Regreener empowers partners to take meaningful climate action by measuring impact, reducing emissions, and supporting global environmental projects.

We're proud to share our progress so far:

🌳 Over 1,000 trees planted: A total of 1,051 trees, each representing a vital step towards a greener, more sustainable planet.

🌍 Significant CO2 offset: We’ve offset 105.10 tons of CO2 emissions, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint.

💚 Our commitment remains strong: For every new adessi, 25 trees are planted, and for every €5,000 in turnover, another tree is added to the forest.

Discover how the new OVPay system is set to make travel in the Netherlands even more convenient! 🚄✨ With OVPay, travelers can check in and out using their bank cards, credit cards, or mobile phones, eliminating the need for an OV-chip card.

Our skilled developer Gert Kommer contributed to this innovative project by collaborating on the Product Sales System (PVS) with Technolution. The PVS facilitates the purchase and linking of season tickets to bank cards. Key challenges include:
🔗 Integrating various systems,
🔒 Managing travel history securely, and
💳 Coordinating with multiple transport and payment providers.

Despite its complexity, OVPay offers a seamless and user-friendly experience for both travelers and transport operators.

Twee innovatieve en succesvolle hackathons bij team Data & AI vonden plaats bij ons op kantoor. Neem een kijkje in de keuken over de interessante projecten waar ons team aan heeft gewerkt:

🌟 Hackathon 1: crowdsourced data en MLOps frameworks
→ "Amsterdam Vies"-project: Gabe, Melissa, Roz en Patrick onderzochten hoe we met crowdsourced dataplekken met zwerfvuil in Amsterdam kunnen identificeren. Diverse modellen, waaronder en werden getest en het laatste model presteerde goed met een getrainde dataset vol afbeeldingen van klein vuilnis.
→ MLOps framework: Sebastiaan, Michael, Ties, Sander en Walewein werkten aan een framework voor snellere ontwikkeling van ML-oplossingen. Ze bouwden een devcontainer en onderzochten hoe GitHub Actions en Azure services ons kunnen ondersteunen bij het trainen en draaien van ML-modellen.

🌟 Hackathon 2: Analytics as a Service en verdere ontwikkeling van MLOps
→ Deze hackathon begon met een inspirerende pitch van Sander over “Analytics as a Service”. Vervolgens gaf Sebastiaan een breakout-sessie over de cloud engineering voor ons product ResuMatch AI.
→ Analytics as a Service: Sander, Ties, Stefan en Wesley analyseerden audit data voor waardevolle inzichten.
→ Ondertussen werkten Michael, Sebastiaan, Gabe en Walewein verder aan het ontwikkelen van een MVP voor het MLOps framework en brainstormden ze over de inrichting en engineering voor het bestaande ResuMatch AI prototype.
→ Melissa, Patrick en René werkten aan een klantrelease en een workshop over onze AI-producten en skills bij adesso intern.

We zijn trots op de resultaten en kijken uit naar de volgende hackathon! 💪

Na een potje tafelvoetbal en pizza, vertelde Hugin Roijmans over zijn project bij bol, waar hij werkt aan een nieuw systeem voor de Customer Service-afdeling.

Vervolgens deelde Luca Camphuisen zijn ervaringen met het draaien van cloud-native hashtag op hashtag met hashtag -opslag en hashtag .

De avond werd afgesloten door Willem van de Griendt met een teamupdate, een presentatie over hashtag 🍀 en inzichten in de scores van Everybody Frank

Pieter Kuijer, Eugene Dauphin, Marwin Hogeterp, Xander Lykopoules en Zoë van der Weert waren hierbij. En mochten meeluisteren naar verschillende sprekers zoals, Bas van Abel, Anke van Hal, Maarten Jonker en Marleen Bekker.

Deze sprekers hebben ons van alles verteld over het concept: Coopetition.
Van hen hebben we mogen leren dat, als je langzaam gaat je ook ver komt. Maar ook dat we als we delen met onze concurrenten een groter verschil kunnen maken.

How do you approach collaboration with the competition? Adesso Netherlands were sponsors of the DEI annual event on June 27.

Pieter Kuijer, Eugene Dauphin, Marwin Hogeterp, Xander Lykopoules and Zoë van der Weert were present. And were allowed to listen to various speakers such as Bas van Abel, Anke van Hal, Maarten Jonker and Marleen Bekker. These speakers told us all about the concept: Coopetition.

We have learned from them that if you go slowly you can go far. But also that if we share with our competitors we can make a bigger difference.

As the summer sun fills our days with warmth and energy, we're beyond excited to welcome our three new joiners to Adesso! ☀️

Starting with Stefan Bloemenheuvel, our newest Data Scientist. Stefan is completing a PhD in Data Science, with the subject of Graph Neural Networks for Time Series Analysis. He has also been active for several years in a European research project to make the plastics industry more data driven.
Something fun to know about Stefan is that he is currently training for a half marathon!

Next Up is Wesley Dankmeyer, our newest Data Engineer. Wesley has several years of experience working as a Data Engineer, working for several companies. Even without a technical background, he thought everything he knows himself.
Something fun about Wesley is that he recently became a father!

Our last new joiner of this month is Chris de Koning, our new consultant. Chris is currently working on a project for Adesso DE.
Fun fact about Chris is that he is very creative and knows how to play the piano!

Streamlining success: enhancing Scrum at Telindus ✨A success story we’d love to share with you:

🔥 The Challenge: Telindus, a leading IT infrastructure provider, faced challenges in maintaining their agile process. Transitioning with the Scrum framework in a dynamic cloud environment was tough. They struggled with overview and efficiency.

💡 The Solution: adessi Lukas Klinghammer, with his Scrum expertise, guided the team, adapted the framework and, thanks to his technical background, also contributed to the codebase. His efforts streamlined the process and cleaned up the product backlog.

🎯 The Result: The team regained control, efficiency soared, and the next steps were clear.

At Cybersec Europe 2024,

came together on May 29th and 30th to confront these challenges.
From inspiring keynotes to interactive workshops,
attendees learned how to enhance cyber resilience and protect their core.

showcasing our joint security and NIS2 assessments.

Our first new colleague is Marwin Hogeterp. He is the newest experienced member of the Microsoft team as a Senior Dynamics 365 CE & Power Platform Solution Architect. Before joining adesso, he worked for many years at multiple companies such as software development companies.

Nice to know about Marwin: He is the football coach of his children’s football team.⚽️

Another new colleague who started this month is Zoë van der Weert. She started her very first internship here at adesso. She is a first-year marketing and communication student at Deltion College and will be joining as a marketing and communication intern.

A fun fact about Zoë: she is a big theme and amusement park enthusiast. Nothing is better than a thrilling ride! 🎢

📅 In a determined effort to modernize NS's outdated Bijsturing Applicatie Materieel (BAM) (Adjustment Application Equipment) application, we set out to create a more responsive, adaptable, and future-proof system to tackle equipment plan challenges head-on.

🖥️ Our approach centered on clean architecture principles and harnessing advanced technologies like , , and . This ensured a robust foundation to address the complexities of railway operations effectively.

🌍 With the successful launch of the initial phase of the modernized application at NS-International, we usher in a new era of efficiency and reliability in Dutch railways. The aim is to extend this transformative solution to all NS travelers by September, promising smoother journeys and timely arrivals for all.

Huge thanks to Jan-Paul van Reenen for his invaluable contribution as the Lead Developer (Tech Lead) on this project. Thanks to him and the NS team, this project was a success.
