Na een aantal jaar als componist in theater actief geweest te zijn is het nu tijd om me iets meer te richten op het uitbrengen van eigen werk. Eerst zullen de komende tijd releases plaatsvinden van eigen elektronisch werk, later zullen er ook wat theaterwerken volgen die ik de moeite waard vind om uit te brengen. Maar hou nu eerst deze pagina in de gaten voor mijn eerste single die uitkomt op 8 Mei!
MRMN
MRMN is an electronic music producer based in Amsterdam. For five years he has been building a modular synthesizer, which is the foundation in producing his music right now. His sounds are textural, big and full of ambiance, together this creates a ‘larger than life’ feeling. To establish this MRMN borrows techniques he used earlier to make soundscapes and music for theater. On stage he mostly built worlds of sound in which there was room for the emotions of the performers.
In Juli 2020 he takes his biggest step yet from the stage to the electronic pop-world: In his first EP “A State of Mind” ,full of these big sounds, MRMN gives room to his own fragility and vulnerability. By using his voice associative lines come to life, inspired by his thoughts and feelings. MRMN tries to create a bond between the listener and his own inner world. The processing of personal crises and the feeling of loneliness resonate through the whole EP.
Turn the lights out - we will see all our thoughts and memories.
