Hebben we je al hongerig gemaakt met deze juicy foto?🤤 Mooi zo. Want deze burger van Falafval is een guilty pleasure waar je je niet schuldig om hoeft te voelen.
Falafval is namelijk gemaakt van restgroenten. Hiermee willen ze laten zien (en proeven) dat veel voedselafval geen écht afval is. We love faALVAL!🌿

SURPRISE🚚🥙

This weekend we're taking our FALAFVAL-truck to our friends at . From Thursday till Sunday we’ll be serving our pita’s on the terrace next to .rotterdam & . The truck will be open from 16:00 till 23:00.

NO SOUR FACES NECESSARY

Because with this simple recipe you can save your veggies for a long time. You probably have most ingredients in your pantry already! Also, did you know that soured greens are DELICIOUS with our FALAFVAL? We always top our pita FALAFVAL with soured onion, but you could also try carrots, cabbage, or anything that tickles your fancy! So let's get sour and save some veggies from your bin!

INGREDIENTS:
-Vinegar (150 ml)
-Sugar (1/2 tbsp)
-Salt (1/2 tbsp)
-Garlic (1 clove)
-Water (300ml)
-Star anise
-Leftover veggies

Combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk together until sugar and salt are fully dissolved. You can heat up the mixture to make this easier. Pour the pickling mixture over your (sliced) vegetables and let them set for an hour. Store in an airtight jar to save it for many months!

BABYBOY MAKE ME LOSE MY BREAD.

If we look at the top 10 most wasted products by Dutch households, bread and bread-based products come in at number one. And that's a shame, because no one wants to lose their bread.That's why our zero waste friends at Bakkersgrondstof are developing pita's that are made from leftover bread.

We're patiently waiting for the perfect recipe and can't wait to switch to these circular pita's! - after all, it's the yeast we can do.

YUMM!! 🤤

One of our signature sauces on the delicious pita FALAFVAL: Tahin sauce! The sauce is made of (surprise surprise) tahin! But we also use 'B class' or waste streams from garlic for that extra kick. This makes the perfect addition to our dish.
