Not many exciting things have been done lately on the Opel rekord and with the engines.
but I am now busy building and renovating the house and barn. but wants to try to do something about the engines and rekord in the meantime.
that all has to do with the new location for the entire project.
me and my family are getting a new shed at our new home.
The entire project will continue here later and then everything will be done at home. more space in the shed, so perhaps also room for projects for other people that I can do.

omg, what a difference in weight.
I didn't think it was half the weight.
a local motor cross company let me pick up this piston for free, and the other is the std c30se.
Now I can experiment with this, it's certainly a keeper because it actually matches my project almost perfectly.
if you look at the DTM of the Mercedes 190 evo, the weight is also extremely low to reach the high revs.
looking at pistons that I want to use for the 2nd engine. wants to reach 300 hp with a 2.0, so with what is currently on the market that is difficult to achieve. you can have them made, but you can also look at what is already available as standard on the market, for example for motorcycle pistons. I found something that comes close, but the recess of the exhaust valve is at the wrong angle. the rest fits perfectly, I could change the angle under the milling machine. but I doubt whether there is enough material there, we will see.

the result is that he has now gained 20 cfm. 230 to 250, with standard valves and seat. Now we are going to make the original seat a little bigger because we discovered that that is where the district is located.
and make the bend of the mouth opening a little less curvy, and hopefully the goal of 270cfm should be achievable. all with standard valves and seat.
The exhaust will come next, because it will of course have to be larger.
some Christmas presents will arrive shortly from Norway.

Heel eventjes dan, kijken of de uitlaat dicht is en de motor geen olie lekkages heeft.
En is gewoon leuk om te doen, is al weer te lang geleden.

Binnenkort de mijne starten op de motor bok.
It's been a while since I did anything on the projects. (project Rekord GS jps on circuit, and engine no. 2 300hp)
has to do with family time, but also with another project.
I can tell you more about this project, and it is bigger than anything I have ever done.
I don't have my own workshop or shed where I can do the entire Opel project.
But we are moving where I can build a shed, plans and permit quotes have already been made.
you will hear more about this in the future.
I'm also going to start the engine I have now because it has been standing still for a while. And it's just fun to start it up once in a while. ( video is coming)
nice to see an Opel engine that is being overhauled in a very clean workshop.

Meanwhile, I bought a CIH 1900S bottom block 2 weeks ago.
and a distribution cover from a CIH 2.0e.
I had the CIH 1600 crankshaft for a while, and had already slightly modified it.
prepared some parts, and bought some.
this 2nd engine block will be Epic, the best I can build.

I was too selfish, working from April on the polyester rear hood. and engine hood. but not a mold made for production, i thought that goes and was aware that it got a bit rougher. I make them for myself and making a mold was nonsense. it's not pretty enough for me, and it's getting too heavy. now go make a mold and try with fiberglas
Ik wou altijd al kijken wat van mooie inch maat past onder de Rekord.
Ook ivm dat je met grotere remschijven kunt gaan rijden.
Maar het moet ook tegelijkertijd classic lijken en het moet niet te groot zijn.
Race auto's van dit bouwjaar rijden wat ik kan zien met 16inch, nu zit er als proef 17inch op.
Ik vind het te groot, wat vinden jullie?
Opel Kadett blijft stw auto's voor, en heeft pole position straks op de Nürburgring. En dan gewoon met carburateurs 😆

Iedereen weet dat ik dit een hele tijd geleden heb gedaan op de freesmachine. Het inlaat Kanaal ovaal uit kotteren, en daar is het toen bij gebleven.( Foto 1 )
Voor de afwisseling, en het begon ook wel een beetje te kriebelen weer begonnen met wat fijne afwerking.
Gietijzeren geleiders er uit, en straks Messing er weer in.
En het hele spul straks op de flowbank kijken of ik over de 230 cfm ga.
Gisteren avond wat anders gedaan, meer foto's komen vanavond.

De moed en de draad maar weer oppakken.
Polyester fijn Tunen.
Vandaag weer bezig geweest met de binnenkant van de motorkap, wat een werk. Hars droogte ook hard met dit mooie weer waardoor ik snel moest werken.
Maar we werden vandaag ook getrakteerd met mooie auto's bij Flatlander Performance Parts. Waar we even langs gingen om weer de moet op te krikken voor mijn Eigen project.
