Husky Harmonica Microphones
I customize, repair and build vintage and new harmonica microphones. To me the microphone in itself is an instrument.
It is my pure intention to create a personal instrument for you.

These microphones from all over the world were brought to me last week by harpfriends Henk En Vicky D'haen and Dave Reniers from Belgium and I really felt like diving into them straight away. So this became my weekend project. Starting in Germany the Beyer Soundstar X1 (1970) microphone (mid-Z) gave me some challenges, but by giving it some time and overnite dreams I came to the solution. And so I went along into the Pacific attacking the Japanese Aiwa brothers (1958), custom fitting a Switchcraft connector and then back to Germany with the Beyer M55 (1967) installing a guitar jack... Flying back again to Japan to start work on the famous Sony F3B (1965), the secret harpmic... very rare in Europe and very very good tone (also very heavy!) volume control and Switchcraft connector (drilling these things cost me some drills...) Finally over to the USA to work on the Astatic 333-S (1960's) Installing a Switchcraft....without opening the body it was a challenge...also threading that lean back-end to fit a Switchcraft connector was a bit nerve wrecking.
After removing the original 1939 crystal (under construction) I created a custom black thunder element. Then cut off 2cm of the original handle, installed a guitar jack in an adapter sleeve... Fidget fitted a volume pot in the shorter part of the handle. The handle is in two parts actually, connected by the screw ring. The wish was to make it as short as possible including guitar jack and volume. This is my solution. I love the T3 for the size, weight and the rim of the grille making it easy to hold. There is not much space inside the shell because it is blocked by a thick metal plate that functions as a base for the handle. This always makes it a challenge to fit it all in. Fully enjoyed this project again!!
Another custom job. The Green and Gold Flake Mini Bullet Edge with Black Thunder element.
Next project! Emerald Green base with a candy green gold glitter and another clear topcoat. This one is going to California soon!
This is what you receive when you've ordered one of my microphones complete with a special ammo clip (thanks to Ben Reese from Battle Plan Harmonica). Ger de Vries this is coming your way!
Another Duckegg Mini Bullet Edge. This one is a special with XLR connection. Playing here on the smallest ever battery run ampy... Don't want to wake the neighbors 😉
I call this one the Frosty Villain. It is a Duckegg Blue powdercoat sealed with a chameleon sparkled misty pwder clearcoat. Inside the Red Devil element and a recessed volume control in the back. Switchcraft connector. Medium polished grille
