The Optimal Enfold Performance settings for 2020

When Fade.Studio created a new website, it had to be fast, lightning-fast with minimal effort. Although there are some good tutorials online and comprehensives guides, we could not find a guide tailored for the WordPress theme Enfold from Kriesi. So we created this page. On this page, you will find the settings for the Enfold theme, Optimole, WP Rocket, and the settings for Cloudflare CDN which we use for this website.

It took quite a while to figure out the right combination of settings between WP Rocket, Enfold, and Cloudflare. We would like to share our knowledge with you to save you time and trouble. This guide is now also available as PDF for you to download. Visit our website for link and details.

Rkhamwin

Rkhamwin is an enchanting town in the heights of the Neaudidor mountain, the tallest in Seyhairia at a height of nearly 2.500 meters. The residents as well as the buildings have a relatively small number of polygons but nobody seems to be really concerned about that. Want to visit the village? Please ask your local travel agency for the details.

Digital Ornament

Digital Ornament: A sphere with different variations of color and displacements settings. Inspired by the “Displacement Experiments // C4D Tutorial” tutorial on Vimeo by EQUILOUD Fade.Studio made some variants with different texture settings and materials. Looking for all the noise displacement variants check the Displacement Examples page. For the studio we used the light kit pro by Greyscalegorilla adjusted with blue and grey lights from the sides. The material for the balls exists of luminous orange and dark blue greyish for the outside. The luminous orange with the dark studio gives a nice atmosphere to the whole set.

Hikeshi - Tiny Planet

Hikeshi has a diameter of only 1036 kilometers which makes it the smallest planet in the Thepu system. The planet has an earth-like atmosphere, the plains consist of grass with a river crossing, and therefore humans van habitat this planet. Hikeshi has some mountains where Aturkiinia is the largest with a height of 3543 meters. Aturkiinia is the only mountain where the peak is constantly covered in snow. Hikeshi is made with low poly textures and only five colors. As a result, the look is very cartoon. The main body consists of two spheres where we deleted the surfaces of the outer sphere. It creates the river as a result.

To create the mountains I made a selection of surfaces and subtracted them from the outer sphere. I also added some trees to give the sizes some perspective. Because I like to share. The project is available for download so you can create your own tiny planet. Interested? Visit our website

Titanlton - Rocky Planet

In a galaxy far away a planet called Titanlton floats through space accompanied by its own little Sun and Moon. With a diameter of only 250 km, it’s more a floating rock instead of a planet. Titanlton consists of rock, mountains, trees, and a large lake. You can see Titanlton on a bright day from the Fade.Studio office if you know where to look. The planet is still uninhabited but who knows what the future might bring …

Penrose Triangle

The Penrose Triangle, also known as the impossible triangle is a triangular impossible object. An impossible object is a type of optical illusion. It consists of a 2D figure which is instantly and subconsciously interpreted by the visual system as representing a projection of a 3D object. See for yourself and let your mind figure out. You can download the Adobe Illustrator source file from our website.

Displaced Waves

Creating a displacement together with a circular color pattern. The result; displaced waves. For the studio, we used the light kit pro by Greyscalegorilla adjusted with green and orange lights from the sides to complement the waves itself. The material for the waves exists of shiny green and orange colors placed with a circular pattern. If you have any questions, leave a comment, or use the contact page on our website.

Nice Atmosphere

Fade.Studio has been fooling around with different materials in Cinema 4D. It has been a while since we used Cinema 4D so all is a bit rusty but we are getting there. For the studio we used the light kit pro by Greyscalegorilla adjusted with blue and purple lights from the sides. The material for the balls exists of luminous orange flames and dark blue greyish surroundings. The luminous orange with the dark studio gives a nice atmosphere to the whole set.

A sphere is a perfectly round geometrical object in three-dimensional space that is the surface of a completely round ball.

Displaced Donuts

Playing around with the material displacement feature together with luminance in Cinema 4D to create these displaced donuts. Quite satisfied with the results so far. The object consists of a donut that has been deformed by a sweep object. The material has a colorized displacement texture applied and the colorized texture has a tile texture with different colors. The result: Displaced Donuts.

Dark side of the Ball

With inspiration found in the Pink Floyd Pulse DVD cover of the 1994 concert Fade.Studio made this beautiful dusk 3D concept with two metal balls in a beautiful HDRI environment. The concept is a tribute to Pink Floyd, the favorite band at Fade.Studio.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you’re in starts playing different tunes
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon

Sometimes the most simple concepts result in the most beautiful designs. Cube City is an excellent example of that. Made out of just a simple square and displacement using an external picture. We used Jsplacement to generate the displacement map. Jsplacement is a free across-platform pseudo-random 8K displacement map generator written in HTML and JS. We have edited the export from Jsplacement to embed the Fade.Studio company name. For the studio, we used the light kit pro by Greyscalegorilla adjusted with white and yellow lights from the sides. The material for the cube exists of luminous red flames for the lower parts and light grey for the cube itself. The luminous red with the light studio gives a nice atmosphere to the whole concept.
