and support. And of course the most important thing: check your breasts now. Now!
Love this repeat design; this time for an 18th birthday.
Full fridges this weekend!
Happy 1st birthday, Emilia!
A bouquet of cupcake flowers to brighten up an otherwise grey day..
How cute are these cakepop icecreams?
In november 2021, 15 year old Anne came to my kitchen to bake a cake as part of her ‘make a wish’ dreamday. Anne was dreaming of having her own cake shop one day but now she had been going through some rough cancer treatments and deserved a day of fun. And we sure had fun! Anne immediately impressed me with her charm, amazing smile and enthousiasm. She decorated a gorgeous cake and some cupcakes and we had such a good time.
In July the following year, I was contacted by Anne’s father asking if it would be possible for Anne to come back and bake another cake with me, this time for her 16th birthday. Of course I said yes and Anne arrived with her brother. Whilst I could see that Anne had deteriorated, she still had the same gorgeous smile and the sparkle in her eyes when she arrived. Both Anne and her brother decorated beautiful cakes for their common birthday party. Before she left, I invited Anne to come back to bake another cake for her 18th birthday and we gave each other a hug.
Unfortunately, this will never take place. Anne passed away last Monday, only 17 years old.
I feel so privileged and honoured to have known Anne and to have seen her strength and sparkling eyes despite the serious illness she had. Rest in peace, dear Anne, I will always carry your memory with me.
Who doesn’t love a gender reveal cake?
Mother turning 60 and her daughter turning 40; both surprised with a big party when they thought they were going out for a quiet family dinner!
Congrats to I & R who after many years of civil marriage finally had their ‘chupa’, their Jewish wedding ceremony. Mazal tov!
Creamy cheesecake, tangy lemoncurd and sweet meringue; this cake combines two of my favourite cakes: cheesecake and lemon meringue pie.
What do you say?
Congrats to a mum who received her diploma after a long study!

Lambeth cake!
This super popular cake trend originates from the UK in the 1930’s and has made a huge comeback as a retro cake. A Lambeth cake is known for its elegant design of piped borders and layers of intricate and elaborate patterns.
