Uprooting discrimination and exclusion from the fabric of society is not an easy task. Much progress has already been made, yet the road is full of difficulties and setbacks. There is no simple solution. It will require a unified and sustained effort from people from all colours and backgrounds.

Meaningful conversations is an open space for anyone to participate actively. We will bring together professionals from different backgrounds and levels of experiences around one topic. The goal is to create a space where participants can share their insights, challenge their assumptions and inspire each other to take meaningful actions.

Netherlands, Cameroon, Luxemburg, Indonesia, Belgium, Caribbean's, El Salvador. You can find all of these backgrounds in this picture (and maybe not where you would expect them). We believe that the beauty of a team or organisations resides within its diversity. It creates a large pool of different world views, approaches and methodologies which enrich the organisation. But with the wrong attitudes it can lead to tensions, injustices and suffering. How can we address these injustices ?
There is no simple solution. It will require a unified and sustained effort from people from all colours and backgrounds. To address discrimination of any kind – racial, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious – we have to do this together.

Yesterday our NL team met for the first time on-site in our office in Rotterdam. The goal of this meeting was to set priorities for Q4 2021. It was an insightful gathering which aloud everybody to align their personal objectives with an overarching collective goal. But the most important was being able to sit next to one another, laugh and eat together; things which were taken for granted not so long ago.
