OX.Café came up with a delicious nee Asian inspired menu for our last month. Try our new French Toast with dates, Wasabi Grilled cheese, Spring Rolls with tofu, or any of the other new dishes!🥪

OX is welcoming on the 18th of March to create a Vinyasa Yoga flow with you! You will start your week with a "new moon flow" class in our event space, followed by a drink of choice.

This session will be a 60 minutes dynamic sequence which will also include breathwork and mindfulness; new moon manifesting - setting intentions. Don't forget to bring your own mat!

Grab your brushes, because Saturday the 16th of March “Inscaping” will be held at OX! This workshop by focuses on painting from inner imagination and intuition. Through the workshop, that inner story will be translated with paint onto the canvas.

Learn the secrets of brewing your own delicious Kombucha in the upcoming workshop by .rotterdam! The workshop will consist out of 2 parts, guiding you through the steps to craft your own kombucha!

BE BRAIDED invites you to join the braiding community, and learn about the history and basic techniques of cornrow braiding.

Roots & Rows is a cornrow braiding workshop that passes on our African ancestor’s traditions. You will learn about the art of braiding through history, the meaning and cultural identity behind the hairstyles – and of course, you’ll be guided into using the techniques to braid your own cornrows.

Film Stories, curated by Rotterdam-based film production company mint2, is a series of film events. Centred around a single director and their work, Film Stories presents the full picture of filmmaking, with all the compromises, decisions, and dilemmas that come with it. Setbacks and how to overcome them are central to the conversation between the maker, moderator, and public.

During the first edition of Film Stories, filmmaker Suzanne Koopstra will be our guest. We will be screening a selection of her work, ranging from music videos and commercial work to her most recent documentary Pleasant Hell, which premiered at the previous IFFR. In this film, the fourth-year Film Academy student portrays her four Rotterdam friends trying to cope with the aimlessness that characterises the city. In this dreamy style experiment, Suzanne does not only tell the tale of the drifting group of friends - during the research phase of the film, the filmmaker lost a dear friend and fellow student. As a result, Pleasant Hell became a space for wonder, imagination, and personal grief.

During a conversation with mint2's Filmmaker Flo Meijer, Suzanne discusses her creative process. She explains how she freely blends production design, animation, and documentary, while also maintaining her authenticity and values in commissioned work.

Film Stories is a series of film events curated by Rotterdam-based film production company .nl. “Film Stories” shows that in the process of filmmaking, setbacks are allowed and perseverance always wins. For this first edition, they invited a Rotterdam filmmaker we hold very dearly: Suzanne Koopstra. On the 13th of March, she will present a selection of her work, including video clips and her latest documentary Pleasant Hell, which premiered at the previous IFFR.

After the screenings, mint2's filmmaker Flo Meijer talks with Suzanne about her creative process, how she freely blends production design, animation, and documentary, and how she stays true to herself and her values when creating commissioned work. So we will spill all the tea, and maybe you’ll learn from her process too!

EwaldxRos presents the group show : POWER PLAY at OX!

The group show POWER PLAY presents recent work by the artists Katharina D. Martin, Pip Passchier, Alexandra Phillips and Mirjam Somers. By invitation of EwaldxRos, the four artists present works related to the topic of power as well as the various ways we approach it. This may concern mundane objects, compelling structures in our society, the dynamics between humans and animals, as well as clear symbols of political and eventual tyrannic power, displayed in video, sculptures and objects.

On Wednesday the 6th of March will be hosting a workshop on vegetarian cassava soup, teaching you how to make a vegetarian soup without any flavor enhancers.

Davida was born and raised in Suriname. At the age of 18, she moved to the Netherlands. As a child, some of her fondest memories are from the Arawak indigenous village of Apoera, where her mother was born. It was in Apoera that her love for soup began, where she tasted the most delicious soups made completely from scratch.

Raam Maar is organizing another Riso workshop on Their RISO stencil printer. The workshop on Thursday the 7th of March will be hosted by Ellie Mc Guinness and Iris van Velzen.

During this workshop you will learn what a stencil printer is, and how you can use it for printing graphic work. How to create different effects by printing layers on top of each other. This will be an entry-level workshop, no prior RISO printing experience needed. We hope to see you there!

Rotterdam-based plays a mix of fuzzy electro, italo and disco house, in other words music that is supposed to be danced on. Highly influenced by her dad, who has a great passion for music that made her fall in love with music too. Now they often play together, but this time at ox, it’s Minty playing solo.

A.L.P.
is a Rotterdam based DJ with roots in House, Jazz, Hip-Hop and disco. The co-owner of Bound45 brings different genres together containing his favourite tracks and artists. Expect a variety of different genres with groovy, underground house and boogie sounds.
