Keanu Reeves was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister has leukemia.
And with everything that has happened, Keanu Reeves never misses an opportunity to help people in need. When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants; One cried because he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 and on the same day Keanu deposited the necessary amount in the woman's bank account; He also donated stratospheric sums to hospitals.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery and bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.
After winning astronomical sums for the Matrix trilogy, the actor donated more than $50 million to the staff who handled the costumes and special effects - the true heroes of the trilogy, as he called them.
He also gave a Harley-Davidson to each of the stunt doubles. A total expense of several million dollars. And for many successful films, he has even given up 90% of his salary to allow the production to hire other stars.
In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours.
Most stars when they make a charitable gesture they declare it to all the media. He has never claimed to be doing charity, he simply does it as a matter of moral principles and not to look better in the eyes of others.
This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought: To be a good person.
Keanu Reeves’ father is of Native Hawaiian descent

God’s Day Song. Text written by Christopher Vipond Davies. January 1, 1974, Oslo, Norway.’= https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNICEedGVIQ&list=PLZ670dbe1ya-3gMbWCRuP_VkNB68E4Wel&index=1
On January 1, 1974, I was in, or near, in a farmhouse, Oslo, Norway, on tour with The New Life Show, 10 people from 12 countries, an initiative of the Unified Family / Unification Church, labelled the Moonies by the media.
I heard a lovely traditional Norwegian song, Deilig er Jorden (Delicious /Wonderful is the Earth) - https://lyricstranslate.com/en/deilig-er-jorden-delicious-earth.html - sung by one of our group, Elfrid Langenes, and found a translation and adapted it, with the title God’s Day song. In those days, we Moonies celebrated New Year’s Day as God’s Day, to give Him the honour and to pledge to dedicate ourselves to Kingdom building throughout the year.
Today, much has changed. Moonies, now often claiming the title Unificationist, no longer celebrate January 1 in this way, but have a smaller celebration, in the West, at the beginning of the Chinese New Year. I myself am no longer active with any of the organizational activities, but my life is and views are still influenced by those days.
I might rephrase the text to express more truly my views now, not least that the sacred is limited if expressed merely as a masculine entity intent on creating a kingdom. But this is how I wrote and sang it back in 1974.
How beautiful is God’s good earth, my heart sings with the joy of birth, sings with the cosmos on this new day;
from every nation, comes the proclamation: today is God’s own day.
As the years do come and go, the kingdom of our God will grow, till in his family all are one;
united in one heart, never more to be apart, the victory of God is won.
Father’s hopes are on us all, we stand erect and hear his call; Father, we pledge our live today.
You need have no more fear, we will fulfil your will this year, the earth shakes as we shout Mansei.
+ Note: Mansei/mansay/manse: Korean, from Chinese: 10,000 years, long life, here meaning Victory! = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_thousand_years

Recommended: https://www.facebook.com/RosaClaireArt - herself description, in Google English: Rosa Claire van Vreden (1973) is an Amsterdam visual artist.
She grew up in the north of the Netherlands, in the village of Warfhuizen, where as a small child she preferred to spend hours in a row coloring and drawing at her mother's kitchen table.
In 1994 she moved to Amsterdam to follow an art course at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy.
After that she continued to develop autonomously in painting with acrylic paint, collage, mixed media and drawing, later also with oil and tempera painting, the so-called 'Mische Technique'.
She took lessons from various teachers including Amanda Sage and A. Andrew Gonzalez.
In this way she discovered that there is a movement in the visual arts in which she could recognize herself, the 'Visionary Art'.
The visionary visual artist sets himself the highest goal to create a 'bridge' through the work between the unconscious and the conscious, the dream and the reality, the heavenly and the earthly ...
She says about this:
"In the process of creating I use my head, because of course I need the skills and techniques that I have acquired over the years, but I follow my heart; I let the work be born from 'nothingness', and then step by step it unfolds. I try to become silent inside so that the artwork can find me and come out through my hands. "
She also teaches her way of working,
in the form of 'Intuitive Painting' workshops for both beginners and advanced students

Huge recommendation. BBC One, tonight, Dec 24, 21.00 UK time: A Christmas Carol 3; Scrooge is confronted with another spirit, which has assumed a familiar form drawn from his own tortured past. He witnesses the present day, and the seemingly happy Christmas enjoyed by the Cratchit family - but also learns there are cracks beneath the surface which he is responsible for making. The final ghost arrives to give Scrooge a glimpse of what the future holds - and a tragedy that will force him to confront the consequences of his misdeeds. = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Christmas_Carol_(miniseries) -

Connecting to sister friends at the Women federation of world peace conference in Washington DC at the J W Marriott yesterday. I sang two songs, “Colors of the wind” and “ Wind Beneath My Wings.” Here I am with Suzana Palencia whom I hadn’t seen in about 15 years. It was so much fun connecting with old friends again ! It was a very inspiring conference about women taking the lead to create world peace ! Dr. Sun Jin Moon was the keynote speaker.
