Meet our carpentry students who have been training in Young Africa Zimbabwe Mt Darwin- Mobile Training site for the past two months under the Skills for Youth Resilience Project funded by SERVE
βIt is amazing to see how far they have come in such a short amount of time, as they are already creating standard furniture. They are trained on-the-job by a skilled Master Crafts person and also receiving theory lessons at the Vocational training centre with experienced trainers.
Mobile Training was piloted by YA Zimbabwe in 2013 and has been implemented in Zimbabwe since then. In 2019, it was introduced in YA Mozambique, then Namibia in 2022. ββ

We are excited to announce that the first cohort of the "Sustainable Youth Empowerment" project which is being implemented in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, is gearing up to graduate, marking a major milestone in their journey towards a brighter future.
Thanks to the invaluable funding from #PumaEnergyFoundation, young people are equipped with the skills to become qualified electrical solar technicians. Stay tuned for more updates on the very first graduation ceremony!
