In many countries it’s not normal for women to be part of the workforce. Women often stop working when they have children. That means less income for the family while there are more mouths to feed. We believe men and women should be treated with equality and deserve the same opportunities to grow. That is why we make sure the work environment is safe and the management stimulates the return to the workforce after pregnancy. We are proud to say the majority of our artisans is female.

After collection, they are transformed into beautiful accessories at workshop Hatti Hatti. From bracelets to pouches and scrunchies. Because every sari is different, all products differ from each other. So you have a product that is completely unique.

Workshop Hatti Hatti in Kathmandu, Nepal is all about sustainable - in every sense of the word - communities. Hatti is the Nepali word for elephant: elephants have big hearts and always take care of each other. Exactly what they do in this workshop as well. Hatti Hatti employs vulnerable women whose work enables them to increase their decision-making abilities.

Sajna is a coordinator at Hatti Hatti. Sajna: “Before I started working at Hatti Hatti, I was quite a shy, vulnerable girl. My work made me a confident and independent woman. It's great to see the women I work with grow. Together we get the best out of ourselves and each other.”

Last year we replaced Black Friday for Fair Friday. Consumers donated 1 euro for each order and we doubled this amount to educate schoolgirls in money management. We are proud to share the results and express our gratitude to everyone for their contributions.

About last night🥂✨… our founder Cathelijne was nominated for the Bold Woman Award! A prestigious award in the spirit of madam Cliquot. She was one of the earliest female entrepreneurs. At age 27 she boldly took over the company after her husband died. She made it a successful business.

It was an exciting evening. Beautifully hosted by in the .museum The competition was fierce. Check out this group of power ladies:
