Everyone’s all seen those wildlife shows on tv. The shows on National Geographic and such, showing animals in beautiful environments, everything lush and growing and nothing at all wrong that could threaten these creatures and places. But, have anyone seen the other side? The side where all these beautiful creatures and plants starve, are decimated by predators that have never been there before, and sometime even become poisoned by their very own homes and habitats?

Since the beginning of man there has also been wildlife. There are the animals, the wild plants and also the ocean creatures. For thousands of years animals have made almost every inch of earth their home. Now that man has exceedingly populated, the numbers of animals have dropped drastically. There are vast varieties of species that have become extinct and others that are in the same path. Animals are not alone in this, but also wild plants, and water living creatures that are becoming rarer in these times.

The Blue Macaw are officially declared extinct...
Be ashamed humans, this is not right...😭

08/02/2019

This alarming rate of extinction is 100-1,000 times, and perhaps even 11,000 times, greater than the expected natural rate.
One in four of the world’s mammals are now threatened with extinction in the near future. So are one in eight birds, one in five sharks, one in four coniferous trees, and one in three amphibians.
By and large, the cause of this decline is human activities. The land we use for living space, farming, mineral and aggregate extraction, fuel; the things we buy; and the waste we produce – all these contribute to the main causes of species loss.

Wildlife is a precious gift of God to this planet. The term ‘wildlife’ not only caters to wild animals but also takes into account all undomesticated lifeforms including birds, insects, plants, fungi and even microscopic organisms. For maintaining a healthy ecological balance on this earth, animals, plants and marine species are as important as humans. Each organism on this earth has a unique place in food chain that helps contribute to the ecosystem in its own special way. But, sadly today, many of the animals and birds are getting endangered. The natural habitats of animals and plants are being destroyed for land development and farming by humans.

If you don't love animals, you'll never love the wild.

Flamingos are one of the oldest species of birds, with fossil remains dating back 30 to 50 million years. They live in tropical and sub-tropical latitudes, either far inland or in large lakes or lagoons, such as tidal flats or mangrove swamps close to the sea.

The first is the regulation of the time of year when hunting can occur. The second is the setting of “bag limits” that restrict the greatest number of animals that any hunter can harvest. Third is limiting the total number of animals that can hunted into a particular area, I think it’s a good idea to put a limit on it so we can still have a good amount of number of animals that we need. Lastly there is a restriction to the hunt to certain elements of the populations.

Like forests, wildlife is also a national resource, which not only helps in maintaining the ecological balance but is also beneficial from economic, recreational and aesthetic points of view. There was a time when human interference was minimum the number of wild animals was quite high and there was no problem of their protection or conservation. But, with the expansion of agriculture, settlement, industrial and other developmental activities and mainly due to greed of man, the number of wild animals gradually became lesser and lesser. With the result that several species of animals have become extinct and several, others are on the verge of being so.
