ZAZU Amsterdam is a fashion label with a consciousness that is all about knitwear from alpaca and merino wool. After four months of trial and error to achieve the perfect shape and fit, we are ready to launch our first collection for women! We are of the opinion that everyone deserves to wear clothes that make both wearer and maker proud. That is why we make knitwear with a good story behind it. T
his is how we do it:
Fair production
- Our artisans receive a fair wage (5 times market value) for their work
- Their workplace is safe and they have reasonable working hours.
- Our clothes are made by women, not by children! We work with environmentally responsible wool
- Our wool is untreated with chemicals and we use low-impact (non-toxic) dyes
- We use free-range wool from alpaca llamas from the Andes and Uruguayan merino sheep, well-treated by their owners
-Merino-wool has anti-bacterial capacities which means no frequent washing is required (=beneficial for the environment)
