🍀 Het oog wil ook wat: Bij historisch denk je misschien aan oude meuk, en een stoffig hotel uit het jaar nul, maar niets is minder waar. Beide locaties, daterend uit de 15e eeuw, hebben een hele lading stijl. Denk aan zithoek in ouderwetse nisjes, statige deurposten, deftige houten deuren, en dat gecombineerd met strakke ontwerpen, Italiaanse designmeubelen en mooi eikenhout wat door het hele gebouw terugkomt. 

🍻 Horeca in de buurt: In het zelfde gebouw als Haus am Turm, vindt je VIN ZENZ. Om de hoek zit de goede Pizzeria Traube. En net buiten het dorp zit het farm to table restaurant Sprechenstein, waar alles van eigen land komt. Denk aan zelfgemaakte kazen, verse oogst uit eigen tuin en Patanegra. Mmm.


🐶Keffers en Kroost: De kids kunnen zeker mee: bij veel kamers is er een optie voor een extra slaapplek, of ook beschikken beiden plekken over familiekamers waar je tot zes personen kunt slapen. Honden zijn óók welkom!

Hotel Mooirivier, Oude Oever, Dalfsen, Nederland

📍Locatie, locatie, locatie: Mooirivier dankt haar naam aan de ligging aan de prachtige rivier de Vecht, in het groene Vechtdal. Zwemmen in de Vecht moet dus ook zeker op het programma (of op zijn minst een kanotocht om al dat water te verkennen). In de omgeving vind je fraaie landschappen, heide, bossen en weilanden vol bloemen.

🍀 Het oog wil ook wat: Wij vallen als een blok voor oude boerderijen met rieten daken, die zijn omgetoverd naar een huis of hotel van nu. Bij Mooirivier voel je gelijk dat er liefde in is gestoken: er is echt nagedacht over het ontwerp van de kamers, de lobby, het restaurant.

🐶Keffers en Kroost: Of deze plek wel kidsproof is? Ja, meer dan zelfs. Je keffer kun je dit keer thuislaten.

📍Locatie, locatie, locatie: De Sallandse Heuvelrug en het Reggedal vind je vlakbij In de Heuvelrug, en zijn prachtige natuurgebieden om in te wandelen. Voor de kids vind je er ook een speciaal kabouterpas en een speelbospad!

🍀 Het oog wil ook wat: De vijf vakantiehuizen liggen letterlijk ín heuvels. Altijd al willen ervaren hoe het is om als een Teletubbie te leven? De huizen van alle gemakken voorzien en modern ingericht. Dankzij de grote ramen aan beide zijdes komt er veel licht binnen.

🍻 Horeca in de buurt: Restaurant De Uitkijk (uitkijken doe je vanaf het terras op De Sallandse Heuvelrug) in Hellendoorn is een aanrader.
In Nijverdal heb je restaurant De Budde, waar het interieur je doet laten denken aan een knus chalet in Oostenrijk. Op de kaart vind je voornamelijk streekproducten, die worden geserveerd met een internationale twist. High Tea? Doen ze niet aan; wel een High Wine, Beer of Gin!
Op loopafstand van In de Heuvelrug vind je Tante Soof. Geen frutjes, geen liflafjes, gewoon degelijke kost en volle borden.

A beautiful hotel on the canal in the center of Middelburg - Cityhotel Wood. Warm and modern are the two key words to describe Cityhotel Wood. A quick word about the name: it's because the hotel used to be a sawmill company that was housed there years ago. All the wooden details and beams are a tribute to that past!

One of the highlights is the hotel restaurant, The Greenroom. Vegetables have a leading role, but for the enthusiast there is also an option for meat or fish. As many unprocessed, pure products as possible here and yes, that is absolutely delicious.

A tiny house that's not crazy tiny, a very succinct way to describe Buitenplek van Stek in Nunspeet. This not-so-tiny tiny house sleeps five people. Cozy for sure, but still plenty of space!

And certainly there's a great outside area with a large dining table, chairs for lounging and a BBQ for when the sun shines (although we are big fans of a winter BBQ). Because you are at Holiday Park De Vossenberg, it is not completely remote, but there is sufficient privacy.

The love and attention for the interior is evident. Each room has special and different colors (from Farrow & Ball), and it still remains a harmonious whole. The box bed is rurally romantic, while the other room has more of a forest theme, which the kids will of course enjoy (the wicker lamp here: so simple and lovely).

📍Nunspeet, Netherlandsstek

Near the Portugese coast and around the corner from Ericeira, you will find breathtaking Barril. There is sea, there is greenery, there is good surf and voilá, there is Casa Quintas! A lovely small-scale quinta where you can be lazy, swim and enjoy the surroundings. On your own private balcony, in the large garden or by the pool - the people of Casa Quintas know how to holiday!

There are games, a fridge full of cold drinks (wine and ice cream!) and the rooms are all different and all oh so beautiful. You may not even step outside the quinta (we understand), but if you get the itch and want to go out, there is more than enough to do and experience. Walking along the cliffs, kiting, mountain biking (also in combination with a wine tasting - bring it on) and you will find your zen during the yoga classes at Casa Quintas itself. Dutch owners Aranka and Jord also have plenty of tips on where to go, what to do and where to eat - the best grilled fish, the largest bowls of Sangria and of course the tastiest pastel de nata. They know it all.

📍Barril, Portugal

Villa Ruimzicht in Doetinchem in the east of the Netherlands is beautiful from the outside ánd from the inside. A monumental hotel where everything is just right: from the entrance to the warm welcome in the restaurant and all small details in between!

The hotel's rooms are modern and luxurious and all linked to a theme. Do you like bathing? Then choose the Water Fun Room with bath, shower, steam shower and infrared sauna. There is also a romantic room for two, including a whirlpool bath, rose petals on the bed, a bottle of champagne upon arrival and a large bathtub. Romantic much?

Sometimes you see these places that just make you so happy, just by looking at the pictures. Well, exactly this is the case with this beautiful place: Delvers Duinhuis in Egmond aan den Hoef. Really the place to get away from it all. Peace & quiet, loads of space, the beach, the sea, and Delvers Duinhuis is just around the corner from a large handful of really good local shops.

You can always wake us up for a night in a Pillows Hotel. Apparently we are not the only ones who think this way, because the (small) chain continues to grow. In addition to beautiful beautiful hotels in Ghent and Brussels, for example (among other things, they have more!) There is now also the new Maurits At the Park in Amsterdam's Oosterpark. An old university building on the Mauritskade was renovated for five years and Pillows Maurits At The Park opened its doors last November 2022. Yes Yes Yes! Finally a Pillows Hotel in our own Amsterdam. Possibly not for every wallet, but he: a girl can dream!
