Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in The Netherlands

Today at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received a delegation from the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS) led by Prof. Yankov Kolev, IAFS President. The delegation is in Rwanda to attend the inaugural conference of the African Forensic Sciences Academy (AFSA) underway in Kigali. The event brings together forensic science professionals globally, to discuss the ecosystem of forensic science on the African continent.

On the sidelines of , Minister Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe met with Dr. Vince Henderson, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy of the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica 🇩🇲.

During the meeting, they signed a MoU on Visa Requirements Exemption, facilitating further people-to-people exchanges between Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Dominica 🇩🇲.

Day 2 | Minister Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe held a meeting with Hon. Peter Shanel Agovaka, Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of the Solomon Islands. During their meeting, the two ministers signed a joint communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between Rwanda 🇷🇼 and the Solomon Islands 🇸🇧, marking a new chapter in bilateral relations.

Yesterday and today, 2 groups of students from Universiteit Leiden / Leiden University Campus The Hague were received at the Embassy for an interactive session to learn about Rwanda's history, the Rwanda of today and its vision, and the role of the Embassy of Rwanda in The Hague.

In New-York for the , Minister Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe chaired the 24th Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Minister’s Meeting . This meeting touched on the preparations of taking place in Apia, Samoa 🇼🇸 from 21-26 October 2024, under the theme: 'One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth'.

The meeting also explored strategies to enhance infrastructure, governance, and resilience across the Commonwealth 🌍.

Day 1 | Minister Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe attended the 17th Ministerial Meeting of the Global Governance Group (3G) convened in New York today. The annual meeting aims to explore how the 3G and the G20 could work together to address challenges facing the international community.

The group was founded by Singapore in 2009 and comprises of 30 Member States of the UN.
